The location was beautiful , very hot in our bedroom as it was that side of the building getting the morning sun rise but it’s that time of year, the aircon in the lounge kept it comfortable other than that pool was lovely , views were beautiful & food around us was awesome. Love mooloolabah , was my first time I’ll def be back and staff was so accommodating to us at arrival.

Our room 308 or 309 could benefit from having bit more shelter from summer sun rise maybe option of some kind of pull down shade but outside the bedroom windows to help keep bedroom cooler in mornings , like the curtains on the inside but a outside sheer option to help shade the windows, that side of the building gets all the sun first half the day so a pull down option that hooks on to the railing or something for outside the glass windows could be great. Maybe a firmer mattress too as my partner is a big guy and he had a really sore back after 4 nights , he sunk into the mattess which made it harder to enjoy the ceiling fan which could probably go a bit quicker ..

I like everything about this accommodation. This is my favourite place to stay while in Mooloolaba. I've stayed here over and over and will continue to do so everytime I come here. The things I love are the location, the rooms, the pool area, the close beach,, the proximity to town centre, shops, restaurants and surf club, the walking tracks below, the views, the staff and the service they provide

I dont think there is 1 thing I don't like. Sometimes they are booked out, and I don't like that. Then I go and stay at Coloundra.or Noosa

The staff at Sandcastles were so friendly and welcoming. I'm not sure the location could be any better for us. Although the hotel itself was a little dated, it was clean, comfortable and ideal for our brief stay. My daughter (5 years old) loved the spa and pool area.

There was nothing to not like. The price we paid was on point for the opening hours of reception and style of accommodation. This is not a five star resort and is priced accordingly.

We had a lovely rooftop apartment with a view of the beach and boardwalk on the left hand side of the building. Little circular ladder to our own rooftop section with a table/chairs and small bbq. Room was small as expected but perfectly comfortable. Downstairs pool and spa were nice too. As its directly behind the surf club easy access to beach and facilities and not much further to the wharf with all its tourist attractions and awesome places to eat

Accommodation was central and close to everything. Sealife Aquarium was so close we could’ve thrown a stone from our balcony and it land there, the beach, shops and restaurants were just as short a walk. We were pleasantly surprised at how close to everything we were! The pool and spa were both heated and quiet when we used them. The apartment was well maintained and had all the basic amenities we needed.

This is such an incredibly superficial complaint, but the curtains in the bedroom were horrible. Both mornings we woke up early due to the sun shining in both over and through the curtains. If you’re sensitive to light, I’d recommend a sleep mask if you’re wanting to avoid waking up the same time as the sun.

The woman on reception was exceptionally friendly, warm and welcoming! Lovely view out to sea, easy access to beach, restaurants and the wharf. Quite a large space for a one-bedroom apartment. Easy parking. Pool and BBQ area is great too!

Worktop is small if you were staying for a while and needed to cook, hard to have kettle and toaster both out at once. Bring your own toiletries as no shower gel/conditioner.

Perfectly located: easy walk to beach, restaurants, cafes & surf club. Private rooftop terrace view (408) made for relaxing evenings. Reception staff were friendly & accommodating.

Apartment entry door does not self/auto lock, requires locking manually from both inside & outside. Not a huge issue but would recommend general use items be updated/replaced (dinner plates chipped etc).

Really good location, less than a minute to the beach. Everything worked well.

Access to the washing machine is cramped. the 'hood' over the range is easy to bang your head on - no harm done but a bit odd. The apartment was fine but next time I'd look at 2 bedrooms, just more room etc.

Did not like that only 2 rolls of toilet paper were allowed for and only two towels. No face clothes. Not enough for 4 nights stay.

The first apartment issued was not suitable for elderly people but the second apartment was perfect. It had everything we required. The bed was very comfortable with lovely white linen, comfortable chairs, with a dining table and chairs. Tegan and Joel were so pleasant and very helpful in ensuring we were happy with everything. We had sun from 11 am until sunset and enjoyed our time sitting in the balcony reading and enjoying the view. The shops, Surf Club and beach were five minutes walk. Would definitely recommend time here.

Perhaps a bowl and a Pyrex jug, also a hand mixer. We were pleased with everything else.
