Located in a great neighborhood in a beautiful heritage house with lovely grounds. Our room was on garden level with private entrance. Very quite and comfortable. Cozy king bed.

Breakfast room was above our room but we are early risers so noise really wasn’t an issue and to be expected in an old house.

Quaint B&B. Located in a beautiful area around some historic homes.

The bathroom is very dated. I would replace the bathroom basin which is kind of cracked and old and actually let’s the place down a little. The bed sheet had a small tear in it (which worry us).

The breakfast was fabulous. The terrace outside the dining room was our preferred venue for eating. It was incredibly pleasant overlooking the beautiful garden. The garden was lovely and so well maintained. We would sit in the middle of it in comfy outdoor seating at end of our sightseeing day and enjoy a glass of wine. Location was great. Right across from Government House which has an exquisite and extensive garden. We walked there every morning. We had our bikes with us, so it was a quick ride to get on to dedicated bike lanes to the city and elsewhere.

It was a charming building, the suite we stayed in had two bedrooms and a grand bathroom suite with a large jacuzzi tub and beautiful vanity area. It also had a small kitchenette which is perfect for preparing small meals. A grocery store is on walking distance. It’s settled in a lovely area of Victoria away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas, yet still close enough to experience everything you’d like.

It wasn’t a con for me, however, our room was on the very top floor, there were many stairs throughout the property and does not appear to have options for someone who may struggle with mobility, or uses a wheelchair.

We stayed in the biggest room at the top of the inn. If you have mobility problems and don't like stairs, don't book that room! The bathroom had a huge tub with a skylight and I made use of it after long hours of walking. Great views, about 30 minutes walking to the Empress and only 10 or 15 minutes to other amenities. There is a really nice park very close to the property also that was nice for after dinner walks. Friendly staff and they accommodated my SIL's request for gluten free bread. I would highly recommend this place, very quiet and well kept.

Linda L was an amazing hostess! We came in late, we were hungry, and Linda rustled up some delicious big croissants and yogurt for us. The breakfast in the morning was beautifully laid out, delicious, fresh fruit, perfectly cooked eggs, meats & cheeses, various potatoes, jams & jellies, juices, museli, granolas, yogurt. Excellent coffee. Also, available 24/7 were teas, coffee, hot chocolate, breakfast bars, and juices. The location was terrific, the room was enormous, with big windows and a balcony, the bathroom was a ballroom sized museum piece. All sparkling clean. Immaculate. Quiet well kept garden around the building. The neighborhood is quiet. Easy 7-minute car ride to Fisherman's Wharf & the ferry dock.

The property is a beautiful historic mansion right around the corner from the lovely Government House (definitely go for a walk around the grounds). Our room, the Fonthill Chamber, was large and comfortable. King-size bed, huge bathtub and bathroom, a little kitchenette area. We loved the historic charm of the decor. Everything was clean and tidy. The absolute highlight, aside from the warm hospitality, was the incredible breakfast. There were different items on each of the two mornings we were there...fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, oatmeal, eggs, sausage/bacon, potatoes, hash browns, pancakes, french toast, candied salmon, cheese, meat...and one morrning there were fresh, warm croissants!! There are also snacks always available with tea/coffee/hot chocolate and juice. One evening we walked down to the beach to enjoy the sunset...about a 15 minute walk.

Everything was so lovely.

the westminster chamber was perfect for our friends who came on trip with us. the king bed was very comfortable an the second bedroom double was great. nice living room with fireplace an a wonderful balcony that had view of the water an mountains with beautiful sunsets. the kitchenette was great to have. the bathroom was good size too. the breakfast buffet was wonderful with alot of choices. the staff was very friendly an very helpful. would stay again 10 stars.

Really nice athmosphere and Linda is a really friendly and welcomming hostess. Free thee/hot chocolate and wearthers original candies in the lobby is a great extra thouch. Very spacious room and bathroom. There is a microwave, fridge, coffeemachine in the room to use. Good breakfast with pretty and tasty salmon and pastries. Quit and safe neighbourhood and we could walk downtown in 20 minutes.

The only thing that we are not used to is that there is no shower. There was a great big jacuzzi, that did had a handshower, however you needed to sit in the jacuzzi if you only wanted to use the showerhead instead of taking a bath. We are just not used to this but the bath is enormous.

Beautiful property. Surrounded by other beautiful homes. They had a great breakfast and even fresh flowers, which was a nice touch. We stayed in the Fonthill Chamber room. It was spacious and comfortable. No air conditioning but that is to be expected in older B&B’s.

The only real issue for my husband was that this room did not have a shower. There was a large tub with a shower head and hose attached next to the faucet, but it wasn’t the same as having a shower. I appreciated having the tub.
