I brought my daughter for her 40th birthday and started our stay by having a picnic out in the courtyard in the beautiful surroundings of this amazing setting in the mountians. Then we spent the afternoon at the wonderful Nordic spa... what a beautiful experience with all the hot and cold pools, saunas and steam baths... loved the exfoliation steam bath!!! Then went for dinner at Forte. Funny thing that when we arrived at the hotel, I had dropped the birthday cake and the bakers at Forte had beautifully put the cake back together better than what I had made it and Maryanne, our server, brought it out after dinner with all the candles on it. It was fantastic and all the guests sitting around us sang Happy Birthday. Thank you to the bakery department and also thank you so much to Maryanne for her exceptional service! Also the food was fantastic... I had the tagliatelle with the beef and my daughter had the risotto with a steak cooked perfectly! Thank you! The next day, we got a late checkout so we could enjoy a walk, with the outstanding mountain views, after we had the delicious breakfast buffet! Our stay was wonderful and we would definitely come again... thank you!

All the staff were amazing but we really want to point out Rachel at bell service. She should be given a leadership role or commended for her customer service and just overall amazing energy. She is an amazing ambassador for the Pomeroy and we will be visiting again due to the positive impression she left on our family and kids!

Woody’s tap house was a terrible experience and we will never eat at that restaurant again. The service was very poor. We had to ask for menus, water was never refilled during our entire time, there was hair in my spouse’s burger (which they did replace but the whole family was done eating), and generally the atmosphere was not welcoming. It was just such a contrast to the service and atmosphere we experience at Forte and the other restaurants. We were very disappointed about this dining experience.

The location is stunning but the hotel overall is dated, definitely not worth $400+ a night.

The hotel is dated, there isn’t very good air circulation in the room, the bed was very uncomfortable. I wasn’t aware of the roof construction until after I booked. There’s room for improvement such as adding menus and hours of the restaurants in the room. The outlets didn’t work and the coffee machine leaked. We couldn’t cast our laptop to the tv, so we ended up watching tv on our laptop. No minimal hygiene products like every other hotel out there such as q-tips, towelettes, etc. There were no snacks in the vending machine, only drinks. I wouldn’t pay this price to stay here again - especially as that didn’t include the spa.

It's worth it to stay here mainly for the location! Can't beat a quick commute to your room after a day at the spa. Staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring our luggage got to our room as we couldn't check in until after the spa day. There are lots of activities and sights around the hotel although we didn't do much beyond the spa.

The actual hotel is not the greatest for the price point, you are paying for location and easy access to the spa. The rooms are fairly dated and the shower was one of the worst I've experienced - just not what you would expect for a luxury resort hotel. But the location is worth it! Room service was decently affordable and great service! Just a note that you don't get any deals or special benefits at the spa for staying here, other than not having to drive home at the end of the day! Not a complaint but just a heads up.

It is very nice place and is connected to a beautiful forest where you can walk and ride bicycles. The rooms were comfortable and clean. By itself, it was a great experience and very relaxing Their breakfast is OK and the coffee is as well good. At night, the sky is very clear and the stars are very beautiful and gorgeous. It was my first time to see stars in this clarity. It was magical.

The only downtown to this place is That it is very far and you need your own car to transfer between one place to another or you’ll have to pay very high prices for the taxi to get in and out to Banff or other places. And if you do not enjoy hiking or exploring nature, maybe don’t choose this place because it’s solely made for this reason and for relaxation

Beautiful surroundings , staff were friendly and facilitating from the get go , special thanks to Joe at the front desk who checked us in. Plenty of trails to walk around in the vicinity of the hotel as well as a Nordic spa on site. Plenty of restaurants to choose from as well as a coffee shop. Great information from the concierge who was very friendly and obliging.

When we checked in to our first room there was a strong smell of dog and the toilet door was broken, when mentioned to staff they did facilitate us and give us a new room. Pet rooms should be separately allocated in case a hotel guest has allergies. The next day the bed was made but we noticed the sheets had not been changed, when paying close to 400 euro a night this is the least that's expected. Overall not good value for money. The Nordic spa is included in the hotel pictures but is a separate entity and requires payment and bookings. There was a loose fan that rattled loudly when the aircon was on prompting us to turn it off.

The hot tub that leads outside was amazing particularly at night in the dark with lights. The kids pool was also excellent ....and well used! The foyer has a lot of games that were used by a lot of families and it is a great spot to sit in front of a lovely fire. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The activities for New Year's Eve were also great fun. It was also lovely being able to have a dog at the hotel and there were a lot of dogs but they were all well behaved and beautiful.

Cannot think of anything.

The facilities and activities planned for the day. Really liked the oprions available for food and drinks. We didnt need to step out of the property grounds for the entire stay. Its a fully licensec property so you could walk around anywhere with your alcoholic drink. Also appreciated the heads up for nordic spa closure due to renovation and the roof shingle repairs.

Everything was great. Maybe increased hours for the blacktail bar, especially for those coming in early and just waiting for 4 PM check in. Would be nice to have the bar open a couple hours before 4 PM. But its not a deal breaker!

I love how reasonable this hotel is for families with kids under 6, in relation to food. The kids eat free at the bar and at the buffet (if the paretns are eating as well). The kids LOVE the pool--real GREAT family hotel There is a lot of events and activities happening to entertain people of all ages

For one night, including taxes, I paid just under $600 for a basic room. That is a HUGE cost. We would come more but the price is just astronomical. for a standard room, this is one of the MOST expensive rooms in Alberta.
