Well appointed, recently refurbished room. Beds were really comfortable and the rooms were quiet, with a pleasant outlook onto parklands. Basic breakfast packs included. Free off street parking outside the units. Great bistro for lunch through to Dinner. Food was really yummy and very reasonably priced. Overall enjoyed our stay there and would have no hesitation returning again. The staff were really friendly and helpful too.

Shower in the room was a bit tricky to get the temperature right. No breakfast option in the bistro. No dedicated reception area, this is in the Gaming Room, filled with Pokies.

Total package...Funeral across the road, attended wake here too...could park car outside unit...as a former resident of NP.. amazing to see transformation of the 'ole pub"....revisited whole venue...all updated.. bright shiny like a new pin...Service from all staff brilliant as were the meals (& of course the drinks too)

Going to book the next week for 2 more separate bookings...& the fact that prices have MORE THAN DOUBLED......JUST NOT ON.......AWAITING A QUERY.......Received answer...MANAGEMENT AT HOTEL UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT PRICING....NIGHTCAP MGT...REVIEW YOUR PRACTICES..RETURN CLIENTS SHOULD BE RESPECTED, NOT HIT WITH DOUBLE TARIFFS WHICH I REFUSE TO PAY...DISGUSTING.....

Convenient location, great for the car enthusiasts. Woke Sunday to a cute car enthusiast market. Basic, but modern and clean. I liked the car park tucked away out the back in front of our room door and away from sight of the public.

There are not enough car parks for the corner rooms to have their cars close to their room. Also found the back door was left unlocked twice during the stay after cleaners were in. 3rd day, I left a still sleeping sign out, and everything was still locked on our return.

Amazing service. We checked in at 3am on Saturday 13/1/24, after driving from Sydney. We were greeted by Tracey & David. We felt so welcomed & they were very friendly. We saw them again the following day & their service is just phenomenal. The accomodation was very clean, comfy & close to everything. Restaraunt was great too, with great options at a reasonable price. We could not fault our stay here & will definitely be returning back. We normally stay at the Ritz or at Shangri La, however this place was close to where we needed to get to & with the exceptional service of the staff here at Sandown Park Hotel, especially by Tracey & Dave, we would choose here any day over anywhere else. They both deserve a huge pay rise & a promotion.

If only the bistro opened for breakfast

Updated, clean room. Beds were comfortable, shower head was a huge rain type one. Has a back door that opened to a cute little alfresco/courtyard overlooking a large grassed area with gumtrees. Met many very well behaved doggos walking past. It's in a quiet area, can hardly hear the traffic, there is a bistro, sport bar etc all at the same place with great value meals and a 7-11 within two minute walk. Easy to get to with plenty of parking

We could have done with more than one chair. Eating meals was a little difficult having to balance them on your lap. The single bed was very rolly. Sitting on it almost jettisoned you through the door!

Great location, room was very clean, beds were comfortable. Restaurant food was delicious. The kids play area is a plus.

The room we were allocated to was near to the reception and main parking area, and the traffic from vehicles and the many guests who were returning to their rooms during the wee hours from the gaming area woke us up several times. Would be nice to be allocated to a room further away from traffic.

The property is in very good condition and service in every section was very good. Linda was very pleasant and gave prompt and excellent service along with the others who worked at the bistro. The room was really very clean and quite a good size except that the single bed kept rolling as it’s on wheels which made keeping the pillows from falling between the headboard inconvenient

Asked for a late check out and obviously there was lack of communication between hotel staff as the cleaner woke me up and rudely reminded me I should have left 10 mins ago. Baby cockroach in my shower so didn’t use the shower at all. Forgot my shoes, called the hotel phone to organise pick up. The reception/Management staff has always been wonderful however the cleaner guy came out into the pokies area holding my brand new shoes like they had Covid. maybe consider putting gloves on instead of holding them like they are going to bite you and over react in front of others

Room and food were excellent.

$200 bond requested at sign in for room, this wasn't advertised on website. Was assured by staff of a 24hr turn around but after a phone call asking why my $200 hasn't been deposited back, I was told it would take 7 working days for this to happen. Will not be using this hotel again.

Room was great, warm, clean, bathroom was updated. Access to the pub etc. pretty quiet and parking in front of room. Check in and out was easy. Complimentary drink is lovely although I didn’t get the chance to use it :(

But hard to find where to check in being at the gaming desk. I had to be shown where it was. Would be better to have at main entrance
