Clean comfortable unit with everything you would expect in terms of facilities. We loved the central lake which was visible from inside the unit with a constant parade of wildlife such as friendly fairywrens, herons eating yabbies, black cockatoos and redrumped parrots. Lots of kangaroos at dusk and the kid loved feeding the farm animals each morning. Kid enjoyed the pool also (there were a lot of bugs in it, but that's inevitable in a healthy ecosystem).

I had a friend come and stay one night and there was a bit of tension when the staff insisted that she should rent her own cabin even though there was room in our unit - but they relented eventually so that was fine in the end.

It was a beautiful, well built and well equipped cabin/apartment. We had everything we needed and it felt like a bit of luxury despite the great price. Lots of family activities on offer and the games room had a big selection of DVDs you could borrow and use in the unit. Run by a very friendly family. Really nice surroundings, close to Halls Gap where there was a well stocked grocery store, some places to eat/get coffee etc, really helpful guy at the info point, and some beautiful hikes. I love hiking in the winter as it's fresh and you don't get as sweaty, also fewer people on the trails. Loads of free parking in Halls Gap so it wasn't a problem being a few minutes drive away. We also visited some incredibly good value local open cellars.

The property is surrounded by nature. The kangaroos roam freely, peacock, birds, insects, frogs, etc can be heard throughout the day. The cabin is so nicely decorated, extremely clean and neat. The owner, Chris, is so thoughtful. She turned on the lights and heater because we will be arriving late at night. She even told us to park the car in front of the door so that we could quickly settle in and rest even though the lots are situated at the back of the units. Electric blankets was another thoughtful gesture of Chris. I’m truly thankful for that in a cold weather. There is feeding of farm animals in the morning which I sadly missed. Chris would shared with us the places to visit at Grampians and guided us from the map. Really thankful for her kindness and thoughtfulness.

The units were comfortable, sound proof walls, beautiful grounds with pond and fountain. Daily feeding of farm animals on property. There is a mob of kangaroos and pretty faced wallabies that surround the units and property in the evenings. They have numerous ducks that enjoy their pond. There is a resident peacock that is very curious of guests. The location is very convenient to Halls gap, however not right in the middle of all the activity and people. The views and quietness of the property is excellent. I would stay here again and recommend to other travelers.

The only thing that would have made this stay better is if they did not allow smoking anywhere on the property. The last night we stayed, the people next door were smoking on their porch and the smoke polluted the outdoor view and poured into our windows and unit. We had to close up all the windows to keep out their smoke. It was very disappointing to be unable to enjoy the space due to smokers polluting it with their habit.

This place was purely magical! The whole property is so beautiful and there are animals and kangaroos all around. This means you can sit outside at night watch the stars, drink a beer, and will occasionally see a kangaroo hopping by. In addition, there are a lot of amazing facilities, such as a tennis court an amazing outdoor kitchen, and a bonfire area. The apartment itself was also amazing - very clean, smelled very nice and the beds were super comfortable. I would stay here again any time!

I did not meet Chris our host but she was so lovely helpful and friendly over the phone. I already knew that we were going to be very happy with our accomodation. The units were lovely. Exceptionally clean and with all the amenities that you could possibly need. The surrounding property was just beautiful. So scenic and we loved seeing all the animals roaming around. Plenty too for a family with children staying there. I will certainly book in again if we visited The Grampians again in the future. The location of Halls Haven was perfect. Very close to Halls Gap and all the scenic attractions.

We could not fault anything. Our stay was perfect.

Where to start? Our 4 night stay was outstanding. Everything was wonderful. Firstly Chris and her partner were such friendly and helpful hosts. The chalet was well equipped and very comfortable We slept well every night. There is plenty to keep you occupied if you wish to stay on site including a small pool, tennis court, driving range (racquets, clubs and balls provided for these latter 2); bicycles and a games room. In addition there is a barbecue for residents use. The highlight for us however was the nature of the site. The chalets are built around a small lake with seating to relax by. There are hens,ducks, goats, turkeys, llamas and a resident peacock family. You are welcome to help with their morning feed. In the evening kangaroos and emus visit to graze around the site. Lots of birds to be seen too including sacred kingfisher, fairy wrens, musk lorikeets, sulphur crested cockatoos, galas, and flocks of noisy corellas. A nature lovers dream! We would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Absolutely nothing

Heaven like setting..with wonderful wild and domestic animals, including a resident heron, peacock with hen and chicks! We love the photography opportunities of kangaroos, joeys, cockatoo flocks, and landscapes. All indoor and outdoor entertainment you can ask for including fun golf, cycling buggy. Would be ideal for kids! Outdoor communal BBQ well planned and stocked. Credit to the original mastermind of the property development!

There was so much on offer, from the moment that we arrived the service was exceptional. The facilities room was well decked out not to mention the swimming pool, tennis courts, animals, the outdoor entertaining area and i could go on and on. The apartment was comfortable and clean and contained everything that we needed. I have driven past this accommodation many times and not paid it the respect that it deserves. It truly exceeded all expectations. I would stay here again without any hesitation.

Very suitable for families with children. The morning animal feed is fun for kids and many other things available to occupy kids that they don’t wish to head out. We could swim, cycle, play golf, play billiard and board games, or find a favourite corner to read. Very relaxing and love the sound of nature around us. Love the outdoor kitchen which is well-equipped with all the condiments you need for barbecue.

Swimming pool needs to be cleaned up more often.
