After 80 years, this hotel is still running strong. The age makes some corners look a bit run-down, but the friendly staff, great location and good restaurant make up for it. The breakfast was fantastic. A large buffet with fresh fruit, bread, cereal - great variety. Comfortable setting in a large dining room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. While gluten-free bread should be ordered the day ahead, the staff managed to produce two buns within 20 minutes. The location is literally 1 minute from the train station, making it an excellent option to work in Brussels and enjoy the city of Leuven at night.

I missed some air conditioning on the hottest day of the year in Belgium, which made the room very hot. Luckily a fan was provided. I suppose airco is not necessary during most of the year though.

Could do with a bit of care to things like a broken curtain rail and a damp patch in the bathroom While stairs were mentioned, the 2nd floor apartment has 50 steps to get there - and the staircase is quite narrow for lugging a suitcase up and down

The hotel is located just opposite the main train station and within the walking distance from the city center. The room was very clean and warm, the shower worked well (sadly, there was no hairdryer). Buffet breakfast was very good, and in the evening we enjoyed the dinner and drinks in the restaurant which is part of the hotel. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The curtains were really good and provided complete darkness in the room. The bed was a bit too soft, but for a couple of nights it is suitable. We had a nice stay for 2 nights.

The location is ideal for travelers looking to explore the city or those on business trips. While the hotel staff was friendly and the premises maintained cleanliness, there are a few areas where the hotel could see improvement. Overall, if you’re looking for a well-located and clean place to stay with amiable staff and can overlook the dated decor and lack of elevator facilities, this hotel could still be a good choice.

Firstly, the hotel itself feels quite outdated and would greatly benefit from some renovations and redecoration, especially in the rooms. This could enhance the overall guest experience significantly. Additionally, the absence of a lift may be a concern for some guests.

The personel is amazing. Location is amazing. I didn't not have _any_ real problems or issues with the stay.

So my only problem with the apartment that I was given it is that it is actually an residential apartment and not a hotel number, which was not expected. My only problem with this apartment is that it has not shower setup. It has a bath with the shower head, but there is no setup to keep the shower head above your head (and no water screen of any sort) so the cleanup setup was slightly convoluted.

Apartment was fine....comfortable...big enough...clean... Stairs was an issue and won't be suitable for everyone, my apartment, with 70 steps, but having managed that, then fine. Breakfast was fine with the staff very accommodating, helpful, and eating in the hotel was good. Bedroom...kitchen..bathroom...sitting room....toilet...all good. Very close to the train station also if that's what is needed....trains to everywhere and the hotel is within a short distance of shopping areas. All in all a good experience. More than one star but the age of the hotel and the lack of an elevator.

The lack of an elevator is not ideal, if you can handle this, then it's fine. Area is very central, is very busy, and can get noisy outside.

Complimentary bottles of water on arrival. 'Free' breakfast included some fresh fruit, granola and yogurt options. Coffee machine with ground coffee was good. Late finish for breakfast hours appreciated. TV included BBC & France TV channels so could watch live Six Nations rugby in room. Effective central heating radiator. Convenient location near railway and bus stations. Wardrobe for storage. Room tidied etc daily.

There's no lift and there are 76 steps up to the third floor but on the plus side they are wide and there's a good handrail. You may have to run the hot water tap for a while before it runs hot. Some of the (self service) breakfast supplies, e.g. ham, could run out if you are not early. The mini chocolate croissants were disappointing but the fresh bread was good. The bathroom had inadequate shelf space and there was no bin.

The rooms are really nice, clean and well equipped. The lighting within both the hall and the rooms create a warm atmosphere. The staff is welcoming and very kind. The hotel is right above a beautiful lounge, where breakfast and lunch are served during the day, and drinks at night. The building is beautiful and the premises offer nice restaurants and bars. The hotel is located conveniently in front of the train and bus stations. Perfect stay!

Noise in the square at 5AM. They clean up the street in the early morning and the noise can be heard in the rooms facing the main square. The windows are soundproof, but unfortunately the noise is high and, in any case, a guest could be willing to sleep with the windows open... which, in this hotel, does not seem possible unless you ask for a room facing on the other side.

Excellent location, and the breakfast a real plus especially considering the cost of food locally. The staff were so friendly it added a lot to the enjoyment of my stay. I don't speak or understand Dutch but the staff could not have treated me any better.

Cannot fault the hotel in any way. The weather was lousy, but that's not the hotel's fault.

Location was excellent. Apartment was great size , bright and airy. Once windows were closed ,it was soundproof. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices.

There was an odd smell in shower area, it wasn’t anything was blocked, as shower was very good with plenty of room . Apartment was three floors high, lucky we are only in our seventies, and were fit enough to climb them. Skylight window needs repair.
