We upgraded to a superior apartment on arrival as we were staying for a month and the extra space fitted our needs better with a study so we could work while away. The view was also better, overlooking the park, than the standard apartments. The swimming pool and leisure facilities on the roof were excellent. The location is very good, the shopping center and restaurants are a short walk away, there is also the RSL club next door which you can sign into as a visitor and grab a very good meal or just a drink in lovely surroundings. However what we liked most about our stay was all the staff, they were so friendly, professional and helpful in every way. I will certainly be returning when we visit our relatives again.

Excellent stay in Box Hill. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the little apartment was nicely equipped, very comfortable and pleasantly quiet in terms of sleeping. The gym, although small, is equipped with all the basics you need and had a lovely view away to the mountains, and the rooftop pool and jacuzzi were a pleasant temperature. It is very close to a tram stop and station for travel to the CBD, the nearby shopping centre has two supermarkets and a wealth of (mostly Asian) food choices, and there’s a little park almost next door. Overall, highly recommended.

Friendly and helpful staff everyone we talked to in the team, from the reception staff, the custodians were really helpful and friendly with such a positive helpful vibe. Travelled with my 93 year old father super good access for him, parking, cafe next door, RSL with great food also next door as well as so many other international restaurant options, supermarket and next to transport tram, train bus if needing public transport.

Not that I did not like it as I understood, but wish I'd know ahead about the grocery packages and to order ahead as such good value and would have been so convenient. We walked to the nearby supermarket and purchased the same items which cost us more... Proving what a great idea 👍 so I would highly recommend it to others .... Check them out and preorder.

Absolutely LOVED the service provided by the staff in the reception area of this property.

The property wasn't the most clean property with lots of things missed and feeling a bit meh! The housekeeping claimed they didn't come due to a sign on the door. However, this wasn't the case. The staff gave a $5 cafe card for each day they missed. However, i wanted and paid for a regularly clean space. The hotel staff always assisted if i needed new amenities that weren't updated due to them not coming. I do suggest they consider deep cleans of their bathroom areas, carpets, balcony flooring & balcony windows though as all of them in a number of rooms I visited were quite average. (Had lots of friends staying) I also didn't like the pool area closing at 9pm, I feel that for summer, it should be 10 pm

Very friendly and personable staff. The bed and study were very good, and the bathroom is also great. Loved the amenities including large fridge. I liked the view very much. The pool, sauna and other amenities were all very clean and were a joy to use. There are staff on the ground floor letting you in even late at night, so that's good. The only thing I can fault was that my room could have done with a more thorough vacuum and a clean, I found a few tiny pieces of rubbish on the ground when I first got there, and some dust, nothing major. The water taps are also very forceful and splashes water everywhere. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

The location was perfect as I was an ongoing country patient at Box Hill Hospital for 6 months . Every few weeks I had short stays away from the hospital and needed to be close by, could not get any closer. The staff were fabulous, so friendly and went above and beyond when I was there with my family. My family loved the pool, spa and the gym. The room was nice and bright, nice sunny balcony, good cooking facilities , very clean and the bed was so, so comfortable as was the pillows. Thank you to the staff at Avani for making me feel very much at home when I was so far way from home, over 5 hours.

The view from the balcony was amazing, the room was very clean and comfortable. It seems like a lot of thought went into the design of the hotel, the room layout is great, the rooms are very insulated/soundproof and there is everything you could need including washing machine, dryer and oven in the two bedroom suite. Front counter staff were really friendly and helpful.

The only thing I think could be slightly improved if I had to pick something would be the signage to the front entrance/check in counter from the street. Other than that I can't fault anything

We had a Melbourne city view from our balcony so could watch the hot air balloons floating over Melbourne city. The rooftop pool and spa were the best way to end a busy day. So many delicious foods within walking distance of the apartment. It’s also very close to Box Hill Hospital if you needed to stay close by. Staff were great to deal with. Aircon/heating unit worked great. Having a kitchenette and washing machine for a week was essential and the apartments ticked all those boxes.

I don’t have any negatives that spring to mind.

The location is ideal, out of the city but central enough to get to lots of destinations easily. The apartment has everything needed and was clean and comfortable.

The parking, to pay $18 a day on top of the room rate. The street parking is only for 2hrs and not cheap either. I had booked our room with cleaning and was asked if I wanted to not have it cleaned for a $5 voucher that could be redeemed at a local cafe.. I was silly and said yes, then realised that the cafe was not close and I didn't really need to use the cafe! So think about that before not accepting the cleaning.

A beautiful apartment with great views. Clean, spacious and super comfortable beds . A little home away from home. Great attentive staff. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

The heating system was very difficult to understand how to adjust. In the middle of the night it was extremely hot- room was at 32 degrees as previous visitors had set it , I wasn’t able to change it! Next morning I had a staff member come and reset it. Perhaps there should be some instructions handy on the wall in future?
