I chose this accommodation for its price point and proximity to Optus Stadium. On arrival, I was wondering what we had let ourselves in for, as the reception area stairs reminded me of an old high school. The motel doors all opened into the central car park. Parking was secure. We managed to get 2 rooms side by side and could park right in front. Although the complex is old, our two rooms were redecorated nicely, with some very cute retro touches. The bathroom was not done up, but it was clean and maintained. The kitchenette had multiple appliances that could be used to heat or cook. Overall, looks can be deceiving, The motel was secure, our car was secure, and our walk to and from Optus Stadium was safe. There were plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from. Beds were comfortable, and rooms were clean.

I came down the the recent Matildas Friendly Match and I chose to stay at Bailey's Parkside Motel again. This is the second time staying here now and I feel as if it is still the best motel in Perth. The location is near the city but also out of the way enough so that there was barely any traffic. It was also basically around the corner from HBF Park, which was very convenient for me. The check in process was still fast and the staff were still very friendly. The car park is very convenient as it is accessible through a locked gate, which is much preferred to the other hotels and motels in the city which rely on CPP parking and street parking. The price I paid for the room was very cheap for the location and the additional 15 dollars for parking per night was no issue with the security it lended. If you are looking for a cheap location near the city, this is now my go to every time.

My only complaint is that the air-conditioning, while functioning, was very old and took a while to start up and the sides were pieced together by zip ties.

Stayed here for a music festival at Wellington Square, fantastic location being right across the road. Despite the noise coming from the park, the rooms were extremely quiet (reception not so much). Booked here for the convenience and location but was very pleasantly surprised at the room and vibe! It was nice and spacious, plenty of room for two people. There was a table, fridge, kettle, coffee machine, cups, mugs, plates, cutlery, chairs, mirrors -and yet still so much room. The bathroom was very basic and not very pretty but it served its purpose -plenty of shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Room had both aircon and fan. The rooms all led out to a nice lil communal space and there were also outdoor tables next to the rooms. There is also parking on site which is so rare and a godsend as the carpark is directly outside of the rooms. It is gated (just need to grab the swipe card to drive in) so it makes it super secure. We would definitely stay here again, the value for money, comfort and size of the room!

Check in was at 2pm and rooms weren't ready till almost 2:30pm. It was a busy day though but still -never experienced a room not being ready early if not on time. The windows in the room do not have proper blinds or curtains they are see through so as soon as it's light out, the room is bright and people can also see in. We got a twin room and there were only power points at one of the beds (not even sockets around the room). There was a stain on my bedsheets and no hairdryer.

Fantastic location, super nice employees, retro style motel, nice rooms with what is needed, nothing fancy. Coffee and tea are available. The kitchenette was okay, though not enough cutlery for two persons, but it had a fridge, toaster, microwave and coffee machine, and water kettle. Own bathroom. Aircon.

The kitchenette didn't have enough cutlery for two persons. Very thin walls, so you always know when the neighbours are up. Cleaning was, hhmmm... insufficient or lacked thoroughness. The interior was a bit worn out.

Always great friendly staff,easy access,clean and has great vibe to it.

Having to pay security bond,when didn't get told when made booking and not getting it returned for 5 days...... For some people that would make a big difference to their stay....not happy.....stayed there a lot of times.

Location is great, parks and events centre close by, unfortunately we booked over a weekend that had a EDM night in the park...up until 10:30pm listening to heavy base with a 4 year old.. glad it was only 1 night. Would have liked a heads up from the hotel.!! But it happens and it's the city centre on a weekend Good sized room with the basics, shower was good with fresh towels daily, rooms were clean and tidy, beds were comfortable and staff were very pleasant and helpful The restaurant downstairs is a fantastic Italian style, ordered once on our last night and would definitely visit to dine in next time we are in Perth Spent 3 nights in this hotel and would definitely come again when prices are better and festivals are not scheduled

Disclosure or highlight events that may interrupt stay and rest 3.Rooms need updating - the diy paint jobs and fix it jobs retract from what could be a nicer hotel, the foyer is by far the most updated feature PRO. 1.Convenience of its location in the city 2.Polite and cheerful staff 3.Clean and tidy 4.Restaurant with good food .

The staff were helpful and accomodating. The bed and pillows were comfy. It was a short drive to the airport, which is why I chose the location and the price was suitable.

I read some other reviews that said the walls were paper thin, and I can see where they’re coming from. It was a bit noisy in the early evening when cars were arriving/people showering. But once other guests had gone to bed, it was fine.

location was good for our purposes. parking was secure which we appreciated. room was comfortable, clean and an adequate size.

disappointed with the restaurant next door. the menu did not offer vegetables within its mains, high price for what was offered. staff were helpful but we felt a wider variety of vegetables could be available the shower curtain kept blowing in on the body. it needs some weight at the bottom to keep it in place.

We love this place. It's understated, not fancy at all, but we always get the best nights sleep in this place. And the shower pressure is amazing. Excellent location, free off road parking, a fridge, microwave, air-conditioning, wifi and the restaurant attached is phenomenal. We love this place. Could easily stay somewhere fancier, but we love it here. Hence why we keep coming back. Thankyou!

My husband's only complaint in the bigger family room was that the TV to the room was on the far side of the room and harder to see. But we didn't even use the television during our stay. So I didn't care. My priority is comfortable beds and these beds are great every time.

Conveniently located and perfectly adequate for our needs. You can get the YELLOW CAT (free) bus from Perth Railway station to within 50m of the premises. We had. a great clean and spacious room, which while being a bit tired (peeling paint on the bathroom door, older cupboards and plumbing) was very serviceable and more than acceptable . The staff were fantastic, and we had a great stay.

There was no safe in the room, which is something we have come to expect ! We left our valuables in a locked bag in their luggage room (they have a monitored, secure controlled access system for the room). but this meant we had to be back before reception shut.
