Settled outside of Margaret River , on the way to Augusta, in a bushland property near a lake. Beautiful spot. Bed was comfortable, lovely setting. We could take our small dog, nice walking trails around the property.

There are insects, given the location , such as ants which are in and around the Spa, and cockroaches got into our bread bag, left on kitchen counter. Our last night was ruined by fuse repeatedly tripping, so we had no electricity, we were moved to another cottage. So that meant packing rapidly with a torch, cleaning, then load the car, go to another cottage unload and repeat next morning.

Incredibly beautiful, a thoroughly enjoyable forest stay! Our cottage was surrounded by forest with big windows throughout to enjoy the same. The house had a spa which also had full on views of the forest. A full kitchenette, BBQ, ironing facility and washing machine also available (we didn't need to use these though). Heating was excellent, bedding was very comfortable. Perfectly located right between Augusta and Margaret River, with easy access to everything. Excellent in every way. We had such a wonderful time, would go back again for sure.

Superb location, nicely tucked away under the huge trees.

Room for improvement: The car parking is too far away to conveniently carry all your baggage to the cottage (Firetail). The water tank in front of the door seemed to have been empty. A little more TLC needed here and there. A fenced area around the cottage to keep the doggies in would be a bonus. The worst thing was the construction site below the cottage (western side), this was not nice to look at.

Beautiful, secluded location, so peaceful, we went for walks around the property where we saw kangaroos and emu's, the cottage was so cozy especially when it was raining and we loved hopping in the spa when we got back from a day of exploring the south-west. We liked that there was no internet and the movies we watched on the usb provided were great too, such a relaxing stay.

Self catering but plenty of options for meals in nearby Margaret River. The isolation was ideal for a breakaway and disconnect, the perfect place to recharge and reconnect with nature. There wasn't anything really that I didn't like.

Secluded surroundings, and yet easy to drive to different attractions of the area. Comfortable beds and well kept house. Great outside area to spend the end of the day and bbq. Beautiful forest surrounds, making it nice and private. even though there were other cabins near by.

Can't think of anything, it would have been nice to have more days in this cabin to explore the property and vineyards.

The cottage is about 15km from Margaret River with easy access to Bussell Hwy and the Caves Rd, so pick your destination and go explore. Plenty of places around to get good fresh and processed meats or dairy products for BBQ dinner or breakfast in the cottage. Secluded location, quiet and peaceful with plenty of wildlife - birds, kangaroos, possums etc.

The setting in the Forrest was breathtaking. You really felt as though you were surrounded by bush. The ammenities were perfect for the surroundings. Loved the spa bath, the care of having the beds already warmed and the fire on when we arrived. Thank you for a soul enriching time

Was not long enough.

Clean , spacious, high ceilings, open plan , light with views of the forest Spa was excellent , We sat there with a glass of wine listening to the birds - very relaxing The Forrest - we saw a kangaroo some birds. Was really peaceful, quiet location and only 10 mins from Margaret river town to get supplies ( food ). Good facilities for cooking …. We ate most breakfasts in but were out visiting wineries during the day. There’s no internet , but there was movies to upload onto the TV .

It was quite muddy because off the beaten track but was ok we had bought the right shoes !

The Lodge was jaw dropping amazing!!! Perfect little spot for spending time with friends and visiting the region! The lodge was super cosy, we had wood to make a fire, all the utilities to make a big dinner and the rooms were all heated up with heating and electric blankets when we arti ed as it was a cold day! It was a little piece of heaven and we were all very happy and very sad to leave! The grounds are also very beautiful and the birds visiting the lake made it very peaceful! Thank you very much for such a beautiful stay!
