This motel was fabulous! We had a family room for 2 nights and it definitely exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and comfortable. The layout and space was quite good. The outdoor space at the rear of the room was a bonus too. Nice big TV. The location was amazing - walked to the street each day, and drove to various spots to visit. The staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

It is out dated! This didn't bother us though as we weren't there for a long time but the kitchenette, bathroom, curtains and some furniture could use a refresh - it was fine for our stay though.

The location. Walking distance to town, shops and restaurants. The mature and well kept native grounds with an abundance of birdlife. Spacious rooms decorated in keeping with the heritage history of the main building. Sparkling pool and lovely Balinese style barbecue area, with water features and two brand new barbecues

It would be nice to have the option of more regular room service. The policy, as in many places post Covid, is not to service rooms daily, but a little more frequently, after three days for example, would be appreciated. Reception staff are lovely and only too willing to replenish towels etc, but a vacuum and bathroom freshen up after a couple of days would not come amiss.

We had an excellent stay at this motel! The room was huge, spotless, and well-equipped, and the beds were extremely comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. The crisp white towels and linen added a touch of luxury, and all the essentials were provided, including shampoo, conditioner, face cloths, tea, coffee, milk, a kettle, and a toaster—everything we needed for a hassle-free stay. The location was perfect, close to everything, and the self-check-in and check-out via the lockbox made arrival and departure seamless. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to use the pool due to our busy schedule, but overall, we highly recommend this motel!

The location is very good. it's in the central of Margaret River, the room was spacious and clean shower heater is very good. This is our second time staying here, and we'll keep coming back whenever we are at Margaret River. It's definitely worth recommending to our friends

One thing I didn't like this time of stay was the AC it was a bit cold night, and the heating was not working really well. We had a bit of cold night sleeping, and also, for some reason, the AC facing towards the wall away from the bed would be good if it was blowing the heat towards the bed 🛌

Lovely big room. The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean. The bathroom was spacious. Reception staff (Kelsey) was very friendly and helpful. The Motel grounds are beautiful and relaxing with trees and well kept gardens. The pool was clean and inviting (though we didn't swim in it) The location is fantastic to be able to walk into the main street for shopping, cafes etc.

I believe the motel is going to be renovated soon with improved kitchen facilities. A small sink to wash dishes would be great. Otherwise I cannot fault the facility.

We are Perth residents and regular visitors to Margaret River. We were unable to secure our usual accommodation so it was our first visit to Margaret River Motel. We were very warmly greeted at Reception and pleasantly surprised by the spacious room recently renovated with a nod to its turn of the twentieth century heritage. The grounds are generous and retain an old world charm with an abundance of wildlife, given its location just walking distance west of the centre of town. Indeed the atmosphere belies its motel description. A bonus for us was the appearance at dusk of a Western ringtail possum, carrying her baby on her back. We watched her feeding close to our window, totally unconcerned by our starstruck photographing of her!

Renovations by the new owners are ongoing, so we are looking forward to the further upgrades to public areas. It did not impact on us at all, as the centre of town with its many restaurants and cafes are within walking distance, and our room itself was light filled, newly decorated and spacious. It is already charming, and we hope that the project when completed will continue to retain its genteel personality of yesteryear. We can wholeheartedly recommend a stay there.

I understand that the proprietors are continuing to make improvements. Communal inside areas would be nice for socialising on colder evenings. Some tightening up on maintenance, like replacing lost curtain hooks etc. would be good. Additional privacy to those rooms with large windows facing the tennis court would be welcome, so that you don’t have to keep the block out curtains closed.

Great location, right next to the main strip. Easy check in and parking right outside the room. Everything is no contact. I had breakfast included with stay and supplies of cereal, fresh bread, orange juice, jam butter was waiting in my room. Large sized room, with couch and coffee table. Access to the front and back of room with outside seating area in front of each room. Great base to explore the south west of WA.

One main thing i hope for in a booking is a decent shower.... this place was let down on the shower in my room- it trickled out and was not wanted i wanted after long days exploring.

Beautiful surroundings, clean comfortable room plenty space. Great bar fridge coffee tea and hot chocolate and milk and bottles of water supplied. Great spa and bathroom facilities with lovely shampoo, body wash and soap available in bathroom, tv and aircon/heater. Gardens make you feel like you are in the lovely bush surroundings. We even had a gorgeous possum come down from the tree to say hello. Lovely front desk staff. Comfortable bed and outdoor chairs and table

Could have had a couple of extra bath towels only because it was cold and they didn’t dry well.

Comfortable sized room with a king-sized bed, ensuite and walk in robe. The room had convenient parking outside, a little sit out, kitchen facilities including coffee making facilities, a bar fridge, microwave and toaster, crockery and cutlery.

No daily replacement of fresh bottled water or milk though or bed being made up, unfortunately. Would have been nice to have that done on a daily basis as promised. Otherwise, no complaints!
