It’s proximity to the city. Lovely to be able to walk everywhere we wanted to go It was clean and the bed was comfortable Jack at reception was very welcoming and helpful. He recommended a great restaurant for dinner

We booked a deluxe queen room and were shocked when it turned out to be nothing at all like the photos displayed on this site. It was a very stark, cold looking room with brown bed cover, couch and blinds, all very drab. It’s a large room but had nothing warm or inviting about it, we were glad we only stayed one night. I checked with reception just in case a mistake had been made but was assured that this was indeed a deluxe room! The manager needs to know that photos of Deluxe Queen need to be updated as there is such a remarkable difference between what you book and what you actually get! If I had seen photos of what it’s really like I would have just booked the standard Queen room instead……

Great location, very clean room and comfy, if a bit soft, bed. I appreciated the packets of biscuits to snack on. The motel is a short walking distance to multiple cafes and restaurants.

I stayed here last year in the standard queen room and it was great. This year, I decided to upgrade to the more expensive queen room but I was quite disappointed. Last year, I had a couch and a proper kitchen sink. The more expensive room has neither of these. Also, watch out for the water pressure in the shower! It ran hot and cold, at one point, very hot. This would not be good if you had a child in there.

My husband and I stayed here for five nignts in the Spa suite, room #2. It was lovley and clean. The customer service was excellent. The beds wer the mosr comfortable firm bed I have slept on in a very long time. It was a great place to stay and great location.

The only small complaint was the car parking, the room didnt have their own designated car parking spaces and it was a case of first in first serve for one. There was one of the nights that we were there and the car park was full so we had to park a block way from the hotel.

Great location with views to the Cathedral from the nearby park. The room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and well set out. The reception staff were very helpful, welcoming and had interesting insights into Bendigo - also assisting me to load my luggage into my Uber on departure. I really appreciated that not too many cars were in the carpark facing the rooms. Next time I would stay in a room that has a direct view of the Cathedral. Good to have kitchen facilities and complimentary use of washing machines too.

I did arrive with heavy luggage, so good to consider that there could be stairs to navigate and it's quite a long way from the reception to the standard rooms - if you're one of the rare people who don't drive! I did discuss the intermittent wifi access in Room 27 with the manager, was given helpful guidance, and would choose another room next time.

Fantastic, clean motel with a good family friendly atmosphere with plenty of parking! Was greeted with a wonderful, friendly receptionist and the wonderful hospitality continued with manager Jack who was able to assist and rectify a bathroom issue immediately. Housekeeping staff were exceptional, could not fault the cleanliness of our family room including the mini kitchenette facilities. Bathroom was free from mould and mildew and was amazingly clean - a rarity in many hotels/motels! Also used the included laundry facilities which was needed for a 5 night stay. Aside from the motel cleanliness, this motel is in a fantastic location with walking distance to the breathtaking Cathedral, and the centre of High Street only a few minutes away. Very close proximity to amenities such as Coles and Woolworths, Shopping mall, petrol stations and dining. Motel was also really quiet and although we stayed over the new year period, the motel guests/rooms were soundproof and was very quiet! Can only hear a bit of road noise which did not bother us at all.

There isn’t much to fault about this property! Only downsides we experienced were our family room was located at room 24 and had two outdoor bunker lights on each side of the window which let a lot of light in at night around the kitchen blind and the main bed was a queen not a king - we slept seperate during our stay to ensure comfort as Queen size was a bit squishy for the two of us.

Cathedral Motor Inn is a larger complex than expected - has three sets of upper and ground level units. So, if mobility is an issue need to advise at booking that stairs are a problem. Lots of resident parking and next to a small park that overlooks the Cathedral. My rooms - I stayed twice during my trip to Bendigo, were spacious, clean and had all the essentials. Bed and bedding were great, plus had electric blanket if needed. Aircon, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery. Microwave, small fridge, ironing board, hairdryer, and toiletries. The location is great for accessing dining options - Beechworth bakery within 5mins walking - open from 7.30am every day - although I learned from taxi driver that Gilles pies are the local brand. Walking distance to restaurants like Malayan Orchid, Oya's for Turkish, Borchelli for Italian. Lots of other options to explore. Information centre within easy walking distance. Located on a main road, but very quiet in room 9 and 25. Depending on how much luggage you have, buses run from Railway station, and Vline coach drop-off, otherwise taxi takes around 5-7 mins. Staff at reception were friendly and efficient. Held my luggage after checkout and offered umbrella when it rained. Thank you.

It was a busy public holiday weekend so understandably options for late checkout were very limited. Awkward if your pickup for an event is mid afternoon.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Cathedral Motor Inn. Connor and Jack are very helpful and well-informed about Bendigo. My room was spacious, clean, well thought out and a pleasure to be in. The location is excellent, especially for the galleries and cafes on View St. No noise from neighbours, great shower and good warmth from the heat pump. Good quality cups/saucers and a chopping board and sharp knife which are rare in motels.

I do prefer the warmth of a doona to acrylic blankets and it would be great if there were some single rooms as well as doubles.

The staff were incredibly friendly! Top notch customer service! It is a very laid back and quiet vibe there. The rooms were clean and fresh & the bathrooms updated. The only issue we ran into was there was not enough parking and had to park elsewhere when we came back in the evening. I do suspect that it was due to a basketball tournament + school holidays and there were many rooms that had multiple cars per room. (I do not believe that this would be an issue normally as there was loads of parking spaces) Overall, I would stay there again if I was to go to Bendigo again.

Was greeted by a Very Friendly Helpful Staff Member on arrival Room was Very Spacious and Clean Bed was Very Comfortable with Crisp Clean Linen Electric Blanket was Terrific Room was Serviced Daily which was a Lovely Surprise and not expected but really appreciated Spa bath was Great 😊 Walking distance into the Main Centre

Only Complaint was the Loud Constant Traffic Noise Double Glazed Windows and or Noise Barriers would be a Huge Benefit and definitely enhance an otherwise great experience
