Hard to believe you can get a big room, indoor pool and breakfast for such a little price. Plenty of food and coffee options nearby. The female staff was friendly. The deposit was returned within a week

There was lots and lots of theatre/back and forth with threats of cancellation prior to the booking because us Europeans tend to use debit cards for everything. It was a real hassle and seemed exaggeraged and ridiculous behaviour to someone who hasn’t experienced this in Europe. They should allow cash deposits as an alternative and not assume that every traveller will trash up the place

My friends and I stayed overnight to go snowboarding at Horseshoe Resort for Friday, February 21 st. I thought the hotel was very appealing. It was bright, clean and had nice decor throughout. The pool was warm and comfortable. My friends and I really enjoyed our hot breakfast with various options to choose from. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous. The price was unbeatable in comparison to other hotels in the area. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you!

The trolley to take our luggage to hotel room was difficult to pull and the bars slipped out of their base. The wheels could use a little grease and bars placed in more securely so they don’t come loose.

The hotel is located perfectly, near highway 400. There are several supermarkets and a gas station nearby. The hotel is very cozy and clean. Everything is sparkling everywhere. The pool is open at the end of December, there are showers and toilets. The room has air conditioning, a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, a TV, an ironing board, an iron, a hair dryer. The shower is clean, there is hot water, two huge beds, a large room, there is a table and a chair. We booked the hotel with breakfast, I recommend it. There were sausages, scrambled eggs, waffles in a frying pan, jams, fruits, yogurt, coffee, tea and juices. The hotel is quiet, the neighbors do not interfere. 24/7 coffee and tea near the reception. The New Year's mood from the decorations, beautiful and festive. Thank you very much for your friendly attitude and a non-smoking room.

Everything is ok

The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable. I particularly like the bed pillows and I usually bring my own when I travel but I don't have to when I stay at the Travelodge. My sister usually takes advantage of using the pool when we're there. When we are in Barrie, we are there for a specific event so we just need a bed and bath. We are usually actually in the Travelodge less than 12 hours total, and 8 of them are when we're sleeping.

Unfortunately, breakfast time is always busy and there is never enough seating. This time, we waited about 15 minutes then returned and found a table for 2 to sit at. There weren't any sausages this time, just eggs and potato hash browns for hot breakfast. I needed to run my bread through the toaster twice as it didn't brown, and that was after I turned up the dial. The waffles are always a hit and again, individual waffles takes a long time to make. It would be nice to have some waffles made in advance, especially knowing in advance that there would be a lot of kids that weekend staying at the hotel. Nice variety of yogurt and bagels but the muffins were quite dry.

The hotel staff was kind and efficient. The hotel was renovated so that was nice. Sheets and blankets were nice and clean and beds comfy. It included a good breakfast. In a good location. Only stayed for the night so didn’t check out the pool.

The coffee was not good. I enjoy a good cup of coffee to start my day The area where breakfast was very small not many seats for many people. There was a nice outdoor space for sitting but was unkept and no chairs provided. Towels did smell of bleach.

The bed was comfortable. The room was a great size, but the only place to sit was on the desk chair that wasn't overly comfortable. There was 2 of us so we had to sit on the bed. A couple of relaxing chairs or a small 2 seater couch would be nice. A grab bar to get out of the tub/shower would be great for safety. There also were no facecloth. We enjoyed our stay in Barrie. Would come back again. Mike & Laurie

I really liked the fact staffed kept communication with us considering we had a late arrival, calling and messaging me to confirm we would still checking in. Great value for a one night stay in the area.

The hotel was quite busy and the breakfast space can not accomodate this size of hotel. Logistics to get food and sitting is quite challenging any time durnig breakfast time.

Good value for money. Room was clean and renovated. All basic amenities like microwave, coffee maker, coffee/tea supplies, hair dryer were available in the room. Beds were comfortable. We stayed for a night during the snowstorm in Ontario and overall our stay was pleasant. Decent options for free breakfast.

Bathroom sink and bathtub drains were getting clogged. Had to wait between turns to use.

For a one-night stay, it had everything we needed. It's an older building but has been refurbished to update the basics like flooring and bathroom fixtures. All of the electronic locks worked really well. Beds were very comfortable, and towels were fluffy and absorbent.

There were only two cups supplied for the room and only one facecloth. We booked for two people. Minor annoyance.

Very easy to locate this hotel from both directions on the highway. Made staying here the perfect rest stop for our day trip to Toronto and returning after our event. The breakfast was fantastic. Several options which made it great for the different members of my family to find something they'd eat.

Having to walk around outside of the building to get to an easier access point to our room. The staff told us which door to go in but then the signage inside the door was not matching what our room number was so this was confusing which lead us to entering through a different door and walking around inside until we found our room.
