Quiet, peaceful place. It's not far from the center, from the crowds. Next to one of the city's many canals. A pleasant garden for relaxing in peace and greenery. The bus stop from the station is next to the hotel. There are restaurants, shops, bakeries nearby. The location is very good. The towels in the bathroom were changed every day. They refilled water and coffee daily.

I appreciate that the hotel is furnished with antique furniture. But it was annoying to have the closet and bathroom doors creaking so loudly, and you were always worried about waking the person next to you.

Lovely building with stylish decor throughout. Staff friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and we appreciated the fact that there was a fridge, especially as it kept our Belgian chocolate chilled. Breakfast was plentiful and well presented. Lots of choices of food and drinks. We even enjoyed a glass of cava with our breakfast. (well it was our Ruby wedding anniversary!) Within easy reach of main attractions and restaurants.

There was only one cup on our tea tray but easily rectified by reception however a couple of days later after our room was serviced we had to go in search of a second cup again. A bit random as we thought it was obvious that two people were staying in the room. A minor quirk.

Excellent location. The character of the hotel. Room was spacious. Very comfortable king-size bed. Good breakfast with romantic atmosphere. Very attentive staff. We celebrated a birthday and some kind words were waiting for us in the room. Appreciated.

Despite its modern and spacious design, the bathroom lacked certain amenities such as a hand-towel holder and soap holder. While the Italian shower was nice, the absence of a door made it difficult to prevent water from spilling onto the bathroom floor. A full-length mirror was missing in the room (expected in a 4 stars hotel). At night, when cars pass by, the paved street that runs between the canal rooms and the canal become a source of noise. Traffic is very limited, but this is still to be considered when booking a room with canal view.

The breakfast and breakfast staff are fantastic. Chef Softest scrambled eggs delicious. Food presentation and attention to detail by the breakfast ladies is outstanding. Nothing ran out even when it was busy. Missing our breakfast thank you love room 31 xx Room very cosy with nice old furniture. Stunning bathroom. The biggest bed I’ve ever seen. Not just a bedroom and bathroom. Quite location great for sleep no noise. This hotel is beautiful, elegant, and refined. It is one of those places you dream you could stay in, but never thought you could afford. Everything was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel and rooms were beautiful, and breakfast was great. My niece, her husband, and their 9 year old daughter stayed in a family room. My niece said it was the largest room she ever stayed in, and her family travels often and stays in nice resorts so I took this as quite a complement. They had a very large bathroom and a very large shower with two shower heads. My room ended up having a large bathroom, but the bathtub/shower was a typical size. There were two rooms, one a living room with two love seats and a chair so that we could all gather and talk, and the other with a large room with a king size bed. The room overlooked the canal, and later at night I could see the full moon reflecting off of the canal. The hotel is close to the sites of Bruges but not so close that it was noisey.

A bit of a barrier, screen, or something in the family room so there could be more privacy between the king bed and the pull out couch bed would have been nice.

This was a beautiful, comfortable and stylish hotel which was perfect for our stay in Bruges. The Library Room was absolutely gorgeous; we loved the big comfy bed, the spacious bathroom and the decor -- it was absolutely worth spending a bit more money for this special room with a view over the canal. There was so much space compared to many of the other hotels we stayed at during our month in Europe. The little sitting nook overlooking the canal and the statue of Jan van Eyck was the best part. The staff were friendly and extremely polite and prompt when we asked for a few more pillows to be brought up (as we weren't used to European pillows). The hotel isn't right in the centre of the old town, but it's only about a 3-5 minute walk to get to market square and it means the neighbourhood is nice and quiet. There's a bus stop right near the hotel, which goes to and from the train station, and this made our day trip to Ghent extra convenient.

The location is good, about 8min walk into the centre and less then 15min taxi from Brugge train station. The hotel has lots of character and charm and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast is more like a continental breakfast, but with enough choice to fill you up and set you up for the morning. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The reception staff in the evening were especially helpful when we checked in during the evening. I'd requested a bottle of champagne as we went for a birthday and that was sorted for us and in the room ahead of our arrival which was great!

Parts of the hotel do need a bit of TLC, some wear and tear of carpets etc that need sorting.

Huge bed and very spacious sofa bed. Amazing location in the centre but not in the very noisy area, excellent location. Very spacious room, bathroom. Good choice of breakfast. Staff very nice. Its such a beautiful place and has caracter. And i really apreciate the extra pillows as I sleep with more then one and it was such a pleasure not to ask but already have more in the room. Attention to detail its there so thank you for that. Coffee machine and coffee pods and a fridge also in there which is always welcomed.

The hotel was very old-world authentic, lovely European understated fine hotel along with the staff who were eager to be of assistance. The location was a very nice walk to the center Cathedral square. The manager was very helpful and a front desk representative, Zaki, was also. We are seniors and we were very pleased.

Nothing really. It’s a bit of a walk from the lobby to some of the rooms and there are hallway walking level changes but it was no problem. I don’t think they have bellmen and that would have been nice.

very good hotel located just outside the city so very quiet the breakfast was good and everything was there also a cozy bar where you could have a drink the room was good with an excellent bed just the bath shower I found a little less but that is also because I am tall but is also a personal choice ideal to believe to go everywhere just 10 minutes from the city also very easily accessible by bus from the station take bus 2 and get off at the theater 2 minutes walk from the stop in other words a top hotel if you want to discover the city
