Wilma has trained the best staff in Ontario. This is our favorite Barrie Hotel. Many thanks to all of the expert professional employees. It was interesting to have a room with two bunk beds as well as a Queen size bed in a separate room. The temperature throughout the Hotel was perfect. The swimming pool water was warm and inviting. Going to McRae Point Provincial Park for June 14 weekend and will drop by to see Wilma on Sunday.

The window double drapes need to be closed after the Sun heat of the West setting Sun. Otherwise the East side of the Hotel is cooler and no A/C is required.

Right off the 400. Plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. If you are into shopping, you can shop till you drop. Even though you are about 3 short blocks from the 400, I never heard any noise from it. The hotel also has a indoor pool, so even if it is snowing out, you can relax at pool side. There is a full breakfast every morning, but unfortunately it doesn't have a in house restaurant, so breakfast is all that they do.

I had the jaquisie suite, so I didn't have to go down to the pool. The rooms seem to be sound proofed, so you don't hear the neighbours, They allow food delivery, so you can order in so depending on the weather, you don't have to go out to eat.

Room was dated, but there was everything I needed, even some small toiletries and very soft towels. Breakfast was good and I enjoyed the waffles. Price was very competitive and I thought, I got very good value for money. Staff was friendly, reception, kitchen and even house keeping. Everyone was visible and my impression was that they take good care of the place. If you need to do some shopping, there's Walmart and other stores, also Wendy's and some fast food places. Obviously, it's not sightseeing location, close to the main artery, but it's quiet. Good stopover between Toronto airport and my next stop in Muskoka.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The staff was all friendly helpful, and took good care of the facilities and the guests. Can't beat the location, it is near restaurants, movie theaters, grocery stores, liquor stores, and Costco. Also is very close to to Hwy 400 if you need to hit the road weather to see the great up North or just beautiful downtown Barrie & Centennial Beach. The rooms have anything you need, a full 3pc bathroom, fridge microwave, coffee maker, (cable) TV, phone, internet access, table and chairs to dine, and comfy beds. Almost forgot to mention there is an AC/ heater unit in every room. There are also laundry facilities, a swimming pool, and breakfast served daily between 7 and 10 am. I found it to be the best value for the price and would stay again.

I didn't get a chance to try the pool. There is not anything I can fault the facilities or staff for other than maybe recommending guests avoid busy times for pool use, laundry use, and breakfast. To be clear I never had issues waiting for anything and there was plenty of food to go around. Just noticed some busy times. The only other thing I could ask for is sleep number adjustable beds or massage chairs, but not possible for this value.

Wilma is the only reason for the Best restful, stress free stay at Her Magnificent Resort. The warm welcome from all staff like Kofa is greatly appreciated. The Chef prepared a delicious hot and cold buffet breakfast with scrambled eggs and delicious juicy sausages. The Olympic swimming pool just down the road in Markham is always cold so I really enjoyed the warm Super 8 pool. For Lunches and Dinner my team walked across the street to the Farm Boy Grocery store for ready to eat meals. For all toiletries and miscellaneous items, we all walked to the Dollarama store. Double Queen bedroom was large with a medium soft mattress. Great soaker tub and shower, quiet flush water closet.

McDonald's, Montana's, East Side Mario's, Tim Hortons and Wendy's are all within walking distance . Location to all Highways is greatly accessible. Thank you from the bottom of my Heart for the most copacetic cohesive Team Ever.

Wilma the Front desk Manager is the only reason we stay at Super 8 Hotel by Wyndham Barrie South. She gave me a Suite with 2 Queens on the Fourth floor in room #422 overlooking the Fabulous Gourmet Farm Boy. Both beds were Comfy. Large LG T.V. Good Cable channels and WIFI. Very quiet and respectful guests on all floors.

The swimming pool is always warm and refreshing when doing Aquafit. The exercise room was fun when I worked out. Excellent breakfast variety of hot and cold options.

People smoking dope somewhere on the floor. Not hotels fault.

Wilma gave us a warm welcome and checked us in quickly to #415 facing East with views of the highway 400 and the Kempenfelt Bay off of Lake Simcoe. She started when the Super 8 Hotel opened in 2006. Two Queen beds were Medium Beautyrest quality with 3 medium pillows each. Large bathroom with plenty of hot water. A/C was on and whisper quiet, precooled our room to 70°. Pristine clean room and Hotel throughout. Pool may open in June as maintenance is being perfected.

Liked everything. The Location is 13 minutes to Centennial Beach where free Music Festival activities were held May 24,25&26. Location to Food at Farm Boy is across the street for ready to serve Hot and Cold buffet style meals.

We usually stay at the Hampton/Hilton in Barrie. Their room rate has gone up substantially and no longer fits my budget. The Super 8 is well within my budget and the amenities are the same, Wi-Fi, microwave, coffee maker etc. The bonus at the Super 8, was the layout of my room. Being able to close a door to the bedroom was an upgrade for us.

The widow curtains weren't wide enough to fully cover the light that came in, especially when the A/C was going. There was a dog barking at around 10pm, your staff took care of it and things settled down in about 15 minutes.

Large, comfortable, clean rooms. Friendly staff and affordable.

Needs a little sprucing up.
