A perfectly lovely older motel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. They called us when we were on our way to check if we needed anything extra in the room, put the heater on so it was toasty warm for when we arrived and couldn't have been friendlier. Would 100% recommend and stay again

My only (very small) criticism is there was a master switch for a power point next to the bed that we didn't know about for the first hour, but we figured it out and all was well. If you are staying in room 12 and the tv doesn't seem to work there is a switch on the side of the bed, closest to the door

Friendly greeting by the staff who were helpful in providing information for our stay. We stayed in room 7. Great room. An incredibly spacious living area and a huge bathroom that would be one of the cleanest i have stayed in. It was immaculately clean. The bed was really comfortable with quality sheets and comfortable pillows. The Reverse cycle a/c was effective at keeping the room warm. Well equipped with toaster, kettle and microwave, but it is the table and chairs that made the room. Often missing in similar accommodation it was great to have the option of eating a meal at the table. Equally welcomed was the couch which enabled tv watching without sitting on the bed. Look past the 80’s pink colour scheme and the corner spa (not working) and you will find a great shower - hot and powerful and a good sized cubicle. Wall mounted hair dryer did the job. Shampoo/conditioner/soap provided in environmentally friendly dispensers rather than little bottles. Make up friendly face washer available too. Location of the room was good and quiet. Great location close to shops and to Bendigo CBD.

Nothing i didnt like, but what one improvement would be to beautify the view outside the window.

The owners, Phillip and Jennifer are so friendly and welcoming. Despite being on the main road it was very quiet. Bed comfortable and great pillows. Had a couch in the room. “Real” toilet paper not thin and flimsy. Great hot water pressure and huge shower and bathroom. The room itself has plenty of space. Perhaps hot choc sachets could be avail not just tea and coffee. Plenty of power points and a smart tv

The room had a spa bath that wasn’t able to be used. Only 1 large plate and cutlery set. I was on my own so wasn’t a problem but could be for a couple.

Cannot rate this motel highly enough. Super friendly welcome from Jennifer. So lovely and offered many suggestions for sight seeing and dining. Rooms were large and extremely clean. Heater was turned on in room when we arrived which made for a quick warm up from the outside cold. Great price for the nights accomodation. Really felt like we were being welcomed into someone’s home. Thank you for making our trip enjoyable!

While an older style of motel courtesy the internal brick walls, there is an upgrade of furnishings and the rooms were immaculately clean, Only ordered the one breakfast but given $2 off.

Big notice requesting guests not to reverse park, thus exposing exhausts to rooms. But routinely ignored as most guest had large 4WDs. Foxtel would have been nice, but not a big deal for $150 a night was excellent value.

I was expecting that the Hotel would be of questionable standard but was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the room and facilities. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was quiet and away from the hustle of the road outside. I did see that the hotel had a charger for Teslas and maybe other options could be looked at.

Right from the start the lady at the front desk was very accommodating and very welcoming.Room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable.The motel is right on the main street and close to all food stores and take away.Traffic noise wasn't an issue.My room was nice and warm due to the lady already prepared my room for my arrival I thought that was a lovely thought as a guest.Will definitely be back again to stay at this lovely motel.Thanks :)

I travel up to four times a year and this was the most comfortable bed I have ever had. The pillow was very good too. The sofa in the room wasn't too low and was also very comfortable. The heater worked well. Car charging (type 2 plug with long cable) right outside my room. (Fast charging). Excellent strong hot shower. Table and chairs. Bedside tables. A bit noisy in the day time but I didn't hear a thing at night where it mattered. All units on ground level. Ample parking. Loved how the milk is given to you in small bottles. Compared to other motels and hotels I have stayed in this year, this was luxury.

I didn't like that Sunday breakfast wasn't served until 8am. We had to leave at 7.30am. It would've been nice just to let us get some bread and spreads for toast and small cereal if there was no hot breakfast. No shower cap (but supermarkets near by). There was a mini snack bar (no alcohol) but the nuts and choc bars were not in the room when we checked in. (They were listed on a piece of paper as were the soft drinks and water). We bring our own snacks and drinks anyway.

We were delighted with our stay. Jennifer was very welcoming and helpful. The facilities were clean, spacious and well set up with fridge, microwave, toaster etc all available if you wanted to self-cater. The breakfast, although simple, was a great bargain for the price. Jennifer had arranged for adjacent rooms for my elderly companion and me, and went to the trouble of ringing me prior to our arrival to check whether my friend needed a shower chair and so on. Room was amazingly quiet.

The only aspect that needs updating in Room 11 would be new carpet.

The lady who runs the place, Jen, was delightful and had very thoughtfully pre-warmed my room for my arrival. She said I was welcome to leave the heating on whilst I was out in the evening, as I was there in mid-winter. The room was meticulously clean and parking was right outside the door. Also, there was fresh (not long-life) milk in the fridge for tea and coffee. The decor was slightly dated but perfectly adequate, and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was a spa bath in the bathroom which was not available for use. (I wasn't looking to use it anyway). I was only there for one night.
