A great little spot very close to the main strip of Tofino! Nothing is far in Tofino though and you can easily walk to the main area from this location. The hosts were lovely and very accommodating and had put us in a second floor room with a covered deck area (common space) and a view of the water. The room was much bigger than we anticipated with a seating area. The TV was on an arm that we could adjust to sit on the couch or lay in bed. It was very cozy and a nice spot to relax with the windows open when it was a torrential down pour ! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others :)

Meares Vista Inn is a gem in Tofino. The comfort - is excellent, and the location is beautiful. Our room had a view of a lake, and it was clean, quiet, and pet-friendly. The staff were appreciative and approachable. The neighbors in the building were very friendly as well. There's a laundry facility available for your washing needs and an excellent café just down the road—access to a BBQ and dishes, an honor system to clean up after your usage. You're also just minutes away from several beautiful beaches. We had a relaxing and enjoyable trip. Thank you, Meares Vista Inn, for having us! We would love to come back!

Some of the surf shops in town are a bit snobby. It's not the hotel's fault, Ucluelet had the friendliest people, helpful, and we felt bad about the older man next door sitting alone in the restaurant. He looked like he needs a friend.

Tofino is on Vancouver Island's stunning west coast. There are miles of forests, mountains and beaches and I seemed to have it all to myself. It was beautiful even when the clouds were hanging on the tree-tops (which they do a lot there). The hotel is basically a motel but an up-market one. The room was very nice and comfortable with friendly staff.

Tofino is only a small town but it is on the tourist route and the nightlife is not that plentiful. Did manage to find somewhere and get a decent meal though (the Shed restaurant). The inn could be better signed. The only sign from the road I saw was one going OUT of town and not into it.

While I found accommodation costs in the Tofino area to be high, this hotel was reasonably priced, in a convenient location a short drive from downtown. The room was very pleasant either a large comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom and good amenities, including a fridge, microwave, kettle etc. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and responsive, for example by printing a document for me. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.

Just a minor suggestion: blinds on the windows that shut out te light would have been welcome, as light came in through the blinds throughout the night. I could hear guests walking around and watching tv in the room above me, but overall the room was very quiet.

The room was a generous size & had obviously been recently updated. There was a lovely communal eating area outside, great for those who wanted to meet fellow travellers. Unfortunately, we didn’t have great weather, so didn’t use it on this occasion. Vicky our host was great & responded really quickly to any queries we had. Tofino is lovely, a great place to visit.

Nothing - it was slightly out of the main area, but only a short walk down the Main Street (some may prefer this).

It was priced well for the location. It was a no-frills place, but the important things were great - comfortable beds, good pillows/linens, clean, great shower. I didn't try the shampoo/conditioner provided, but the little soap bars smelled amazing! There was a small fridge and microwave.

The little futon couch in the seating area didn't seem like it would be comfortable to sleep on (we didn't need it for that but if it was needed not sure it would be good for an adult, fine for a child or two).

Great location just before downtown Tofino. Check in was quick and easy. The owner was so pleasant and had good input about what to try and what to avoid while in town. Most importantly it was clean!!! Cleanliness is one of my top priorities. I liked the paint colors and simple aesthetic. Cute communal space with BBQ.

The bathroom door didn’t latch in our unit- it wasn’t a big deal though. The instructions to get to the cable channels didn’t completely make sense. There were two remotes and I believe the wording of one of the steps was wrong because there was no icon to select as described (said live tv not Telus tv) We figured it out regardless but that could be difficult for someone else. Could use another towel in room as well! There was a large freezer in the BBQ space. I wasn’t sure if that was part of the shared space as well so perhaps stating that in the binder with other room details would be good!

Location! Right by the public trail/bike path and close to town & beaches. Overlooks the cove. Exceptionally clean. So quiet! We loved our stay here. Our room was beautifully renovated, clean, and bright with ocean view from our room. Amazing communal spaces for dinners or glass of wine overlooking the cove. The owners are so friendly and attentive. We felt so safe, cared for and appreciated as a customer too.

(Sadly the adjoining property is rundown and derelict vehicles and fencing can be seen, but this is no fault to the owners of this place!)

Had a kitchen set up on the shared balcony with BBQ, freezer, utensils,. Loved that. The room was also spotless. Very clean. That's a big deal.

It was off season and not a big deal but I wasn't sure they were going to clean the room the next morning (we stayed two days). I put my garbage outside the door and recycling. They changed that but didn't clean the room. Not that this is a big deal to us. We loved our stay. It has a great vibe, good location and friendly staff.

Attractive hotel on the coast. The front door led straight to the veranda and we could park our car close to the steps making it very convenient to bring our luggage to the room. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. Home comforts of a kettle and microwave was useful. The views from the veranda across to Meares Island were amazing. A 20 minute walk to the little town with restaurants. Shelter restaurant was less than that to walk to and had views over the sea to Meares Island.
