I loved everything about the location & the layout in the Barge. The food choice was excellent. The location from the town centre and the train station, could not have been any better. The staff from my entering the barge, to my leaving, were helpful in everyway. They went above and beyond anything I could ask for. The cleaner of my room, kept it looking very well, with the lovely touches, of putting my shower mat in the shape of a boat, as well as putting towels on my bed in the shape of swans. They made my holiday just perfect. I will almost certainly 100% stay here again.

There was absolutely nothing I disliked.

This is a charming hotel right on the canal. The buffet breakfast is an additional cost, but quite nice with a good variety of things to choose from. There were both hot and cold items to select. The front garden was a great place to sit and have a beer of wine during the heatwave. The rooms were quite comfortable and there was good water pressure in the showers. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We'd certainly stay here again.

Everything was great, though the heatwave made things a bit sticky.

The barge is a beautiful ship full of character. The room had a wonderful view of the canal and other barges going by. It was within fairly easy walking distance of the station and also for the free shuttle bus to the centre of Brugge, There was an excellent menu available for Friday night dinner. Breakfast choices were good. There were other places to eat nearby. The staff were friendly.

I think the main surprise was that there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room. There may have been a reason for this but it meant that breakfast time was the only chance to have a cup of tea or coffee. Breakfasts were rather expensive and not such good value as the dinners that were available at weekends.

A lovely welcome from the staff, a great location overlooking the canal, a comfortable bed and the food at the restaurant - it was excellent. We did breakfast twice in the three mornings we were there and it was generous and catered to all our tastes. We were suitably surprised at how good dinner was! The lamb stew was the best!!! It's a picturesque walk into town where there is loads to do - delicious Belgian chocolate and waffles!

Some slight noise could be heard from other neighbouring room but it was not too noisy to disturb our sleep.

The beds were very comfortable and so I slept really well, the view over the water was fantastic, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. I'd recommend the breakfast, it was decent value and there were lots of choices. It was lovely to eat looking over the water too. The location was ideal, tucked away in a quiet corner, whilst being only a short walk to the centre and lots of Bruges' attractions.

I really enjoyed the stay so there's very little to say. The rooms were a bit smaller than they looked in the photos and because of the nature of the accommodation, you could clearly hear people moving about in the corridor in the mornings.

It was very cool to stay on a boat for the first time. My kids loved watching the boats coming and going on the river. It was a super easy gentle walk into town. Staff on the desk were very helpful.

It was a little older and more tired looking than in the profile photos. Because the desk was only manned in the day time it also felt quite deserted in the evenings. The breakfast was expensive so we didn't eat there.

The room (cabin) was as adevertised and as I work on ships I liked it. The location was great for city centre, 15 min walk, and this was close to station, if needed, parking, if needed, and close to restaurants. You have to make sure you talk to staff about food if you want it as it is a small hotel and doesn't have a large restaurant so food is not readily available. Shower was ok the presure was a little low but it was manageable. Over all we loved the place.

Could be awkward if you forget to book your breakfast. Double bed was two singles put together, did feel a bit lumpy.

Lovely warm and comfortable cabin, bed very comfortable. Nice hotel barge, staff helpful and friendly. Extremely good breakfast offer. Good location, only 5 minutes walk to/from the train station. About 10 minutes walk to/from the main square, 5 minutes to closer local restaurants and where the ice rink is located.

Dinner menu rather expensive so we decided not to eat on board, sad as would have liked the convenience of that, had a walk to local restaurants. Is a restaurant barge next door to this hotel which is a bit cheaper. Hotel barge bar not cheap but then Bruges is not cheap, so not way off.

Excellent location, actually the location is super special, it is a barge on the water. There is no movement, but if you have a room onto the water, it is beyond special, just wonderful. Ducks will come visit you! Delicious breakfast, with smoked salmon, so not stingy and super-friendly helpful staff. Also, because you are outside of the very touristy part of Bruges, while being a perfect distance away, you don't get all the noise you would if you were in the city.

Poor wifi, not always available. If you take a room on the bottom floor, you will hear everything upstairs, as there is little sound insulation. I would get rid of the big desk chair in room 12, since it is difficult to get around the bed. The TV is at the wrong angle to actually watch it while lying in bed.

Having stayed here a few times before we knew what to expect.

Unfortunately the barge has lost a bit of its character, no atmosphere no one using the outside seating the bar and restaurant not attracting people. It used to be a real hub of activity but I guess since covid things have changed. It's a shame as the barge next door " The Mayflower" appears to have captured the passing trade. Perhaps it's time to give the barge a fresh lease of life.
