A homely Queenslander has its modernised top half converted into the B&B, which has 4-5 bedrooms with ensuites .. I was given the bridal suite, which also has a spa. A kitchen with well stocked breakfast items allows guests to prepare what they desire., including cooked eggs. I was unwell due to travel and welcomed a day in a comfy bed needing privacy.

Noise carries in Queenslanders and it's a cramped space for 5 couples to navigate breakfast. I did partake but did consume some fruit and plenty of raising toast when guests had left.

We loved this B&B, Jon was a great host, friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough for us including giving us a lift into town for our evening meal because it was raining. Our room looked out onto the garden at the back, the bed was extremely comfortable and the house and garden are absolutely beautiful and full of character. Breakfast was DIY with lots of choice and a chance to meet other guests. Wine and beer are in the fridge and available to buy at a reasonable price. Jon has put a lot of thought into the detail of this place and it makes for a very pleasant stay. We loved our brief stay at the Torquay and hope to return one day. Very tidy B&B, nice tidy kitchen with a touch of flare. It's very tidy and clean, Our 4 night stay was very enjoyable with all the comforts of home. Very friendly and professional owner of the establishment who has a fantastic personality, is always ready to support and make your stay enjoyable. This is our second stay, and we will definitely stay again. Thank you, John.

Great breakfast options, very quiet and private, walking distance to local cafes, restaurants and the bay. Knowledgable, attentive and helpful host. Great pod coffee maker.

One pillow was uncomfortable but this was no problem as there were others to choose from.

Host very obliging & allowed early arrival. I had come 4,000klms to visit a very sick friend, so opportunity to freshen up before visiting was most welcome. Enjoyed my subsequent conversations with Jon on a wide range of subjects.

Hervey Bay Taxis take 40 to 50 minutes from booking. Get Uber instead.

Attentive host ensuring that we had all we needed plus excellent breakfast setup. Handy location for accessing local restaurants and shops. Offered an upgrade and enjoyed the balcony and jacuzzi bath in the room.

Jon was an excellent host. We arrived much later than planned and he stayed up to let us in. He checked in on us while we were there as well which was nice. It was great to have breakfast ready each morning.

The room was small, but fit our needs just fine.

The room and bathroom was very clean, great aircon. We didn’t get to use the breakfast room but it looked great. Quiet and cosy, felt comfortable.

Not sure if the key let us lock the bedroom door so we left it unlocked every time we went out.

There was an excellent choice for breakfast and the host also brought some lactose free milk for us. Very attentive host.

Really enjoyed our stay, very quiet place with easy access. We will strongly recommend this venue to friends and family. Great place where you feel very welcome. Thanks again
