The wife likes accommodation with history and this building had plenty of that. Duncan and Chris have put in amazing effort to restore their home for immaculate presentation in just three years. The hydraulic heating system kept the air at a lovely temperature. The bathroom was the size of a ballroom with both a claw foot bath and walk-in shower. The owner's pets were very friendly. The TV was in an external building, so no one would be disturbed. The lounge area was very nice for reading.

We were the only guests, but I'm not sure how the bathroom/toilet would work with two couples staying in the main house. There was also a separate cottage with its own bathroom which we had the option to use.

The property is absolutely stunning and very well maintained with everything you could need. The hosts were so lovely, helpful and friendly. The attention to detail and effort is above and beyond, making guests breakfast at a time of their choosong with herbs from their garden and juice squeezed fresh from their orange tree. The hosts give you space but also say hello, have a lovely chat and check in, anticipating your needs. Their pets were lovely also. It was the best stay I've ever had.

I honestly couldn't fault the place or hosts at all.

My stay at Dubuque Bed and Breakfast was exactly what I needed during my solo work trip. The owners were welcoming from the start, and my standalone room with an ensuite was private, quiet, and very comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the B&B's close proximity to town made exploring easy. The peaceful atmosphere and excellent hospitality made it a memorable experience. Highly recommended for both work and leisure stays.

Superbly restored Victorian home. Hosts struck a perfect balance between attentive and unobtrusive. Lovely comfortable sitting room for those quiet moments between family functions. Cooked breakfasts (included) were delicious and served in dining room. Central heating just right for the cold mornings. Beautifully maintained classic Victorian garden - lots of roses - would be an absolute treat when in flower. Off street parking was a bonus. WiFi excellent. We could not recommend Dubuque highly enough.

Perhaps just a few more spots to hang up clothes but in the overall experience, this is trivial.

Amazing three night stay in the cottage. Super comfortable bed. Wonderful shower with great water pressure. Gardens gorgeous and the most beautiful, friendly pets greeted us upon arrival. A short 5 minute walk into town for dinner. Duncan and Chris are the most wonderful hosts. Breakfast to die for. Loved hearing about the restoration of the home and would stay again in a heartbeat.

We needed to visit the town for Superb Parrots that seem to be very reliable here. Very nice staff. With limited places to stay we could not find one with two separate beds. The booking was only for a double bed but the very friendly owners put in a second bed for us. Excellent service.

The price but considering the extra service and the included breakfast that was Ok.

The whole experience was fantastic. Christine & Duncan were so friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. Their knowledge about Dubuque was so interesting. The beds were so comfy, the house was warm. The renovation was a credit to both owners. We felt that we had stepped back in time. Breakfast was amazing and was a great finale to our visit

There was nothing to dislike

What a beautiful property - a grand period house in glorious gardens, so well cared for by owners who honour its history. Slept extremely comfortably; spoilt by wonderful cooked breakfasts; relaxed on the wrap-around verandah enjoying the garden and the birds before wandering down to town for friendly pubs. Close to Shepparton’s soaring new art museum, country walks, wetlands, pretty towns and the mighty Murray. We were there for 3 days/2 nights, packed lots in but could’ve stayed much longer!

Nothing - except that we didn’t give ourselves more time there.

Chris and Duncan were warm and welcoming hosts - they talked about the venue and the area. The little cottage was a lovely, cosy place to stay, comfortable and had everything I needed. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared to suit my request. I wouldbreak. highly recommend this as a place to stay; will be coming back again for another

Everything, the cottage was immaculate and extremely comfortable. Everything worked extremely well. Bed was extemely comfortable. Towels were soft and absorbent. Bathroom was large and modern with all you need to scrub up to a high level. Breakfast was 5 star and was made to order at our nominated time. Chris and Duncan were very friendly, communicative and unobtrusive.
