It was a cold day and night in Bendigo but I was snug in Room 3 which is on the ground floor. I hate being overly hot but the heating was perfect for me. Plus there was a door dog to block out any draughts coming through the main door. Bed was comfortable. I did wonder how noisy it would get in warmer months with the tables and chairs outside the room. I've had lunch at Wine Bank on a previous visit to Bendigo so I knew food was good and thoroughly enjoyed Mexican dinner this time.

I found the water in the shower didn't stay hot for long. It was very hot when I turned on the shower, added the cold which overpowered the hot water, turned the cold water down and got the right temperature and then the water didn't stay warm. I ended up having a quick shower.

The room was suitable for a short stay. The location was close to the Gardens, the Art Gallery and the Golden Dragon Museum. It was in handy walking distance to a few Restaurants. The street front is a Wine Bar with a HUGE selection of wines ranging from $30 to $1,400 a bottle. The restaurant had an open fireplace which added a colonial atmosphere. The hot mulled wine was a treat at $14 a glass.

There were a number of annoying but minor issues: - the TV was on the wall at the side of the bed which meant a cricked neck when trying to relax and watch it; - our room was on the ground floor next to the stairway to the upper floor rooms - when guests in those upper floor rooms came and went it was very noisy with footsteps on the wooden stairs steps and banging of room doors. - the premises had 6 rooms but only 5 car spaces so there a potential lottery to secure a space - street parking was metered. - the bathroom was very modern but very compact with little room to move.

We love staying here, we are regular guests here. Comfy beds. High ceilings and clean rooms. Also appreciated having an extra mattress for one night for our grandson. Great location to walk around Bendigo. Top price.

The winter was particularly cold and we needed the heater on all night. We asked for an extra blanket/doona which we got, and I think all rooms need a decent winter blanket for the winter if needed. Just a suggestion.

The location is great. Not right next to the main street but close enough to the city center. The room was good sized with a nice modern bathroom/toilet. The bed was comfortable and the Aircon kept the room cozy during a pretty cold night. The kitchen was equipped with enough appliances, cutlery etc. for our needs. The contact number on the gate and the friendly person on the phone was a great help to us.

Although stated we were disappointed that Sundays the bar and restaurant is not open. The bathroom sink must be close to blocked as it took a very long time to empty. The bathroom door knob was loose and the shaft was the wrong length. Even though there was a small kitchen we were disappointed that there was no table and chairs to dine at

Comfy bed. Wine Bank staff were excellent. And gave us some ice. Separate washing up area for dishes. Parked car at 1:30 pm in car park, and we were lucky to meet the owner who allowed us to check in ahead of 2pm check in time.

Toilet space is a bit squishy. Parking is only for 5 cars, but there are 6 rooms. I'm not sure where you'd park if you don't get there early. It was a bit confusing as to how to check in, but once we realised Wine Bank and Allawah are owned by the same people, it made sense.

The balcony room #4 was semi quiet. When I book a room this is generally my number one priority. Not only was the kitchenette supplied with all cooking utensils etc, it also had salt and pepper, as well as dishwashing soap, sponges and tea towels, which are all often overlooked, so I appreciated that touch. The bed was immaculately made and somewhat comfy (erring on the hard side). For two nights, in the fabulous location it is set in, I will definitely be booking Allawah Bendigo again in the future. PS, the Wine Bank has wine tasting nights on Wednesdays (I arrived on a Thursday, but this is something interesting of note).

All of the stairs to get to the balcony rooms, especially the last four with no hand rail. The pillows were too soft - no support at all. Other guests on the Friday night were quite loud. I'd like a lamp on both bedside tables. The wifi was not discoverable which wasn't a problem for me as I have a great plan with Amaysim so I did not mention it to staff. The bathroom sink is ridiculous. The faucet hangs well into the basin so it gets in the way of everything and was extremely annoying. The room gets stuffy - couldn't see any windows to crack open, but that could have just been me.

The room was small but spotless, and had everything we needed. The location was fantastic, being right in the CBD, within a minutes walk to the beautiful Bendigo gallery and wonderful cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. The price was also very reasonable. The room and bed were cosy and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would absolutely recommend it to family and friends.

Some block-out blinds/curtains would be handy, as quite a bit of light gets into the room in the morning.

Great location close to Bendigo art gallery and Central Bendigo including view street shops and restaurants. No need to drive after check in. Kitchenette was well stocked with crockery culinary tea coffee etc.

The accomodation was cosy and perfectly fine for a one night stay, however a second chair and small bench/table would have been a good inclusion for a longer stay. Bathroom and kitchenette were a little tight for two people.

Location was great for walking around Bendigo. The room was easy to access, the bed very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. It was great value for money and we will be back again to stay.

It was an older building so soundproofing from other rooms was not great but as you would expect. The bathroom was small but not a big issue for us and more than adequate. Limited parking - 5 spaces for 6 rooms - but we were made aware of this when we checked in.

Location is in the very centre. Vibrant atmosphere, beautiful city, cafes, the Art Centre and other things are around. The hotel building gives the same vibe as the city itself: beauty of traditional architecture and at the same time, fresh renovation and impeccable cleanness inside the rooms. There's a large wine cellar at the front desk. (Maybe, next time I'll have time to taste it!)
