THE BASIC DAILY BREAKFAST WAS ADEQUATE. MAY I SUGGEST THE ADDITION OF MEUSLI TO THE CEREAL OPTIONS . THE DINING AREA WAS CLEAN AND AIRY AND PLEASANT TO USE - THE OUTSIDE OPTION WAS EXCELLENT. MY ROOM WAS VERY LARGE WITH A MARVELLOUS KING SIZED BED WHICH I DID NOT EXPECT, SPLENDIDLY COMFORTABLE, AND WELL FURNISHED AND DECORATED.

THE TEA MAKING FACILITIES WERE FINE BUT I WOULD HAVE APPRECIATED MORE THAN ONE SMALL CONTAINER OF MILK PLUS A COUPLE OF BISCUITS TO ACCOMPANY. THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AS WAS THE BATHROOM WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE OVERHEAD SHOWER FAN WHICH HAS ESCAPED CLEANING FOR SOME TIME

We liked the fact that the hotel doesn't look like a hotel chain. It's gracious and the rooms are charming. We were upgraded and loved our room. The breakfast, although not fabulous, was more than adequate. It was included in our room price but if not, it's still value for money. The location was good for us. Even though the hotel is on the corner of two very busy roads, the soundproofing is excellent and we heard no traffic noise. There are a couple of little restaurants across the road, which is convenient. All in all we had an excellent stay.

We enjoy the cooked breakfast it is always the same, sausages tomatoes scrambled eggs and sauteed mushrooms. We ask for tomato sauce every time. It is not on every day. Sat yes Sunday no. There was only toast and cereal. The butter ran out, so did the gluten free bread. there were only 3 crusts left. Coffee could be better. We love the hotel, but it is not operating at capacity, the restaurant is not open. Don't think the bar is either unless they have a function. The pool is closed too. I love the restaurant bar and breakfast area it leads to a lovely patio. There are quality furnishings too. But they are running on low staff. Some fruit and Yogurt on the days there is no cooked breakfast would be good. And a cappuccino machine !

No milk in the fridge, no toilet paper in the bathroom. Bathroom light is bright and turns on with a fan. We moved the desk lamp in there. We self cater a bit, Had uber eats,for dinner. I usually take stuff too. We go at least twice a month as our family is in Melbourne. We try and keep our costs down. I have had some good deals there. We got a great deal at the Elizabethan for our next visit, unbeatable really, Will let you know.

I have stayed here a few times before to be closer to a industry workshop I attend bi-annually. I appreciated the upgrade to an exec room. The rooms are always well presented, clean and smell fresh. Linen/towels are amazing. I love the location - a short stroll to Forest Hill Chase. Ample parking on site.

Breakfast is from 7-9am. I missed out on hot items for breakfast on Saturday morning despite arriving at 7.15am as it hadn't been placed out as yet. There was cereals and bread available, so I was able to grab something to eat before needing to head out before 7.45am.

Beds so comfy, it had a gym and a pool. It was quiet and presentation in reception and communal areas were impressive. Staff were pleasant but not overly friendly. We did really enjoy our stay just a few thing could have made it better.

Our shower needs to be regrouted, staff could have been more happy and upbeat. Rooms when made up weren't restocked with soap, we had no milk for in room coffees. There is no microwave or toaster this would be helpful for families. Pool was cold. Breakfast was just toast or cereal on public holidays, then the cooked breakfast was pretty cold even when we arrived at opening time.

Stayed in the 1 bdrm apartment - fantastic big bed - so comfortable, pillows were soft and supportive and bedding was just right for the chilly nights. Big spacious apartment with kitchen and full size fridge freezer, great AC in living area and bedroom. Shower and fitout was very good. With the Canterbury International Hotel its about ambience, location and great staff. Highly recommended.

Location was excellent close to family. Bed was comfy as were the chairs. Nice big shower and bathroom facilities were good. Don't know if rooms are soundproof but we did not hear any noise from next door at all but could hear people out in the corridor. Breakfast was adequate.

The air conditioner was not working properly, hardly any cool air coming out at all and it was very warm in the room. Had trouble going to sleep as we had to have the aircon up high just to feel anything and it was noisy and old. Had to set the temperature at 16 degrees and it was still not cold air. When we were checking out I told the lady at reception about the problem with the air conditioner so hopefully it will be checked. In the middle of Summer it is not good to have to stay in a warm room in a hotel!

I received a free room upgrade. The price was good. Received a nice room near reception, no stairs, very comfortable free breakfast included. Free parking on site. Close to the family , forest hills , Easy access to everywhere.will book again

I didn't like having to pay 100 bond as i paid on a debit card. I am a level 3 genius in booking. com. I was told I would get it back on checkout, but was then refused. The woman on reception refused to refund it until the room was clean. They won't get me again. There was no booze or chocolate in the room, and well I don't smash things or steal the towels !

Its a lovely building. They do have a lift which was great otherwise a bit of a walk upstairs. Couldn't hear anyone else there. Had a lovely breakfast as part of the deal. Very spacious room and great bed to sleep in.

Maybe a few more options of tea as not everyone loves the regular. And mugs in the dining room for those that love their coffee instead of little cup and saucers. Options of different milks (they would have supplied if asked I'm sure).

Very comfortable, clean and well-appointed room with good facilities and friendly, helpful staff in a convenient location.

Nothing I disliked, except the obvious thing which is that my room's windows looked out on to Springvale Rd which starts attracting busy noisy traffic from 6am, so it woke me slightly earlier than planned. I would request a quieter room facing away from the main road next time if necessary.
