The location cannot be beaten. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was wonderful.

The fitness, while clean and modern could do with a few added basics. First, just to have a few ‘rollers’ for use on the mat seems pretty self-evident but they were missing. Guests in five star hotels also expect a ‘normal’ bike, not a high tech sports bike that puts a person in a very awkward seating position. Useless for me. The welcome gift: exchanging a little plastic sapphire in a pretty velvet bag for a ‘gift’ at the bar is a wonderful idea. However, guests in five star hotels expect a glass of champagne as a gift and not two minuscule chocolates the size of a coffee bean. Better not to continue with this initiative, which will disappoint nine out of 10 guests.

The location is best you can find. Breakfast is phenomenal 😀 Gorgeous interior, well equipped room, all you need and beyond! Bar and restaurant both are very good. Personnel is very supportive, friendly and makes you feel at home!

I managed to find some dust in the room, for instance on the hangers, so had to wipe them before putting my clothes on. I do have very high standards, and don't want to hold it against the cleaning staff, but maybe revising/updating cleaning protocols is due.

After reading some previous reviews I was a little hesitant to book. However, it turned out to be one of the best hotels we ever stayed at, so I can't understand previous guests complaints. The location is excellent, it's walking distance to everything in the city centre. The staff were so welcoming and professional, at reception and in the breakfast room. I asked for a flatter pillow and they provided one immediately. The breakfast selection was amazing! The bedrooms were beautiful, comfortable and had the highest ceilings I had ever seen in a hotel room! We had a ground floor room facing the inner courtyard and it was so lovely and quiet, not a sound. The bathroom accessories were so nice I ordered the products, Gemology online later. We would stay here every time we visit Antwerp - an excellent hotel. Thank you to all the amazing friendly staff there for your great service.

Stayed end-April, so not high season, and Sapphire House was good value. The road to the entrance was under construction whilst we were there and the hotel made every effort to avoid disturbance to our stay. The old building is tastefully refurbished with lots of rooms to relax after a days sightseeing. Rooms were nicely appointed with comfortable beds . Staff were friendly and professional. Many cafes, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Loved our stay in Antwerp and at Sapphire House.

Street construction a key issue, although perhaps compensated by price. Breakfast was good but not exceptional, dining options were fine. Room under the rafters was awkward, even a safety hazard with multiple supporting struts. We didn’t ask to change — perhaps a mistake— to stay higher above street construction

Beautiful place, fantastic room and it was also immaculately clean. Some nice old architectural elements here and there, and the overall bar/lounge area is done with great taste and style. Staff is friendly at reception. Hotel feels modern and well taken care of, Unbeatable location .... very close to the 'Meir' so you're a couple of minutes away from the city center.

Breakfast OK, a bit scattered over multiple small locations, some of them feel cramped. Quality of food and options certainly good, nothing spectacular but has all the options you would expect and everything is fresh. However, staff felt stressed out and all over the place on this particular date. Beds OK, pillows were bad but I guess that's personal thing. 100% street noise if you're at the street side. You will wake up if you're a light sleeper! Bar (spirit) alcohol prices too high, Gin&Tonic at 18 euro is exuberant.

Breakfast could be better. Already at 9 they run out of yogurt. Cereals were humid 🥲 and coffee was terrible. We ended up having breakfast outside. Staff was a little too distant. It was somewhat difficult to understand our way around breakfast, and also they couldn’t properly make an invoice with the company name I had requested. Also, the bed was extremely soft and pillows were a little flat. I ended up with a backache.

The room was spacious and clean and there was a colleague at the reception who helped us with dinner reservations and gave us recommendations.

Breakfast sermed a bit chaotic. You were seated but nobody came back to see if you wanted anything from the menu. The plates were hidden and nobody told us where they were. The breakfast itself was nice. However the areas should be cleaned before the next person is seated. We were seated at a table for 2 but there were eggs all over floor.

Breakfast was ok, coffee machine queue was long and when one wasn’t working it became too long. The staff stepped in and made a fresh coffee from the bar, well done. Location was good, close to shopping etc. we did have problems finding our room as there are two sides to the building. Bar staff are slow, but these were just the only two negatives. Everything else was amazing, except we were promised a free disabled space, however due to road works closing access at front of hotel we did have to pay in the underground car park.

Front desk personnel were very helpful to us as first time travelers to Antwerp. Lobby and common area decor was exceptional. Breakfast were great with a wide variety of choices.

Next to no drawer space for clothes and no closet! Hangers were open air rack with bar so close to the wall that they had to slant at an angle because ends touch the wall. This was the biggest oversight for us for such an otherwise exceptional hotel. One other minor point - sink bottom was flat so water would not always drain without pushing it along with your hands. Sink designer apparently preferred esthetics over function.
