If you are traveling (flying) out of Edmonton it is difficult to beat the Renaissance Edmonton hotel … especially in the depths of winter. There is nothing better than catching an early morning flight when you don’t even need to go outside … just walk from your hotel room directly to the departure area … no bulky winter coat … no taxi or shuttle necessary. It is an exceptional facility with great staff and very good rooms. The dining room is excellent and reception is extremely helpful.

I like the location, easy access to airport, the softness of the mattress. Complementary 2 bottled mineral water. BTW, i flip the mattress and No Bed Bugs Found.

It is costly. Aside from above-mentioned and plus the fancy restaurants, if you will focus in the room which I believe is more important than other amenities- there is nothing that really stands out that makes it special or different from other nearby hotels. The mattress is soft. The bathroom has no special things in there, from the soap to the towels they use - its no different. Ergonomically, the towel hangers are quite far from the shower door.

Close proximity to the airport. Modern facilities.

We did not spend much time here. Arrived late evening and left very early at 4 am to catch our flight. We were dropped off and because of airport construction, this was confusing. The parking lot was the only drop off area available and we ended up being inconvenienced by having to walk inside to get a card in order get the car out of the parking lot. I’m assuming that will resolve itself as the construction gets completed. Also, with hotel entrance being at the parking lot level, it was not marked or obvious where the lobby reception was. We did find it of course but signage may have helped. Again, a construction issue, I’m sure.

Very convenient when we landed on a very late flight. This hotel is connected to the airport terminal. Our check-in was very smooth. The staff were very friendly. Coffee bar was available in the lobby which was a nice touch.

Breakfast wasnt included, unless you were a platinum Marriott Bonvoy member.

Great as a hotel the night before a flight. The rooms are big, beds are comfy and also the restaurants offer good food for fair prices. Staff is very friendly. The hotel is directly connected to the check-in which makes everything - like a car drop off - so much easier. Day Parking included.

Knowing that their hotel is next to an airstrip they could have isolated their walls better. We could hear the neighbours talking and it felt like the airplanes took off in our room. Overnight Parking would not have been included (15 Dollar per night).

We were unsure of whether we should spend that much but the ease in the morning for our early flight made it so worth it.. the location is perfect! We had dinner at the bar.. it was delicious and the bar tender was friendly and great at his job. We will definitely stay again!

Our only suggestion would be bottled water in the room. I had to go back down to buy some as assumed there would be water provided!

The location was literally steps from the terminal. It was extremely convenient for me with a very early flight. I woke up and headed over to the checkin of my departure and it took about 10 minutes door to desk.

I wasn't there long enough to find things I didn't like so for a short stay it was 99.9% excellent.

Room service was effective and quick to respond to requests.

The noise from other guests could be heard in my room. As a paying guest at the hotel I should not be charged extra for parking.

This is truly an awesome hotel!! Very upscale decore, trendy furniture and fixtures an awesome art gallery/display and located literally a few steps from the airport. We were in room 520 and it took 6 minutes to get from our room to the domestic departures luggage check. The hotel has an awesome bar, club and library located within it. Attached at the airport departures area is also a Tim's, Circle K, Great Canadian Brewhouse and a few other places to eat. Comfy beds, quiet, clean rooms with lots to do all around the grounds, conveniently attached to the airport and all for well under $200 at the time we stayed. We would highly, highly recommend this place especially at that price point.

The main floor is actually the second floor which is attached to the airport. However, when you drive to the hotel you actually enter on the first floor. More signage is definitely needed to guide you to the main desk as it was a bit difficult to figure out where you should be going when entering from the parking lot. A very minor complaint though.
