Big and spacious. Stayed in a Two Bedroom cottage. 1 bedroom with its own ensuite upstairs and the 2nd bedroom with Bathroom, kitchen, & living area downstairs. Location out of town, make it very quiet and peaceful, and we seen a black bear one morning, 2 chalets down from us and heard a Coyote another morning. Some great hikes straight off the accommodation. We also had the Northern lights appear one night and as the accommodation was outside of town we were able to view them whilst sitting on the balcony.

Furnishing (lounge & carpet) are a bit outdated, but very minor issue.

We had a wonderful experience with BanffGate! The staff was very friendly and our chalet was tidy and clean upon arrival. Parking is available right in front of each chalet. The view of the mountains from our deck was incredible! As a group of 5 we felt we had plenty of room and we weren't on top of each other - we stayed in a deluxe 2br cabin. We didn't spend much time here as we were out hiking most of the day, but coming home to a hot shower with good water pressure and possibly the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on was fantastic. The lodge offers movie and game rentals as well, great ways to unwind. I would definitely stay here again!

Nothing - even the weather was incredible!

Another great stay at Banff Gate Resort. Very comfy, quiet, and well-appointed. We had 4 adults and a 10-month old child for a 2-week stay and all of us had a wonderful time. Location may seem a bit remote, but is only a few minutes to Canmore and only a short drive to Banff. Excellent hiking trails right from the property. Staff kept the paths and streets safe and clear even through several snow storms. Used deck for playing in the snow - grandson loved it! Used BBQ several times to prepare dinner. May not be the most elegant place to stay, but it is a fantastic value and we will be back.

Disappointed that the indoor pool and sauna was not available. Option of using pool in town was not convenient.

This was our first time visiting this area and it took my breath away. The resort was perfectly located up the base of a small mountain, surrounded by mountains and wonderfully secluded. The cabin was so clean and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with every appliance and supply needed to enjoy a family vacation. We loved making our coffee and just staring out the large windows at the mountains each morning. The cabins were big enough that we comfortably had our siblings and nieces and nephews in for games and meals without feeling crowded. We couldn't stop talking about how we wanted to bring our extended families here next year. The staff were very kind and helpful.

It is so hard to think of anything we disliked or would have changed. If I had to pick something, it would be that the lighting in the upstairs suite felt a bit dim, just not having overhead lights BUT, the lamps and lights on the wall were absolutely lovely still. Just had a very warm and relaxing glow all the time. So if that's a negative, that's it.

The resort itself is well-maintained, and the chalets are cozy and comfortable, giving you that warm, home-away-from-home feeling. Whether you’re sitting outside enjoying the fresh mountain air or relaxing inside by the fireplace, there’s a sense of serenity that makes you feel completely at ease. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional hospitality. The staff were all very friendly, approachable, and helpful throughout our visit. It’s clear that they genuinely care about making guests feel welcome and well taken care of. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely recommend Banff Gate Mountain Resort to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic, and relaxing getaway in the mountains. We’re already looking forward to coming back again in the future!

This is our second time visiting Banff Gate Mountain Resort in winter with our 2 young children and we were so excited to come back! The cabins are warm and inviting and are always impeccably clean. We love the games room in the main lodge, picking out board games, DVDs, etc. to bring back to our cabin, the pool of course (especially the outdoor hot tub) and the hiking trail by the main entrance is magical. Thank you for this wonderful space! We've already created so many wonderful memories here and plan to return annually <3

The only minor suggestion I have is to offer thinner pillows in the rooms as we find the current ones much too high. It's an easy solution for us to bring our own next time though.

We booked a last minute trip to Canada over New Year’s and knew nothing about the area. Boy, did we luck out at the Banff Gate Mountain Resort! The location was perfect. It was remote enough to have a gorgeous view but not too far from anything. Staff was terrific and helpful. Place was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We were so pleasantly surprised to find the giant tub also in the cabin. Was great for us to soak after a long day outside. We will definitely be back!

Nothing! Everything was great!

Loved the location of our cabin. It was close to Canmore and Banff, but we loved the remoteness of where we stayed. We even saw a grizzly bear grazing on dandelions just 20 yards from our cabin. As for the cabin itself, I don’t even know where to start. We loved everything about it. It was huge and my husband and I joked that it would be a perfect size home for us when we retire. It was extremely clean and everything was modern and up-to-date. Kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were probably my favorite of eveything. They were the comfiest beds we have ever slept in. It made it hard to wake up every morning. I have zero complaints and would absolutely stay here again.

Blew our minds wonderfully. We needed a two-bedroom facility and boy did they meet our every desire. These are individual cabins spread up a hill side with fantastic views of the surround Canadian Rockies. We were lucky enough to get cabin 45 which is above the others and has an unobstructed view of mountains and the adjoining field where we could view local wildlife. The cabin had upstairs and downstairs private bedrooms with associated bathrooms. Upper bath had jetted tub, lower had shower/tub. Beds were luxurious in every respect, slept like a rock. The facility has a large pool and both indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Also, children's play areas, and various adult game options. Main lodge is very spacious and could be used for conference, wedding etc. Local hiking trails are not overly steep. The kitchen was very well stocked and would support a long stay. Groceries and the like are in Canmore about 15km away- also a very good place for dining and shopping. Full electronics are available in the living room area. BBQ on deck.

Actually, nothing. Even though spendy- felt got more value than nearly any other place have stayed in my 74 years.

It was peaceful and the view was beautiful. They had a lot of things you can do while staying there. We enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi and the pool. The cabins were spacious. We loved how we can cook in the kitchen all kitchenware you need is there. Ot would be nice if they had a rice cooker.

It would have been nice to have 2 showers, ours have just 1 and the bathroom on the 2nd floor only had a tub on it but the jets weren’t functioning. Parking signs per cabin would be helpful, we were given different instructions on where to park, one told us we can park between the cabins, then on our third day someone else was parking there and we were told we were supposed to park in-front of our cabin.
