The renovation on this hotel is fantastic. Really high quality and stylish, and I love the tiling in particular. Ultimately, they managed to blend both country vibes with modern taste to give what I like to call the "shed chic" Australian aesthetic. I booked this hotel because it was so highly rated - especially by comparison to other places in Orbost - and I wondered if it was worth the price, but it absolutely didn't disappoint. Well above standard, especially as compared to what you would envision when you think of a "motel". I think it was the owner who greeted us on arrival, and he was friendly and helpful. The bed was large and comfortable, and the location was perfect for me, as I was travelling between Wilson's Prom and Canberra - it is almost exactly halfway. Plus you can see where the Snowy River meets the sea! I stayed in an executive king spa room, and the amenities in the room were great, including the toiletries and towels, which were nice and soft. The view from the back window was lovely. I also recommend the sensory gardens in Orbost, if you like nature and/or plants.

There was nothing major that I didn't like, but if I was being nitpicky, if I was going to use the desk in the room to work, the lack of overhead lighting would bother me. However, this is a common theme in modern hotels. The internet was also slow for me, but my partner didn't notice so that could be a me problem.

What a wonderful find this was! Absolutely lovely place to stop. Very clean, excellent beds, relaxing decor and wonderful staff. If you are ever on a road trip travelling through Orbost or even on business the you won’t find a better place to stay! We had two rooms and both were excellent. Nice little touches like fresh milk in the fridge and the bedside table light switches cable tied to the stem making it easier to find. How many times have you fumbled to turn the bedside light on and of so little details like this make all the difference. Our only regret is we only stayed for one night, we should have stayed longer.

Absolutly nothing, a great place to stay

Very swish and stylish, well appointed, quality furnishings and linen, comfortable extra large ks bed. Excellent bathroom and with plenty of bench space for toiletries bags. Very reasonable prices for chips, chocolates and drinks, and even two frozen meals at $9.95 - a very good idea. Good quiet location. A cut above your usual motel.

This was the most beautiful room I have stayed in. The bathroom windows opened to a field with cows. The kitchen had everything I needed.

The room is far too bright at night. There are half a dozen devices in the room all with their clock faces and indicator lights. The outside of the rooms is kept stadium-bright and the (weirdly low quality compared to everything else) blinds were insufficient because the light gets around the edges. If they fixed that my score would be 10/10. Also I had to google instructions for the coffee machine.

It was clean, shower had excellent water pressure & plenty of hot water for 3 people. Excellent communication from owners in regards to checking in. Decore was cute. Nicely renovated.

Beds are extremely hard & uncomfortable, did not sleep well. Kettle handle was loose. Driveway in & out needs attention (especially for small cars), potholes are quite bad.

Good amount of surfaces to put your things on, plenty of chairs for when our friends dropped by for a catch up, and a full sized fridge/freezer. Bathroom was large with a huge mirror and surface area and the bed was very comfortable. Fly screen windows we're great too.

Not exactly my style of decor and the bed creaked from the zinc sheet siding everytime you got up but it was comfortable and clean. Shower tiles were a bit uncomfortable to stand on.

The bush theme with the corrugated iron was quite effective. Room was very nice, plenty of space and decent shower in a big bathroom.

There were no staff there to greet you, an e-mail was received re accessing the room and when leaving the key was put in a key drop box. I never saw any staff the time I was there.

I still think this is one of the best accommodation in the area. This is our second time staying here and we were quite happy with it once again. The room was sufficient, beds were comfortable and generous, and I just like the big size fridge in the room, unlike the small bar fridge most accommodations provide.

Internet connection could have been better but this is a common issue in this area I think.

Our room was rather compact, but it was nicely designed and well-equipped. There was a desk/table with two chairs, and a coffee table with two armchairs, which was nice. We also liked that there was a coffee maker with 4 pods! Wall lights and one stand-alone light were stylish. The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful.

It was a perfect place to stay one night to have a nice rest. The only small drawback was the location, 5 min by car to the town centre. But it wasn't a big deal at all.

Lovely motel, nicely landscaped exterior. We had a spacious room with a kitchenette, which was immaculately clean. Great beds, so we had a really good sleep. Wonderful host, who made for a very smooth check in and check out. It rained, so we didn’t really get to explore the surroundings. All in all a lovely stop on our road trip.
