From the moment we arrived, we were extremely impressed by the customer service at this hotel. Nav was so lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible dealing with all our requests on check-in professionally and with such a friendly and pleasant attitude. On checkout, Lorena was an absolute pleasure to deal with also. In fact, every member of staff we interacted with was a credit to the hotel. We chose this hotel as it was convenient to pick up and return our rv from CanaDream rentals and it is within walking distance of the Crossirons Mill Mall and convenient for Calgary airport. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Pool and slide were nice. Breakfast was also good.

I was mistakenly charged for someone elses stay too. I had to contact the property and notify them. It took awhile to get them to understand situation. All ended up ok, I got back the money after calling for few times and emailing them, but to be honest, customer service in this regard did not really go above and beyond. Don't get me wrong, everybody I talked to were polite, and I understand that mistakes happen, but simple "we are sorry for the inconvenience we caused" would go far - no, I didn't got any apology at all, which I believe is the minimum expectancy in this kind of situations. I felt "dealt with", and moved on. So advice to everybody is to always check your card statement few times after you stay at any place for "unexpected" charges. Mistakes do happen.

Front desk- (Gaylene)sp? exception service kind, welcoming, efficient, accommodating she was lovely and outstanding at her job she should be rewarded for being an outstanding employee of Days Inn Balzac. Breakfast - Delicious continental breakfast and worker also very accommodating and kind. Room- Comfortable but needs better cleaning and vacuuming as room was dirty.

Cleanliness of room was subpar requires better wiping of hair and in bathroom and vacuuming of carpet which was filthy. Shampooing and more thoroughness required.

Upon check-in, the receptionist took my bank card and manually wrote down all the details, which felt unusual and unexpected. When I asked why, he explained it was in case of any potential damages, even though a deposit had already been taken for that purpose. This practice left me uncomfortable, as I still don’t understand why it was necessary to collect personal banking information in this way.

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.

The pool was so overcrowded. The waterslide had 30 kids on the actual slide so dangerous. Upon checking in I find out we can't use the discount of being with the hockey tournament for the room after I already paid. The app offered upgrades then there was none available. Kids were running in the halls well after 10 pm. There is a gross looking bench area across from the main doors that definitely needs improvements.

The front desk lady was lovely, efficient and had a special valentines package filled with romantic inspiration and fun. Thank you. There were luggage carts which always makes things easier and we arrived to a very clean room with modern decor and excellent lighting options for function and ambiance.

Unfortunately the snow removal contractors where using very loud and ineffective gas powered snow blowers before 8:30 am. Not really anything you did wrong, that's what they seem to do these days,...shovel anyone??

We booked for its location near CanaDream RV rental as we only needed a bed for one night. Also the pool and slide for the kids was handy. The breakfast we thought was fab and great to be included in the price. The suite was spacious and nice to have two separate sleeping areas particularly when with jet lag we may not all be sleeping the same amount.

We did arrive earlier than check-in - about 2pm. We have booked a suite and had just come off a 7.5 hour flight from the UK so were very tired. A room wasn’t ready so waited in the lobby. Front of desk did say they would let us know when it was ready and we were in their immediate eyeline but as it got to almost 4pm I went back to the desk who then said the room was ready. I just fell good customer service might have been a bit more responsive or proactive.

This is a new property, so everything is clean,modern and working. Efficient, quiet A/C. Very good size room with huge, very comfortable bed. The room also had a sofa, so you don't have to sit on the bed to watch the TV. Very good indoor swimming pool with a circular tube water slide for kids. Breakfast is included in the price, and is pretty much the standard buffet you get everywhere. NOTE.... there is no restaurant and no shuttle to the airport, but this is made clear in the description. If you need one or both then look elsewhere. There is a microwave in the room if you just want to reheat some food you bring yourself.

The kids loved the slide and the breakfast, having the separated pull out couch and 2nd TV let us stay up comfortably once they were sleeping. Staff were friendly and check in and out was quick and easy.

The AC unit was poorly insulated and there was a draft from around it, being right beside the bed it was pretty chilly overnight. The mall is the only real place to get food nearby if you have kids and can't go to the casino. Sidewalks were not shoveled so we had to carry luggage over the snow drifts forming on their walkways.

Love that there was an option for 2 separate bedrooms within the same unit. Separate AC controls was a bonus. Location was perfect for the itinerary we had.

Some metal parts around the pool's slide was rusty and the shower handle beside the slide was broken. Wish the mini fridge wasn't in a cabinet. We had to keep the cabinet open because it gets hot while closed.
