The room was easy to access. We were provided with a key code to get in which worked perfectly. The room was lovely and clean and quite spacious. Comfy bed and nice clean bathroom.

There was only one thing i thought was disappointing so don’t forget to get your breakfast request in by 5pm each night because they don’t do last minute requests in the morning which I thought was a little inflexible considering some people don’t get in to the hotel until after 5. This is what we saw when we went to go for breakfast the next morning and there were no other people there except us so im not sure why they couldn’t cater for 2 more people. They didn’t even give them a chance to see what they wanted and it may have only been a piece of toast and a cup of coffee, So they may have been able to do it but they were so strict about it. If that hadn’t happened i would have given a better review because everything else was great.

The location was good. At the time we stayed all restaurants around the location closed it was quite strange considering it was between Christmas and New Year but most one leave until up to 7 January so required a short walk down the hill. Location wise the hotel is uphill. Which can be walked either through the park or directly up view Street the tram stop is located directly at the bottom of view Street near the fountain so easy Access to the tram.

The first nine I was extremely hot because the electric blanket was on. We were talking in the middle of an Australian summer pillows are a little uncomfortable a bit too large or too small but that’s probably a personal preference.

Great location, lots of nice cafes and restaurants and Bendigo city a walkable distance. Stayed in upstairs room. Bed is comfortable and liked the quiet rooms. Keypad access to room, no need to worry about keys or cards. Can request microwave for the room. Complimentary laundry (need ask reception for powder) the gym and sauna were nice to use. Shampoo conditioner soap all provided. Housekeeping daily on request.

a few occasions the room code wouldn’t work, needed to ring a number but they were able to reset it quickly and remotely. When new batteries put in, the code was working again.

Our executive twin room was quite small but otherwise nothing to complain about. Very clean, comfortable beds, shower pressure was fine (another review said it wasn't good in an upstairs room but we didn't experience any issues). We also ordered a cooked breakfast into the room one morning and it was simple but very decent, so convenient! A good place to stay for a couple of nights in lovely Bendigo, we wouldn't hesitate to return. Unrelated to the accommodation, but one of the highlights of this trip was the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, a Buddhist shrine only 15 min drive from Bendigo. Such a lovely serene place, really worth a visit.

This was my second stay at Barclay on View and it was fine. The keyless entry to the room meant the getaway next morning was quick and uncomplicated. The room was tastefully appointed and very adequate for an overnight stop. It's in a quieter part of town but within walking distance of a very good Malaysian restaurant, the Art Gallery (which has excellent exhibitions) and the major shopping area and tourist tram.

The sticks of Nescafe coffee and horrible complimentary biscuits. In the days of drip coffee bags and other nicer biscuit options they could do a bit better.

Excellent location. Room was very quiet. Heard someone leave at 5am but then silence reigned again and we slept through until 8.... not normal for this family!

Lack of human contact re checkin. We had a large suitcase and would have preferred to have a ground floor room. No one on reception meant dealing with staff over the phone - put it in the too hard basket. On-line breakfast ordering - yeah, so we should all be able to do this, but it was a pain - particularly trying to change the order.

Location - perfect location for exploring the area, including the Wine Bank (wine Bar) - fabulous, plus bonus of a wine tasting on Wednesdays, and a very good restaurant. Very easy walk down to the Theatre, Art Gallery not forgetting The Rifle Hotel, excellent venue. Plus an easy drive up to Rochester to see the painted silos, worth the trip.

The cold water tap (constant drip/ needs new washer), and exhaust fan in the bathroom (room#26). The fan sounds like a 747 coming into land!!

Loved the location. Easy to walk to local cafes and into town and some sites. A short drive to other places. We loved the keypad entry lock on the door and the Do not disturb sliding sign on the door. There were plenty of facilities in the room.

While I liked the room and bathroom it would make the stay even better if the decor was a bit more modern. USB ports in the room would be useful too.

Excellent central location, able to easily walk to restaurants, park, cathedral, shops and gallery. This was the main reason for choosing this hotel. Our twin room was cosy and warm. Although we did not see any staff, the communication via email was excellent and the check in/out process simple and convenient.

The bathroom is dated and could also use some heating.

Our standard Queen room whilst compact was very comfortable with excellent heating. It had everything we needed. My husband loved the sauna room& mini gym. Great location for walking to the Art Gallery ,Gardens &Pall Mall.

The shower recess that wasn't level (it had a big dip in the middle) Not good if someone has poor balance. Ok if you are aware of it. The lighting in the lounge room was a bit dark for reading otherwise no real issues.
