We had the best time staying at the beautiful Inn. We were only staying two nights, but the room we were in was the prettiest of all the others. We could see the ocean and the mountains in the very back. It was quiet. The breakfast is excellent and everything is homemade. Also the location is very convenient. We will definitely go back. Thank you!

Everything was brilliant

Staying here was wonderful, welcoming, relaxing, and peaceful. It allowed me a richer experience of Victoria by getting to experience a neighborhood. I have not stayed at many B&Bs but am confident anyone would find this place among the top!

It added to the cost to be farther from downtown. As a first time visitor I felt I should have opted for closer in. This location is technically walking distance - and a nice walk at that, but a bit much depending on how much other walking you have planned. Having now explored downtown, I'm likely to stay here again and branch out in different directions for further exploration. It was super fun to stay in this beautiful neighborhood and house!

Gorgeous view of garden, soaking tub was great on blustery day. The room was huge, the bed comfortable rooms exceptionally clean. The area quiet and close to government house grounds which offer nice nature walks. Sylvia is a gracious and generous hostess. She offered great restaurant recommendations, going so far as to give us tips for our trip to Salt Spring Island (which were great). The Inn itself is lovely, quiet and offers a fantastic, if large, breakfast consisting of two courses. I highly recommend staying here, I will schedule my next visit around getting reservations here again.

We loved breakfast every morning. I'm pregnant and they accommodated my needs which was sweet. Delicious and fast and different every day! Our room was incredible--the big jacuzzi bath was so nice. Just a heads up that it 'self cleans' and it's unclear why it starts while you're still in the bath..but it only lasts a minute. Our bed was so comfortable and I think the sheets are Egyptian cotton? In any case.. so soft! We loved everything about this place including the gardens and friendly deer that visit. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Being able to control the temperature in the room. It wasn't too warm in there but I'm just a bit sensitive at the moment because I'm pregnant--we opened the windows at night to get some fresh air, and since it's an older building there was creaking and some noise due to the changing temperature. Nothing too disturbing though.

I was made to feel welcome by the staff member who greeted me when I arrived a bit early. The food at breakfast was wonderful! I really enjoyed Sylvia's not-too-sweet blueberry muffins and the egg blossom was beautiful and delicious. It was nice that she took time to come and engage in friendly conversation with myself and 4 other guests toward the end of our meal. The breakfast room and tables looked lovely and the silverware was a very nice touch. The room was a bit smaller (as I anticipated) but the high ceilings and beautiful bathroom made it feel roomier.

While it was fabulous seeing the deer, squirrels and birds right outside the window, being on the ground floor left me feeling a little exposed when people walked right by. I believe the rest of the rooms are on higher floors, so this is unique to this quaint and still very enjoyable room.

The breakfast was exceptional. The size of the room was as expected for an older facility. but charming. I downgraded the location slightly but only due to driving a full size truck. Getting in and out of the entrance provided a problem for me and my size vehicle (F350 diesel) Regular autos would be fine. Sylvia was the best host we have met and extremely knowledgable of the area.

Everything was top of the line. I highly recommend staying there.

Sylvia and the Fairhome Bed and Breakfast were fantastic. Sylvia is friendly, welcoming, and makes sure her guests are well cared for. The location right next to a 17 hectare garden was lovely. We enjoyed being close to downtown and easy access to travel without being in the loud, touristy area. The grounds are beautiful and the penthouse suite was spacious and comfortable. We will stay here again when we return to Victoria.

Fairholme Manor is one of those rare places that exceeds expectations! The inn is beautiful and the gardens are lovely! Our suite was stunning and huge! The ceilings were 14 feet tall with gorgeous trim, a fireplace, and a very large 2-room bathroom suite! Sylvia and Ross Main are tremendous hosts, and Sylvia is a phenomenal chef! Every breakfast was a gourmet, 3-course delight! Be sure to buy her fabulous cookbook as she shares many of her recipes in it! Sylvia makes you feel special, and she gives great tips for places to eat and things to do in Victoria. Fairholme Manor is in the beautiful, quiet Rockland neighborhood, and a quick 5-10 minute drive to downtown. We loved our stay!! It made our trip to Victoria beyond special!! Highly recommend staying here!

There isn’t a thing we didn’t like!

Sylvia and Ross are outstanding hosts and they helped with every question we had. The offered breakfast was sensational, lovingly decorated with fresh flowers from the beautiful garden and freshly baked or cooked. We enjoyed the hospitality at this beautiful place very much, thanks so much for this. Even the deers who visited the garden every day felt comfortable here

The bathroom was quite small in our suite.

The breakfast was amazingly good. It was far and away the best breakfast of our two week trip to British Columbia. The apartment we stayed in was spacious and a lot of thought was put into the small details. For example, there was cold water ready for us in the fridge, and a cosy soft blanket and a fan were both provided, which we haven’t found in most other places we have stayed on our trip. The fireplace also kept us very nice and cosy. The surrounding gardens were also gorgeous.
