This was a very nice hotel. Great service, comfortable rooms, good staff. The best part of it is probably the restaurant upstairs, too. Very nice food, staff, view. The attached department store was kind of strange, but super handy too.

I hate to say the location but that's probably it. There seem to be two kind of visitor friendly parts of the city that I could see, and we were in the middle, but not really "walkable" to either. This is not in the "action", so to speak. Beautiful view from the restaurant/rooftop though. No pool or amenities like that. They were building/updating, so they will have those things shortly it seems (we visited in Apr 2025).

The stay at this hotel surprised me very much for the best. The rooms were very clean, the staff was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant on the top floor provides excellent service and delicious food. We had an inconvenience with the schedules because a colleague had to return a day early and the hotel did not hesitate to help us. For business travel I would recommend it without a second thought.

I miss a swimming pool and a gym, but by this time they were already building the infrastructure to provide these services next year. I also missed a power outlet near the table in the room for working.

This was a perfect stop for our final two days in Belize. The water pressure wasn't that great but everything else was nice. The rooftop restaurant boasts great views and even better service (shout out to Vincente and Noel, the bartenders-they are awesome). The bed was comfy as was the couch, room spotless, housekeepers very friendly. They held our bag at the front desk on our last day and arranged shuttle service to Di Brewery.

There is construction going on but other than an obstructed view, it doesn't really interfere with the stay unless you need to sleep during the day.

We had a comfortable stay and would definitely return. Our room was very clean, the bed quite comfortable and the wifi, AC, mini-frig and plumbing all worked well. The rooftop restaurant is a lovely spot for sunset viewing and the food and service were great. There’s a large, filtered-water container just off the lobby to refill your bottle from which we greatly appreciated. It’s an easy walk along the waterfront to the Belize lighthouse and sign and the hotel provides a fast and reasonably-priced shuttle to the airport. Thank you for a good stay!

It’s true that the hotel has construction going on and it can be quite noisy from 7a - 6p, but most people are out touristing during that time. The only suggestions we have are that considering the plastic pollution crisis the hotel consider doing as many hotels are and switch from individualized mini plastic bottles to large dispensers in the shower. Also, considering the extreme heat we’d suggest not using duvets on the beds, just a thin cover.

Decent room with a comfortable bed. Rooftop bar with good happy hour options. Airport shuttle was convenient.

There is another building (hotel) going up next door and so this building site is all we could see out of our 4th floor room (about 20 feet away) and also the structure is now higher than the rooftop bar, which completely blocks the view to the south. We booked a hotel shuttle (30 USD) and didn't realized we had been charged and so paid the driver, thus paying twice! This area of Belize City is a bit desolate, although we didn't feel unsafe.

We had a great experience staying at the Hotel. The Staff was exceptional from the front desk staff, Orlando to the resturant. the bartender Darwin, the manager at the restaurant Hansen, and all the other staff were exceptional. we were treated with courtesy and a smile. They greeted us at the door. We give the staff at the restaurant a 5 star. Brian & Myrtle

the only negative was that our room was in front of the construction site, and a little noisy, Which we totally understand. other than that it was great. The room was comfortable. We were able to get the Junior Suite on the last day. It is a beautiful room. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom didn't have any hooks for us to hang our clothes.

The hotel staff was very helpful and kind. The accommodations were lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The view was non existent as there was construction and workers outside our window so the blinds had to remain closed for privacy. We took advantage of the rooftop bar which was fantastic. The staff at the restaurant was above great, very attentive and helpful with pointing out the many sights. Helped us make great choices with food suggestions. The food was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks for the watermelon juice 😊

The hotel and restaurant were very nice, but the noise of construction was not. They are doing a massive expansion so check before you go if that is complete. The view from the restaurant terrace is wonderful, and a breeze made it comfortable in the shade. Breakfast was a choice of three meals off the menu, and was quite good.

The construction won't last forever but for now it is super annoying.

We opted to stay at the Golden Bay Belize Hotel for two nights ahead of our return travel. It was modern, clean and very affordable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly as well, they even helped us organize the airport drop-off.

The building is under heavy construction and the surrounding area is not very nice. While it is close to the Watertaxi station (approx. 10min walk), we were warned on multiple accounts that the area is not safe to walk around at night (some restaurants even close at 6pm to avoid night travel for the staff). We wanted to visit the restaurant patio on the top floor but it was closed without any advance notice.

Clean, secure, nice rooftop dining area, store attached to hotel, view of the sea, comfy bed and nice pillows.

Room was not ready on arrival, no hooks to hang towels, nowhere inside shower to put soap and supplies, store closed at 6 pm Saturday evening before I could make purchases and it’s not open on Sunday (would have loved if they had pointed this out at check in, then I would have hurried to the store b/c there is nothing else close by) and breakfast doesn’t start until 7 am and they have nothing that is grab and go, which meant no breakfast for us before our 7:30 departure to catch our flight.
