Beautiful little place, 5 minutes walk into town! The beds were probably the best we had stayed in, we missed the continental breakfast every morning due to beds!Very clean & spacious! The surroundings are full of birds & trees, and its beautiful atmosphere! The spa bath was an added bonus! The manager Peter was super lovely and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you Peter & team!

Not much, the carpark will probably be on the smaller side but I'm sure the manager would be able to accommodate if you had more than one car in your party.

Very nice welcome on arrival. Good parking area close-ish to the rooms. Very spacious room and bathroom facilities including a Spa bath that we didn't have the time to use. Excellent shower. A wooden balcony with table and chairs overlooking a forest and trails at the rear of the Lodge. A very nice breakfast with a good selection of fruit, yoghurt, pastries and an excellent selection of teas and coffee in an attractive room plus a few tables outside on a verandah. The delightful hosts kept the breakfast table topped up during the busy first half hour. A big plus when everyone arrives for breakfast at the same time - 8am !

A busy road - the main one into Margaret River- is right outside the B & B - to be fair the traffic noise quietened down in the evenings around 10 pm - though the early mornings were noisy if you had a window open for fresh air. The bins get emptied at the B & B -and a popular restaurant right next door - around 5.30am so you wont need to set your alarm! The walk into town is about 10 mins along a busy road that you have to cross to stay on a footpath - unless you take a quite dark pathway over a little bridge and through a small park and public parking area which you will probably use once if at night.

Lovely tranquil setting yet easy walking distance to the centre of Margaret River. We stayed in a luxury spa suite and the room was really spacious with a very comfy bed. The balcony overlooked the wooded area at the back of the premises and was very peaceful. Breakfast was great, healthy options and a really good relaxed vibe in the dining room. Peter and Ricci are very warm and genuine people and can help out with any advice on where to go in the area. This place was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. There are steps up to the properties so check before booking which one is best if you have mobility issues. The room was also lovely and dark in the morning and no traffic noise at all, just birdsong!

Everything was great!

Our stay at Heritage Trail Lodge was comfortable, but it fell short of expectations considering the price. While the accommodation was decent, it didn’t quite deliver the value we anticipated. On a positive note, Peter, the host, was exceptionally welcoming and kind. He went out of his way to provide us with helpful information about the area, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, while the experience was pleasant, the cost left us expecting more.

The furniture was old and noticeably worn, and the mosquito screen on the exterior door was torn, which was disappointing. Additionally, the kettle had rust inside, so we were unable to enjoy hot water for tea or coffee. Many of the furnishings and amenities around the lodge showed significant signs of wear and tear, making the overall experience feel dated and poorly maintained. My assessment takes into account the fact that I spent three weeks in Australia, and this was the most expensive accommodation during my trip.

Nice location on the main road but rooms back onto the forest (national park) with access to walking trails from the lush garden. Decent buffet continental breakfast in a large and airy room overlooking the garden. Special thanks to Ricci and her staff for allowing us to store and charge our e-bikes in their shed.

Minor things. Steps up to the rooms - bit of a slog with luggage, and walkways slippery when wet. The iron in room 4 needs a good clean and descale if not replacement.

The Heritage Trail Lodge is located in a beautiful bush setting with fantastic gardens. Check in brilliant, the manager couldn't be more helpful in providing assistance. Continental breakfast options amazing - exceeded expectations. Rooms look out directly onto bushland and are extremely generous size. Bed extremely comfortable and bedding plush. Bathroom big and bonus huge spa bath. On main road but extremely quiet. Wildlife at the back door and beautiful native bush views. Great brewery situated in bush setting only 20 metres walk with good food options and very family friendly. Giniversity Distillery across the road with great food options/drinks and brilliant staff. Easy walking distance to main street shopping. Overall The Heritage Trail Lodge is the perfect venue to stay at - couples and families, and enjoy the spectacular Margaret River region.

Nothing to not love.

Nice large room, great large bed and pillows. Very nice bathroom. Leafy common area full of ferns and a fish pond. Nice tv and air conditioning. Good location within walking to town center. Lovely staff.

Shower water temp very hard to regulate. Internet speed very slow. The front 2 units (9 and 10) get a lot of traffic noise. Book 1 to 8. The included continental breakfast could use a little more choices such as maybe peanut butter and (dare i suggest) boiled eggs.

Our host was very welcoming and had kindly put a Plan B in place for the key to be retrieved as it was likely our arrival maybe after they had closed. A totally unusual place to stay - reminded me of staying in Thailand with the style of the chalets and layout. A really comfortable, quiet and restful stay with an excellent breakfast. Ideally placed for exploring the area and the added bonus of walking to a restaurant next door to save driving anywhere.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen the perfect location for our first stay in Margaret River. The property was ideally situated just a 10-minute stroll from the town center. Ricky greeted us upon our arrival and was a treasure trove of local knowledge. She took the time to recommend the best places for us to make the most of our trip.

The thing I didn’t like was the busy road. The traffic was heavy and loud at times, but we were staying right at the front of the property.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable. We were in room 2 which had been freshly renovated so it looks a bit different from the photos on the website…more modern now. Very nice! Loved looking out onto the forest from the sliding doors. Breakfast was really good! Great variety of cereals and bread. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Brewery next door was very handy for nice dinner and drink. Town is walking distance down a bit of a hill.
