My stay at Allamar was amazing - utterly beyond my expectations. Everything was clean to the highest standard, especially for a property that is not "brand new". Looked like everything had been thoroughly sanitized, every single surface scrubbed. Everything felt well thought out and all the amenities provided were amazing too. Ultimately the entire experience was fantastic and I will be back! The rooms had both airconditioning and heating (for any environment you would like). Best of all, the rooms were very soundproof, so that as soon as I closed the front door I could hear almost nothing from anything happening around me, from the rooms next door, or even when cars drove past the front door (to park). Zero noise. Amazing.

None. I need more words to fill this section however I could not fault any part of my experience here. The team (Chris and Lizzy) even provide their personal / work mobile numbers and were always available and quick to respond, regardless of the time. I had zero issues across the entire stay.

Looked lovely, All standard provisions provided, new, in excellent condition Room was Spotless, The table & chairs, armchair & reading light nice touch However, power tools blaring in evening & rediculously bright ,outside lights left on all night , preventing the ability to see stars distracted from the serene experience I desired. The room feel back to front: feng shui feels off Dissapointedly windows badly positioned constricting view& thank goodness there was an outdoor swing !

Excellent setup for solo traveller. Easy check-in with friendly staff. Room was cosy and pretty soundproof, with excellent WiFi and kitchenette, and had everything to be self-contained. Everything felt looked after and cared for, and clean. Stunning view from courtyard and couple minutes drive into main town. Outstanding value for money. Exactly as described. Easy contactless key drop-off check-out. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The location is 10/10 with a mountain view through the valley, looks like a painting in the morning when the sunrises over the mistful valley. The room was great, clean and had everything for this price range (though its a bit high due to ski season). The owner is very friendly and helpful, helped us to get the 2 EV chargers running, which is why we chose this place in the first place. Highly recommended.

The power point is limited in the room especially around the bed. The bed comes with electric blanket but the plug isn't connected to any power point and in fact we can't find any power point behind. There was only one cord extension which we can plug in to one side of the electric blanket or table lamp only, not both. The basin tap also needs a service as it jets water out every direction. It would also be nice to have the portable hanging rack in the room.

Lovely small retro style motor inn in a lovely location set back from the main road, with an amazing outlook. Parking at your door, rooms were very clean, comfortable, well maintained with hydronic heating and nice touches like locally hand made soaps. Large shared outdoor open space with bbq facilities and stunning views of Keiwa Valley. Staff were super friendly and passionate about the property, sustainability and delivering value for money without compromising comfort or quality. Great central location for day tripping year round to surrounding towns or snowfields. A quirky wine bar on site to enjoy a drink after your travels. We’ll be back!

My husband and I stayed here before, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. This time, we brought my parents to experience it as well. The place offers great value for money, and I highly recommend visiting Great Alpine Road. The cleanliness isn’t perfect, but we always sleep really well here!

A pleasant stay in a lovely environment with beautiful views. The surroundings were peaceful and scenic, making it a great place to relax and unwind. Perfect spot for a short visit or getaway—would happily return and recommend to friends and family.

Type 2 EV charger on site was an unexpected bonus. Made a huge difference for us. Super friendly and obliging owners.

Lights outside the room were a little annoying (not that bad really) as they were visible through the curtains and on all night. Maybe they could switch to a sensor mode after midnight.

It was spotlessly clean, big bathroom, comfy beds, warm...it was a great stay and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I also loved that it had a very efficient drying room for all our ski gear. It was probably the wettest week we have ever encountered on the slopes and still all the gear was dry come the morning. They have a well stocked bar on site, so you don't have to go anywhere for a nice beverage. The bar/restaurant has a small menu of yummy food that you can tuck into after a day of skiing.
