The location was the best in the city , straight into the Zell am see river breakfast was great the reception was great 24/7 and they had good experience

The most annoying part of the whole stay was the cleaning maids of the rooms I was at the fifth floor and there were two maids that were just rude and disrespectful they would enter the room without even knocking at the door , and when they enter and see you naked at my case the don’t even ask for your permission 🤕😵‍💫😡 there is a time where the literally shouted at me for breaking a glass of water by mistake she was cursing and saying bad words , I think she was racist I don’t know , I don’t know even why they would put a 60 year old maid to clean a family room , such an annoying experience

We loved our room and the lake view balcony. The breakfast and dinner were both fabulous. You had some great staff, Maria @ the Front Desk, Lucien and Aura in the restaurant three of the nicest people I've ever met - they were so kind to us! They are a credit to your hotel! Plus your parking garage fit our SUV nicely.

Smoking on the balconies and public spaces. Having a lung issue since Covid - cigarette smoke makes me physically sick and hard to breathe. Plus you can't leave your balcony door open as the smell wafts into your room. We had a lovely table next to the lake and no one was smoking then a young girl plops down at the table next to ours and lights up - the smoke made me leave after just arriving so we enjoyed the outdoor bar area for 10 minutes.

The hotel views are amazing!!! its near everything, Breakfast was delicious too.

They took the dirty towels without bringing new ones, the room was still dirty after cleaning, and we found insects on the bed.

The attentive staff always greeted us with a smile and went above and beyond to make sure every moment was perfect. If you’re dreaming of a summer escape where relaxation meets breathtaking scenery, the Grand Hotel Zell am See is simply unbeatable.

Our experience at Grand Hotel Zell am See was amazing. The hotel is very clean and well-kept, with friendly and kind staff who made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The location is perfect—right in the city center by the lake, yet quiet and peaceful, ideal for families. The rooms are fully equipped, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the furniture is classic. Everything was in great condition, and we felt completely relaxed during our stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Zell am See!

Everything was exceptional From the smooth check in , Car and Luggage handling , Professional staff taking care of every detail of your stay since arrival until departure ( front disk Mr.Ibrahim , all Restaurant personnel especially Ms.Marrie, and the housekeeping staff ) Clean and beautiful , spacious rooms , breathtaking lake view. Central Location close to everything. We booked half board , and special mention to the dining experience which is 7 stars and luxurious, variety , quality , taste all exceeded our expectations. Definitely highly recommended

Perfect location close to boat tour with private beach access to the lake. Exceptional breakfast. I stay at the annex building and air condition works well. This was very helpful during the heat wave.

I was unable to drive to the hotel. The road was blocked. It turned out I had to call and speak to someone and the blockade will go down to allow you to come in to park. I had to park at the Rathaus parking lot. I wish I was told about this earlier. This is why I gave only 8/10 rating.

The cultulal differens from the croud of arabic guests made the stay less pleasant than we thought. Be aware.

We did celebrate a birthday during our visit, and while the hotel had planned a small celebration during dinner, we were checking out that day and kindly asked if it could be moved to breakfast instead. The staff accommodated our request, which we truly appreciated. However, the celebration itself was quite modest—mainly colorful stickers on the table. While it was a thoughtful gesture, a bit more effort or a small personal touch could have made it feel more special, especially given the premium nature of the hotel. Despite that minor detail, our experience was overwhelmingly positive. Grant Hotel Zell am See is a fantastic choice for those seeking a luxurious, relaxing getaway in a stunning location.

- location is phenomenal - staff are professional - nice parking for you car - the Elisabeth suite is incredible - the view for the balcony is great - room service is fast - looks classy and historic

- if by chance you are staying next to a room that has children be prepared to hear their annoying voices all the time - for some reason when I parked the car in the hotel’s garage the receptionist insisted on keeping the cars key in the reception which was odd - some facilities are not well maintained it’s to be expected from a very old hotel
