Very short drive from BZE airport. A wonderful oasis of trees, shoreline, and amenities in a natural setting just outside the rather ugly/sketchy Belize City. Great value, friendly welcoming staff. A really neat property on the ocean and the river, with mangroves, palms, birds, lizards, and friendly pups. Pool was nice, and free kayak use was a great perk. Onsite restaurant was able to provide gluten-free for one celiac in our group. Also staff was helpful arranging airport shuttle and SUV rental for us.

Shower fixture needed to be replaced. Water was warm but the nozzles and controls in what once-upon-a-time was a fancy multi-nozzle rain/jet fixture didn't work, so it just sort of dribbled water out of a dozen orifices. But it got us clean anyway. Rather comical really. The restaurant is very basic, so expect a homemade "island time" vibe. But we found it charming.

The continental breakfast consisted of yogurt, toast and fresh fruit which was brought up to us in a very quaint thatch-roofed dining area about 12 feet off the ground. The tables and chairs in the dining area were all uniquely made with what appears to be mahogany wood. The breakfast was sufficient for us and comes free of charge with the room rate, however if you want a different breakfast, it could be ordered and made for an additional price. We only stayed one night before our return to the States, but we really liked the layout of the various cabins and buildings on the property. The breeze was spectacular both at night and in the morning when we were eating breakfast. We had a room with two queen sized beds, which were very comfortable. Loved the shower - it had a big shower head with good water pressure. When we checked in, the owner showed us to our room and even carried my wife's suitcase up to the room for her, which we thought was extremely thoughtful of him.

Our only complaint would be that it was a little hard to find the place. And the road to the resort has a lot of huge potholes. Other than that, it was great!

We were looking for a place to stay close to the airport for our last night in Belize. Location is good for that and very pretty as well. We had a little cabin that was perfect for us. There was a fridge in the room and a counter with stools. The included continental breakfast was good and if you wanted more there was a menu to choose from. There is a restaurant but not a bar. If alcohol is essential then bring your own as a glass of wine is expensive. The fresh fruit juice on the deck with a view was a better choice. The pool area was clean and a swim before the airport was a nice way to end our trip.

This is not the hotel's fault but there was construction on the road to get to the hotel. The exit off the main road was not obvious at all and it took us a few tries. I was very glad we were not trying to find the place in the dark as it was hard during the day.

the facilities and bungalows were awesome! the food and booze was pretty overpriced for what you get so I would recommend grabbing those items before you head to the property. for reference they only serve wine and it’s $30 American dollars a bottle

The Seaside Chateau is so pretty and peaceful! The grounds are lovely and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful, from our shuttle driver to the front desk to the waitress and cook. There is a beautiful infinity pool with an ocean view, and a pretty little beach with kayaks (but don't go swimming from the beach -- crocodiles are said to lurk nearby, although we never saw any). We enjoyed our dinner at the little on-site restaurant, especially the view from the "upper deck" open-air dining area. Guests should realize that the restaurant is small, so don't expect super-quick service, but the food was delicious. And be sure to bring some bug repellent; there are mangroves nearby and mosquitos can be pesky. (I'm the only one who got bit in our party of 5 adults, so it could just be that I'm a mosquito magnet.)

We could have used a chair in our room, but really, that's our only complaint. It was a great place to stay overnight.

The property was lovely - surrounded by water and well-appointed gardens and seating areas. The pool was an infinity pool that looked toward the bay. Our room was not really ocean view- but it was fine. The little restaurant was actually terrific (had the local fish) and the staff in the restaurant were so friendly.

They confirmed a rental car through them but when we tried to get it in the morning, it was not available. He found us another one - but rather than take us to the rental place (just 10 minutes away), he made us wait an hour an a half sitting in the waiting room (though he called a couple of times to confirm). He could have had one of his drivers take us (but said it would cost us $20?) Truly, that was my only complaint - we could have walked there if we knew it was that close and been up to San Ignacio much earlier! Disappointed in that customer service by Ashley

We stayed here for one night before flying back home. The location is amazing for access to the city and airport but it is not in the city. My husband loved kayaking but saw Crocs every time to be aware. The pool facilities were better than expected.

The restaurant is over priced and took over an hour to get our food from. I also struggled with knowing what I was booking as the type of room seemed to be called something different on all the various websites. They do have a bunch of cabins close to the water but we were staying on the floor level of two complexes. It just meant there was not a lot of natural light.

Instead of booking into a hotel near the airport we decided to stay at this lovely, Belizian resort for a night and we were really glad we did. It is beside a river going into the sea and a really pretty place to stay. There was a lot of interesting wild-life to look at, including pretty birds and even a crocodile. The breakfast was delicious. The room was lovely and spacious, the beds were big (a superking and a king I think) and the sheets were of a very high quality,

They had run out of some food and coca cola. Also, reception said they would get me some bug spray and the office was supposed to open until 7pm but it closed earlier than that. Definitely take bug spray with you.

The pool and the way the staff were able to make themselves available during their off time to make sure we had the perfect stay. It felt like the resort took care of us even when we were off site. It felt very personalized and made us feel safer traveling further afield. We enjoyed breakfast a lot.

The food at the restaurant specifically during dinner was not good or made as indicated in the menu. It was hard to order breakfast items a la mode, without having to order extra stuff. “All I wanted for breakfast was the wrap with nothing else, no fruit, no yogurt, and stuff like that, just the wrap only, please!” -12 yr old feedback

This is a great hotel tucked in a nice area by the sea. The staff are so helpful and friendly and you will try and makes sure you are happy and have everything you need for your stay. Food is well cooked and its nice area to relax in. Tours can be arranged and a shuttle is always available at any time of the day. Rooms are big cabanas and comfortable with free Netflix and Prime.

No beer is served here (only wine) so grab some in the local supermarket on the way back in the shuttle. They have 2 coffee containers out at all times but no hot water. I only drink tea and had to keep asking for hot water, sometimes it was not hot enough as they microwave it.
