The cottage was cozy and very warm with the woodfire! Our hosts were absolutely lovely, supplying us with extra wood and paper to light up the fire again the last night we were there. We slept so well that night, because the room was kept warm by the woodfire until morning. The bed was super comfy, and the breakfast provisions were generous. The environment was peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the visits from the cute little birds during the mornings and late afternoons sitting outside the kitchen window. We also wanted to note, that this accommodation is not walkable to the shops and driving around is required to most places (my fiancè and I already knew this and were fine with it!) But just in case, we want people to be aware prior to booking if this is a deal breaker for them. We also found that most wineries around the area would only be open until 5pm after searching up where to have dinner (not sure if this is a seasonal thing or due to events.) However, we ended up going to Divino for dinner at Mandala Wines, and that was magnificent- just 5 minutes up the road which ended up being real lucky location wise. Yarra Valley Chocolaterie is very closeby too, worth a visit.
To be completely honest, the one thing we felt uncomfortable with was the shower. You couldn't really adjust the shower head, which standing at only 5'2, was just constantly spraying into my face.

We absolutely loved our stay at Leafield Cottages—it was an absolute delight from start to finish! The cottage itself was incredibly cozy, warm, and welcoming, providing the perfect home away from home during our work trip. Everything was beautifully maintained, and the charming decor added to the relaxing atmosphere. The location was ideal, conveniently close to where our conference was held, making our daily commute effortless. The hosts were wonderful—so friendly, attentive, and accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. They even left us a generous breakfast hamper filled with delicious treats, which was a fantastic touch and made our mornings even more enjoyable. Overall, our experience at Leafield Cottages was exceptional, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and inviting place to stay.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful! Vintage charm and very well maintained. Lots of little personal touches to make our stay so homely. We just adored our stay here and will definitely be back. Location was fab, close to lots of wineries as well. The owners were so lovely and accommodating, letting us check in early too. The lovely lady even provided beautiful fresh bread and produce for breakfast. Thanks again!
Nothing, everything was perfect!

Ron and Jan (the owners) are the most loveliest people and really looked after my partner and I during our 2 night stay. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast supply was very generous, and we were provided with delicious breakfast foods such as bread, eggs, bacon, hot cross buns, croissants, tomatoes, milk, condiments, etc. Easter bunny had even left a few treats on the coffee table. What a truly beautiful country stay in the heart of the Yarra Valley in Dixon's Creek. The cottage was very cute with lovely interior and felt very homely and cosy and had everything we needed, and not to mention, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. We look forward to staying here again soon when we visit the Yarra Valley.

The cottage was very cosy & clean. The fridge was stocked most generously for breakfast (bacon&eggs, tomatoes, milk, bread etc - plus lovely croissants & muffins) and ample firewood was provided. The cottage is in the midst of wineries and only a short drive to Yarra Glen. Fantastic value for money! Thank you Jan & Ron! We will be back!😊👍
See many of the cottage garden plants damaged by roaming deer.

Leafield Cottages offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. With rustic charm, providing a cozy and comfortable retreat, surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere. The friendly owner Jan made our stay easy and relaxed providing an amazing breakfast. The location was an ideal choice for a wedding event we attended in a nearby winery of the Yarra Valley. Your flexibility and willingness to accommodate our needs are truly appreciated. We're looking forward to our stay at Leafield Cottages next time.
Only request would be an adjustment to the check-in time from 3pm to 2pm so we could have the opportunity to settle in and have a bit of time to get organised before heading out to the event we attended.

As I asked for breakfast, the fridge was supplied with two croissants, bread, butter, several rashes of bacon, eggs, tomatoes. You had access to a stove, so you cooked it to your own liking. These little cabins would make an awesome little getaway into the area, if you want somewhere comfortable, warm, selfcontained and private.
The GPS didn't lead me straight there, it led to the base of the road which the cottages were on.

Jan was really lovely. She contacted us before we arrived to find out what time we would be there and what we would like for breakfast. She also let us know what we could do if she were not home when we got there. She was easy to contact when we needed to, and we got the chance to chat when we returned from a wedding.
There wasn't anything to dislike about our stay. You know it is an old cottage when you book, but they are well-maintained.

Jan, the owner is the jewel in the beautiful cottages crown! friendly; giving of her time & information about these gorgeous (heritage) cottages (renovated thoughtfully to a high status)& surrounding properties/areas. The breakfast is outstanding for bnb in my experiences. Surrounded by nature, both flowering & fruiting. I forgot my busy-ness in the cbd. I will certainly be revisiting for longer stays. The decor is largely original with the bed made up beautifully Thank you Jan - I really didn’t want to go home!!

A great place to hide away or just to stay and explore the region. The cottage had everything you could need. A generous amount of food in the fridge. Tea, coffee, and cookies. Lovely hot water. The bed was great. We would have loved to stay longer. How hostess was very friendly.
Nothing not to like if you are not expecting fancy fancy.
