The room was very cute and cosy, with beautiful wooden walls and retro-style furniture that gave it an authentic charm. Everything I needed for a comfortable stay was there – a comfy bed, well-equipped room, and a super cute bathroom with exposed bricks. I really enjoyed the classic motel atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

After being somewhat taken aback by the messy state of the reception area, things improved. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and this motel is off the main highway and so is fairly quiet. The owners were friendly and the value for money was excellent. The restaurant was not in operation, but it wasn’t a long walk to the Gift Hotel where we had a good meal.

The accomodation is nice, antique and at a very quiet location as compared to the other motels that are on the western highway and can be very noisy. The bed was comfortable, had electrical blanket, bathroom was clean. Building is well preserved and is a mix of old and new design.

Would be good if they painted all the walls white, however that’s my personal preference.

Only needed a bed so wasn't expensive, and being able to dine there at night was very handy. Meal options were good and we enjoyed our choices both nights.

Rooms are needing a revamp, mattress was quite firm.. We had a ground floor unit and could hear the movement and shower above and just happened to be 5am both mornings. If you plan to bring your own breakfast options, you would need to bring plates/bowl and cutlery as only tea cups provided. No microwave, just kettle and toaster. Breakfast is available to order.

I don’t have high expectations of motels in general but this was one that I’d willingly return to especially for the restaurant, which was great. Run by a father & son, they were super-friendly and eager to ensure we had a good stay, which we did. The rooms (we had two, both on the upper floor) were clean, comfortable, well-equipped and quiet. The shower looked pretty new, had very good pressure and was wonderfully hot. The restaurant menu would be well-regarded in a big city hotel so to find this quality of food in a country motel was exceptional. Dave is both the owner and chef and he can definitely cook! Sometimes flowery descriptions are not matched by the actual food but that was not the case here. We had the prawns, scallops, fillet steak, pork ribs and steak & wine pie and all were delicious. A great mix of traditional and modern coooking. The building is, as it says, heritage, completed in 1868 so it may not appeal to guests who want a more modern setting. For those who like the charm of an old building with modern facilities, you’ll be very happy. We’d go out of our way to return some day.

The restaurant wasn’t open unfortunately and we didn’t know until trying for room service but otherwise it was an amazing stay

Thoroughly enjoyed the food served for 3 nights. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The owner was very cheerful and obliging and nothing was too much trouble.

Did advise owner of noisy air conditioner turning on, which he advised, would check. One of my 3 nights, there was someone in the unit above me, and I could hear him moving around ( he was very heavy footed with boots on)

The room was very spacious and surprisingly well equipped. It has an in yard parking space so you don’t need to park on the street. Very easy check-in and check-out.

Perhaps placing the bookings a bit further away from each other when there’s not that many people staying in the hotel for a night.

Room wasn't ready on arrival at almost 3pm but the staff were great and gave us another room instead. Pillows were a little uncomfortable, but the electric blanket and fluffy blanket were great!

Room met our expectations, it was certainly value for money and it was on ground level which was very appropriate for our age. The best part of this facility is the restaurant, the food was spectacular although pricey, but we certainly get what we paid for. Will stay there again if in that area.
