The bed was super comfy and the facilities were clean and in good order. We used the group kitchen area to cook our meals and they were well appointed.

I don't like that the lights outside the rooms are left on all night. When I wake up, I have no sense of whether it is still dark, or daytime as it is so bright outside through the curtains. If you could have a switch to turn off the outside lights once the residents were 'home' that would be better and no lights if no one is using a room. Better for customers, better for the environment and better for those paying for the electricity!

We stayed in the possum room. The room was simple and cozy with access to a balcony. Surrounded by natural green gardens and wildlife, both native and domestic, which brings a calming touch. Quiet little resort with plenty of facilities (mostly for summer activities). The bed was comfy and simple for a few-night stay, and the pillows were like clouds. You can come and go as you please with no fuss to coming in and out of reception. We plan to stay there again.

The reception for TV was not great, but no Stay Aways usually are, be it a resort, caravan park, hotel or motel. They expect you to go out and enjoy the area and have adventures throughout the day. The room is just a haven to rest in between activities and adventures.

On the outside the log cabins looked shabby and run down but inside was very nicely refurbished, spacious and very comfortable. As some windows were left open there was some debris blown around the cabin. Had to wash the table and fridge door as there were dirty. It would be awesome if there was a microwave and there is plenty of room to have one. There were plenty of power points which was wonderful. Loved the gardens which made it a private little haven away from home. Really enjoyed the many varieties of birds including the Peacocks wandering around. We will definitely return again. TO THE STAFF: Please fix the tiles at back door as I twisted my ankle on the gap in them. Thankfully it wasn't too bad, but it could be a disaster waiting to happen. It would be an easy fix. A timed night light on arrival would be helpful as it is very hard to see in the dark. Both back doors could NOT be unlocked from outside which meant you had to go around the front of cabin to enter and unlock the back doors. Not a biggie but just inconvenient.

Green and great atmosphere. Loved seeing the peacocks and frogs etc. Staff member on arrival was friendly and explained everything well. A lot of people but was a quiet nights sleep. Good to have a cup of tea and coffee in the room and many tv channels to choose from. Linen on the bed was wonderful and super clean. To different height pillows to choose from!!! Bliss.

Floor in bathroom smelled like wee. Soap didn’t lather very well. Minor things that didn’t spoil our stay.

Basic bedroom with bed only in the room. Shared kitchen and shared bathroom. Had a pool, deck and communal area which were good. Admin staff not sighted as admin was close when I arrived. Phone / email contact only. Had a chat to the gardener, as he was busy maintaining the gardens which were pretty good. Location good as close to Urangan Harbour, close to the esplanade walks and the botanical garden.

The mattress on the bed could be improved.

Just liked the the atmosphere & tropical surrounds. The rooms were clean & tidy. The verandas was a great place to sit & enjoy what nature offers. Greeting the peacocks was very good Pricing was very good & more than competitive. No complaints really.

Nothing really to complain about.

On arrival, gentleman at front counter was friendly and welcoming. We had a Queen deluxe room. Very clean. Very happy with our commendation, will definitely stay again , when in the bay again. Yes it's a bit rustic, but we love rustic. Thankyou Colonial Village Resort.

Only thing was the damn mosquito's. lol. But that's what mosquito coils are for.

animals was nice to see ashram there was no girls for the peacocks

the car parking at our room was very hard to get in and out of without hitting something. now i know why next door parked on the road. internet was crap ashram we had to leave the comfit of our cabin to use it... its not that hard or dear too get a axtension. phone internet was better anyway.

The room was spacious, a small fridge in the room, a beautiful back porch and a nice garden. The peacocks were such a delight! The room was relatively clean.

The sofa was very old, bedsheets smelled not very fresh. The laundry was very dirty and no clothes basket or clothes pegs, and very few dishes in the common kitchen, and the Wifi working only in the common area.

The bird life

The unit was musty smelling. It obviously was a pet unit, so if allergic to animals one should not stay there. It was clean but no bath mat nor hand towel. Free parking is nowhere near your unit. In saying that you get what you pay for. Cheap for Hervey Bay
