Location, staff, facilities, golf course, bed, balcony view and spa were great! We played our first game of golf and were able to hire everything at the pro shop. We had fun in the bar playing pool & darts, and of course a few drinks. Food was great and generous serves, the buffet breakfast set us up perfectly for a day on the green. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful, we've never had such consistently good service before.

Huntsman on the balcony, not the properties fault and staff quickly dealt with it. However there was webs around the balcony, screen door and under the table that need a brush away. That may just be me, I don't do well with spiders. And it's a very small issue that didn't detract from our stay.

The location was good... we had a birthday function to attend nearby, so it was convenient. The room was clean & spacious enough for 2 people. No balcony unfortunately. Glad there was a fan in room as i cannot sleep with A/c on. Glad there was breakfast avail on site. We did try the evening meal on 2nd night. Everyone seemed ok with what they ordered. Golf game was played on 2nd day and was good, apparently.

The cooked bfast was overpriced. The buffet bfast was average, but ok. One of the evening meals ordered was 'chicken breast' but it certainly wasnt breast.... was the leg part, chkn maryland, & no reason given as to why! So a bit disappointing there. I think bfast should be included with stay as its an expensive night to just sleep & use a bathroom.

Location was lovely and what we expected. Didn't have breakfast there.

We received a message to confirm our 1.00pm check in. When we arrived they knew nothing of the confirmation and check in was at 3.00pm. We were told booking.com gave us the wrong information through a 3rd party. Instead of having to wait 2 hrs hours for our room to be ready, McCracken offered us an upgrade at no extra cost because of the inconvenience. We had a wonderful time, reception and restaurant staff were great. Would go back again.

The service was very friendly and helpful. Our instructions on Booking.com requesting additional pillows due to a disability had been ignored but was quickly fixed when I asked. The resort has stunning views and a lovely pond with ducks outside. The rooms were very nice with comfortable beds. There was a spa bath and a good shower with large shower head. Breakfast was really good and set us up well for the day. There was a stunning view out the window there as we ate. Lots of carparks, although a bit of an incline to get your bag up but you can drive up closer to load your bags. Not in walking distance to anything but in very short driving distance to everything you would want to see in the area.

As mentioned, they had ignored our request for extra pillows. Also there was a twin bed in there but it hadn't been made up so we had to ask for that to be done. We had booked the room for the fact that there were two beds in there so we expected them to both be made up.

Everything was comfortable, more than adequate and clean. The atmosphere was very relaxing and quiet. Sunset was spectacular from our balcony over the golf course towards the ocean. The restaurant and atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and comfortable not uppity or too fancy which you can find at other country clubs.

There were a few cobwebs on the balcony of our room with active spiders, and cobwebs on the tables at outside patio of restaurant. This was literally the only issue with the entire stay and experience and did not affect my ratings.

The Country Club is situated in a pleasant and peaceful location; however, it is not close to the Victor Harbor town centre. There is a Coles supermarket within walking distance. We were greeted cheerfully upon arrival for our one-night stay. Our room overlooked the golf course and was well presented and clean. We made use of the onsite restaurant for an enjoyable dinner. There is a microwave in the room also. Parking is available near the room but we were disappointed with the wi-fi signal.

It’s a beautiful location and we loved sitting on the patio watching the birds. The beds were comfortable.

The swimming pool isn’t really big enough to have a proper swim in. More suited for Kids splashing around. The hot tub looked like it wouldn’t fit more than 4 people in, so we never bothered using either. The jacuzzi bath in our room wasn’t that great either. The jets are so high they miss all the achy bits. Also the breakfast was a bit rubbish. They can’t even make a pot of real coffee. They just give you the same instant coffee that’s in your room. Being vegetarian I found it all bland and boring. I ended up eating cereal. Also as someone who tries to reduce the amount of plastic I use - I was shocked to see that they use all individual packets of cereal. It must be more expensive that way too. So if none of that bothers you, then go for it! It’s a lovely relaxing place.

Room was clean with crispy clean linen, staff were very good and food offered in the dinning area was a little short in the Menu for Non Restaurant style food.(You know the every day food) But the Chicken Schnitty was great !!!

Main Bed was what I would rate Hard as my wife has back issues. BUT after talking to the staff they arranged to place an extra doona underneath the bottom sheet which made the bed a bit softer. Perhaps they should stock a couple of mattress toppers in case other people have the same issues as we did. We all know if the bed is uncomfortable its not easy to get a good nights rest after a big day out.

everything very comfortable , and relaxing . nice views and everything in room was as it should be . was really happy they didn t take a deposit from card as some do .

our proom had a practice putting area just below and felt that we couldnt enjoy the balcony as twenty or so golfers were right in front of balcony . also room doesn t have wine glasses in cupboard and we have to ask for them . also pool is always full of children , which is great they are enjoying it but they stay in long time .which is hard to make any changes to that but, you asked for negatives .

Location and outlook

Breakfast we opted for continental, selections of breakfast area was tucked into a small corner. Continental option serves no croissants? What's that about. Pool very cold, nowhere to get towels when you go at 7am . Asked for room to be cleaned everyday. There was rubbish left down on the floor by the toilet until we checked out. Lack of amenities left. Coffee mug was left on the side not cleaned the first morning we cleaned it when we got back in the afternoon. Nobody offered help with the bags when we arrived or departed. Stayed before, was better last visit.
