The Woolshed Eco Lodge, is a fantasticly quaint place to stay in Hervey Bay and just the place to recharge some batteries after an exhausting journey from the UK. It's an ideal spot while passing through for trips to Fraser Island and when the season is right the whale watching tours. With them early starts and long days a quiet place such as this is perfect to get a good night's rest. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the cleanliness was superb. Although it being a quiet place to stay, so don't expect a party, it still had lovely people passing through to enjoy a chin wag and to share some stories. Cheers Woolshed team!

Helpful staff. Nice grounds. Good to have a little ensuite shower. Room was small but OK once we'd stored our things under the bed, but they are wooden construction so not soundproof at all, though luckily it was a pretty quiet place. Location was good for the beach and local shops but not close to the jetty or marina. Kitchen was good and we got our own box or crockery. Really helpful to let us use the facilities in the evening after we checked out while we waited for our Greyhound bus.

Not a good curtain so it was too light from the big light outside overnight. You can hear every noise from other rooms so a heavy snorer kept me awake for hours one night.

Spacious room within a structure of natural timbers for flooring and roof. Excellent air-conditioning and natural ventilation if preferred. The shared kitchen and dining area is lovely and again is an earthy, easy to relax in space.

My room did not have a private bathroom attached; however I knew this when booking and the shared bathrooms were more than fine and provided privacy. This might be a turn off for some, however it is well promoted as to what is being provided.

The room I had was quite charming, though simple. The location is relatively convenient. I didn't stay for long enough, but it seems like there are lots of fun facilities from a giant Connect 4, and outdoor bbqs. The hammocks are also a nice touch.

The mattress could use replacing in the room I was in. Also, while it's so lovely to feel like you're in a treehouse, on the windy night I was there a tree was banging on the tin roof throughout the night. I have earplugs and it still woke me up.

We arrived very early on the greyhound bus. Staff were super helpful and helped us to check in as soon as reception opened as our room was already available. Our twin room was very comfortable. Had a fan and air conditioning. Outdoor communal spaces were lovely and peaceful. Good location, walking distance from beach.

We stayed when it was very hot. There is no fan or air conditioning in the kitchen so it was extremely hot in there, unpleasant for cooking. Air con was very noisy so we didn’t want to leave it on through the night, but it was so hot we would have liked to!

The staff were really helpful providing a map and instructions to get around. Woolshed Eco Lodge is a bit far from the main pier, but there is a regular bus. Since I love to walk, I walked about 15 km along the beach and then to the Botanic Gardens. Thanks for recommending the gardens. I was able to leave my luggage while waiting for my bus and continue to use the internet in the common area.

It was difficult understanding which items to put into which bin for recycling.

A really cute little accommodation not far away from beach in typical Aussie Woodshed style. Our room was very spacious even we just booked the basic room. You have to rent or bring your own towels. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. I like that you get a box with plates, bowls and cutlery. It's a little bit noisy in the rooms, so if yoi're a light sleeper bring earplugs. It's definitely worth its money. We would come back.

The staff were excellent, beds were comfortable and the place was super clean. The lady at the counter was very friendly and so was her husband and they also allowed me to park my car inside. They gave us a box full of cutlery which I thought was very hygienic Additionally they also gave me two extra pillows because I have a spinal issue

An extra plug in the room would have been nice to charge but honestly I won't complain

Good place to calm down and relax. Not many guests. Nature feeling and lot‘s of hammocks.

Because everything is made on wood (with is sustainably friendly and a good thing actually) are the walls very thin and you can hear every little sound from neighbors. Not so much privacy. The rooms are very simple and a bit pricely for what you get. With earplugs it was fine and I had luck that others were respectful and quiet after 10/11 pm so I would come again because of the lovely and relaxing garden:)!

Rooms were very clean and nice staff. There are only fans in the room but it was still alright to sleep. Personal cutlery and dishes were provided - really cute! The other guests were also calm and there was barely any noise!
