Great location, they provide you with beach towels, which was nice. Lots of security, so felt very safe. Room was huge and nice toiletries provided.

Check in and check out took absolutely ages. Over half an hour, we’d also already checked in online. Was quite bizarre. We also returned from a day of sightseeing at 4:30pm and our room hadn’t been cleaned. At 5pm we had a knock on the door from the maid asking to clean the room. Rooms should be cleaned in the day time, not the evening in my opinion.

Normally when there is a Nespresso machine on the bedroom table, the capsules would be free. But this hotel charged (quite significantly) for the capsules for the days after the first day. There should be a warning sign to state that it was free only on the first day.

Amazing hotel right on the beachfront! The price is honestly the best you’ll find for a hotel of this level. The breakfasts are fantastic — always a wide variety, everything fresh and delicious. And having breakfast while looking out at the ocean is just a dream. I want to give a special shoutout and big respect to the staff working on the hotel’s beach. Many people don’t even know that the hotel provides sunbeds and umbrellas — such a great bonus! Also loved the bathroom amenities — high-quality shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, all with a lovely scent. My rating: 100 out of 10. Highly recommend!

- the pool is very tiny (looked a bit bigger in photos) - we had room on the back part of the building with separate elevator. I knew before that we wouldn’t have a nice view because you need to pay extra for that but we had the other rooms right in front of our window. We had to keep the curtains closed at all times because other wise people could see in the room. We also had a constant sound of the other air conditioners - breakfast is not worth it, better to go next door to paderia

The lobby was spacious and airy with lots of seating. There were a number of us staying in the hotel as we were attending a family wedding, however our dream trip came to an abrupt end when my sister’s husband who was also staying in the hotel died suddenly. The Management and staff of the hotel were exceptional. Renee the hotel Manager provided us with a room near the lobby where we could gather, also providing coffee & water for us and our extended family who were staying at a hotel nearby. He also allowed one of his staff members, Thaine to accompany my sister to the hospital and act as a translator. Kaique, the guest manager was also on hand to assist us. A special thank you to Manager Renee again. I would highly recommend this hotel. It’s in a fabulous location and they made our stay as comfortable as possible considering our shocking ordeal.

The location is right across the street from the beach, very nice hotel, nice onsite bar/restaurant. Friendly staff. Was only there for one night, but the room was spacious and comfortable.

The only thing I can say is that I was REALLY hoping for an early check-in after a VERY long flight and was told by the person at the front desk that they would WhatsApp me when my room was ready and I had to kind of babysit the situation because my room was ready and they never sent me a message. Really doesn't detract from the quality of the hotel and it seems to be par in my travels, but I just wish that more hotels would stick to their guns on this with weary travelers that need to get some rest.

Design, location, views, rooms were all fantastic. The breakfast was incredible - so much choice and all of excellent quality. Rooftop pool and bar were incredible! The pool isn’t the largest but we never found this an issue, there were only ever a handful of people using it at a time! Also, the location on copacabana is great - it’s down the nicer end, and is only a short walk to Ipanema!

The air con in our room was on the noisy side, though very efficient at cooling the room. Could be updated for a newer, quieter unit.

Great location, nice clean rooms and facilities. Good bar and breakfast was brilliant. Gym was impressive. Felt very comfortable and safe. Highlight was the staff, everyone was very friendly and helpful but I want to shout out Dylan especially for exemplary service.

WiFi was really, really poor. Very disappointing for the cost and it made the stay more stressful than it needed to be. This really let the hotel down given that everything else was very good. Also, I picked the hotel for the sauna but it was nowhere near hot enough even at maximum temperature- massive disappointment.

Excellent location with great views from restaurants and pool area on roof. Very nice, helpful staff with good english language abilities. Good breakfast with lots of food to choose from. Mercure hotel designated area on beach with chairs and umbrellas right in front of hotel was good. Nice small restaurant/bar on roof with views over Copacabana. Nicely furnished and comfortable room.

Had to get a maintenance person to reprogramme safe in room before i could set code and use it. Only two clothes hangers in closet. Both problems dealt with promptly.
