Ocean Beach Hotel Review We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Beach Hotel, thanks to its fantastic location and comfortable accommodations. The hotel is situated directly across from Cottesloe Beach, which is exceptionally well-prepared for visitors. The beach features convenient amenities like showers, making it easy to rinse off after swimming in the salty ocean. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. Although the elevator was out of order during our stay, the team ensured our experience was smooth. We arrived very early in the morning and requested an early check-in, but it was too soon. However, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel, and when we returned in the evening after spending the day at the beach, our bags had already been brought to our apartment. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable, and offered a partial sea view. There was plenty of room to unpack and settle in, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only small downside was the lack of basic utensils like knives, forks, and spoons in the drawer, which felt like a bit of an oversight. While the hotel is slightly older, it was quiet, comfortable, and had a pleasant atmosphere. The availability of beach towels was a nice touch, though the provided toiletries were minimal and could be improved.

Perfectly situated for beach access and a short walk to Cottesloe Beach Pavilion and cafes. The pub is across the car park and provides lunch and dinner in several different sections. The rooms and venue overall have gotten a little tired. The lift was broken down during our stay ( and had been for some time) but the communication about this was excellent. Overall rooms are not setup for modern electrical usage, power points are difficult to access and plugs are old. Window architecture and cupboards, bedside tables etc appear 50-60 years old. However linen was fine and beds comfortable. It does still represent good value for money considering location and view.

Towels are getting old, rooms are dated and exterior is cracking and peeling.

Great location across the road from the beach, free gated parking, great service, rooms were huge and very clean, room had a fridge and tea/coffee provided, spa room had a beach view, towels for the beach provided, was very quiet when we were there. The bathroom was a great setup, kind of 3 little rooms so it was super easy with more than one person in there. Thank you Linda for all your help!

The elevator wasn’t working and we weren’t aware. A full length mirror is about the only thing not in the room.

Excellent location, huge room and a comfortable bed for a good price, can’t be beaten in Cottesloe, to be honest. Loved my stay here. I found it quiet despite what other reviews mentioned. The beach is just across the street and the main Cottesloe beach with a shark net is a 3 minutes’ walk. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel which will take you to the Cottesloe station if you don’t have a car and fancy using public transport.

Well, it’s true it was not the cleanest, especially the windows were filthy but the view was not the greatest, anyway, so I didn’t terribly mind ;))

Really enjoyed my stay at OBH. The location is amazing - right across the road from the beach. The hotel is well loved but found my room to be comfortable, incredibly spacious and absolutely worth the price you pay. There were no noise issues. Staff were all lovely and helpful, also allowed my sister to stay without extra charge. Will most definitely stay here again when in Perth.

The lift is old and a little clunky but to be expected in such an old building. It's serviced & works. You also have stairs as an option if you dont like taking the lift.

The staff at reception were super helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, spotless and the bed was so comfortable. And very impressed with the ground coffee option along with the teas in the room. The CBlu restaurant offers delicious breakfasts and again, good coffee. I hope that in future plans for the area, the hotel is kept. It just needs a bit of a refurbishment. It is, nonetheless, a gem to be treasured.

The lift is very dodgy, bumpy ride. Not enough coffee, hot chocolate and milk available. Could have done with another blanket, otherwise a fantastic stay.

Beach location, free parking, size of rooms, free quality coffee, fair price, friendly staff!

Bathrooms could use a little TLC, but hey as long the rates stay moderate its fine. Nevertheless the WiFi connection MUST be upgraded, on / off all the times especially during evening hours.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Our budget room was large, clean and had good ammenities. It was lacking in charm however we got what we paid for.

The staff member who checked us in at midnight lacking in warmth and made us feel uncomfortable in the way he wanted to store our credit card details after he had taken the bond deposit.

We have stayed there numerous times. Great location on the beach. Clean, nice staff, secure parking. Will keep coming back 😊

Old building so a little worn Lift not working but we were given a good room on the first floor so wasn’t a problem. Location makes up for it.
