The check-in was easy because the restaurant was open and the proprietor was on the premises. I got a room with a balcony and I could enjoy the afternoon sunshine from there. The food in the restaurant is excellent (try the "käsespätzle!) and the locally brewed bier is fantastic. They even have an alcohol-free version! I was just driving through but I am sure that the place and the surroundings would be worth a longer stay. The place is not so far from the motorway but still in the middle of nature, outside the village of Pettenbach.

A pleasant find in the Austrian countryside. I only got to spend one night here but thoroughly enjoyed it! Half of the building is the hotel while the other half is the bar/restaurant/alcohol shop. The hotel room itself was OK, but the highlight was the restaurant and shop. Dinner at the restaurant was great, and it was neat to watch/listen to the locals come enjoy a few beers together in the evening. The shop sells all sorts of locally-produced alcohol which makes for easy gift buying or a souvenir from your trip. Fun place!

A beautiful hotel in a very pretty rural location with a lovely garden. The room was a spotlessly clean, was nicely furnished, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We had the apartment with all the facilities you’d need for a longer stay. We had a truly delicious dinner of local cuisine. The hotel has a vast selection of beers! . The staff could not do enough to be welcoming and friendly. 10/10

There was absolutely nothing to complain about.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. Enough wardrobe space. Enough outlets to charge smartphone and connect laptop. Basic amenities. Even a kitchen in the common area in case you want to prepare something. The restaurant offers tasty home-made dinners and nice local beers. Breakfast is quite basic but it is more than enough. In my case, the following items were available in the buffet: coffee, orange juice, different types of bread, butter, several cold cuts, cheese, some fruit, cereals and yogurt.

The heating system is switched off at around 18:30 and it is not switched on too early the next day. That means: - At night you may need some extra bed cover. - Showering early in the morning (e.g. 8am) is not super comfy because the heating system is still off and the bathroom temperature is still a little chilly. Having an electric heater for these occasions would be a great addition. But all in all, nothing one can't stand

nice hotel close to Gmunden good rooms good restaurant very kind people working there expecially the nice man from my Country Shqiptar , very nice and kind gentleman. hotel belongs to Eggenberg bier and you can drink all beers there including a nice shop inside big parking outside . best accomodation in Pettenbach .

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Parking was close to the hotel. Breakfast was simple but ok.

It was hot and only window was facing the restaurant garden - so when you open the window it was very noisy. After restaurant closed it was ok.

Very quiet location. Very friendly staff. Good restaurant with local specialties. Huge selection of beers.

very nice people, we came at last moment in the evening thursday when there is closing day but on the phone owner guided us to our rooms and all fine 👍👍 traditional good Austrian breakfast

Very friendly staff in beautiful surroundings. Well positioned for the railway line and hiking trips. Loads of wildlife

Sparklingly clean rooms and bed sheets! We were able to check in very late. The place has a nice beer restaurant. Almsee lake nearby!

Water pressure was a bit low. Mattress was a bit too soft to my taste (but it's pretty much individual preference)
