Location and the staff

Used to be quiet before but this time some groups of young backpackers from different countries booked in and they stayed all night outside dinning area talking and laughing all night.... Really noisy and disturbed me from sleep, 😔 really annoying but it's the guest bad attitude not the property.... I suggest they should put up a notice about noise after 9 pm on the wall around kitchen areas. Thanks

Just came to Perth as a student and this is my first hostel experience. I heard a lot of stories about backpackers but this one is not what I expected. The place is a budget friendly place for solo travellers and you are not intimidated by big party crowds. Would highly recommend to all other solo travellers!

Free bus service to the city just across the road. Very convenient to get around.

Sometimes there are some backpackers who are inconsiderate and talk at the back loudly. The management is however very good. Informing about the quiet hours and telling them to keep it down.

We had a room with a shared bathroom. Very clean and we had a single attached bathroom which was very useful. I love the room heaters are working fine. The Carlton supermarket is close by if we need anything. The bus stop is within a 1-minute distance. just cross the road A shared kitchen is very clean. People from different countries prepare their meals with ease since all the equipment is available. Refrigerators are available. Overall my 7 days stay was very comfortable and I and my wife are very thankful to the hay street travellers inn team.

Their office is not manned 24/7 but you can always reach a manager via the phone number they have provided. The place is quiet and peaceful. Not your average backpackers hostel as they have private rooms only so if you are looking to mingle and chat with the occupants, this is not the place for you. However that suits me perfectly so I will be back again! =)

Location is perfect. The Red Cat Bus line is just outside the front door connecting you for free to all parts of the city via the different coloured Cat bus lines. The space is no frills but hey you didn’t expect 5* star. Bed is comfortable, A/C is ideal for the hot days. WIFI is $5 for a week but is fast and reliable. Staff are friendly and efficient. Would stay here again for a no frills no dramas attached stay.

Comfortable beds! Very good communication from the manager! I asked for a late check out because my flight was not in till 1:50pm, I wasn’t able to but he offered for me to store my luggage there for the day! Was a big relief to be able to store there as I got to explore the city more without the hassle of a suitcase.

I got a room with a shower, but the pressure was very weak, there was also no way to make the water warm it was either very hot shower or cold.

Clean room and shared areas Staff were responsive over text For a hostel, it exceeded my expectations as ive stayed in some horrible ones in Perth

I dont like that the kitchen is outside for the winter and theres not much of a common area to socialise

Private rooms are great if you don't like staying in dormitories. Place is nice and quiet. Would recommend for mature people who are there to just take a break during their off weeks.

Easy self check-in and being a solo female traveller, my main concern was safety and HSTI ticked that box. Comfortable and central to everything you need, and walking distance to most places.
