We loved our stay at Der Erlhof Restaurant & Landhotel. I travelled with my mum and 7 year old son. We only stayed for one night when travelling by interrail. But we all said we have to come back one day and stay longer. The room was clean, cosy and a lot of space. Very quiet and peaceful. Bed was comfortable. The room also had a big balcony. We had a reservation at the restaurant and we loved the food, delicious dessert. Breakfast was good with nice panorama view. Best of all, we went to the sea in the evening to swim. It was just magic, so beautiful surroundings. Memory for life. When travelling by train you have to take a bus to Thumersbach and then walk for about 20 minutes. But I don’t think It was a problem. You pay on the bus and then It’s easy to walk, sidewalk next to the road all way.

We had a room looking out over the lake. It had everything we needed. It was good to have private access to the lake. The daughter of the family spoke perfect English and was very friendly. Also the breakfast assistant on the last morning also spoke very good English which helps so much. Good breakfast buffet, especially liked the Bircher Museli. Lovely food in the restaurant in the evening. Even accommodating our smaller appetite on one evening due to feeling unwell.

The weather, not their fault of course.

Everything was clean and looked nice and new. The staff opened a sauna only for me and for free. The Lady who served the breakfast was kind and always tried to serve well and on time. I gave her a tip. It was for a reasonable price and in a nice place.

Lack of communication: I asked about the price of the dinner, and they didn't answer me. So I didn't confirm I would want the dinner. However, they expected that.

Loved our experience staying in the hotel. The location is easy to find. The room was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was delicious! The staff were kind and courteous and helped us with suggestions. They also agreed to keep our bags until we returned from our trip a few hours after checking out, which was incredibly kind of them. Our children had a lovely time here too.

Lovely views of the lake and comfortable room. I had a room in the ' very modern annexe' which had a door onto a little patio with table and chairs. Very good underground parking.

Very nice restaurant but expensive and nothing on the menu that was simple and cheap to eat. There was no where else to eat or drink within easy walking distance. Tiny narrow bed. WC was amusing with a mauve light underneath and the lid opened as you approached!

The room was spacious with a good view over the lake towards Schmitten which we really enjoyed going to the top of. The lake was about 50% obscured by trees but still a good view and very quiet / relaxed feel. It was very enjoyable after a couple of days of long distance driving. The styling is traditional wooden with a few creaks that didn't detract from the experience. Excellent view at breakfast from the Panorama Restaurance on the higher level. There was a good range of food for breakfast.

The trees blocking some of the view! No complaints with the food or quality but quite expensive so knocked back a point on value for money, but then not unexpected for Austria.

The location is amazing, the hotel is very clean and beautiful, the view on the lake is amazing. The personnel were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant and food in general were definitely the highlights alongside the private pear.

In one of our rooms, on the balcony, there was a hornet nest, but since they are protected under the law, nothing could be done about it

Literally one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The staff went over and above what was necessary to make my stay comfortable. I arrived very wet from a rainy day on my motorcycle and they immediately helped me dry my things. The place is immaculate with lovely luxurious rooms. The food was delicious.If not already, the evening dinners should be Michelin star. A fantastic breakfast with lovely view.

Not easy to think of any negatives but I would say it’s not very central to towns, if that’s what you’re looking for.

The hotel is very good and the location is excellent. But on August 17, it rained a lot in this area. And the hotel is at a short distance from the station. That's why I had to take a lot of trouble to reach it. But the cleanliness and facilities of the hotel and the breakfast was excellent. The host is also very nice and cooperative

I relished every single thing about it. The finest cuisine I’ve had in years. An endearing attention to detail in accommodation as well. I had actually made 2 individual 2 day bookings. For the 2nd booking I preferred the old inn to the glorious new panorama building. With a smile I was given an even better room in the old inn. This is the modern Trapp-family. So generous in every way. I shall certainly return.

There is not a single thing or moment I didn’t like.
