Charming historic building, with excellent service. Comfortable beds and breakfast was provided. The room and bathroom were clean, with everything we needed for an overnight stop. They are compact in size, and as an older building, you can hear the movement of other guests. It wasn't a problem for us, to be expected. We would stay there again!

The ambience of the hotel was amazing! It felt like we went back in time to 1871 when the building was constructed. It is charming, cozy and definitely has its own character. The bed was super comfortable and clean. The slanted ceiling and the antique writing desk added a lovely Victorian-style touch to the room's decor. Our window was facing the garden and it was very quiet although we kept the window ajar. The bathroom was spacious and the water ran well and had a good temperature. The breakfast was very good, both variety and taste-wise. There was also water, coffee, tea and light snacks available in the lobby all the time. The sitting room had a fire place and very comfortable sofas and arm-chairs. A fabulous quaint inn!

The mirror on the wall in the room was hung very low - not sure if it was done with a purpose but I had to bend really low in order to look in the mirror, otherwise I could only see up to my shoulders. The tap in the bathroom was a bit difficult to adjust at opening because it was one of the push-and-pull types, so we had to fiddle with it for a few seconds to set the right water pressure and temperature. But these are very minor inconveniences compared to how lovely our overall stay was!

This place makes you feel right at home. It is a charming and well maintained Victorian house, comfortable and functional. Walkable distance to downtown Kingston's main attractions. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Excellent breakfast, all day tea and coffee, and zero waste spirit. Much better value for money that the nearby hotel chains, in terms of experience!

As this is an ancient house, wooden floors tend to creak and rooms next door can be heard. Although the overall environment is peaceful and the neighborhood very quiet!

Check-in was smooth & Rebecca was very welcoming. Our room was lovely & well-equipped with a couple of chairs & a table, somewhere to hang clothes plus a balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had a great shower in the bathroom too. The continental breakfast included in the price was good value for money. There were several good restaurants & cafes within walking distance. We had an amazing meal at Olivea.

The team at the Hochelaga Inn provided all the necessary information about parking beforehand & were very upfront about it. If parking at the hotel is essential, you'll need to get there as early as possible because it was a bit of a nuisance having to find a place on the relevant local street to park, as parking restrictions varied.

Beautiful bed and breakfast in a beautiful part of Kingston. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast area is lovely as well. Good value relative to some of the surrounding accommodations.

Room and bath were fairly unremarkable which, though perfectly comfortable, were a little disappointing relative to the rest of the bed and breakfast itself. The art above the bed looked a bit like it was purchased in bulk from generichotelart.com. Large bathroom but limited space to place any thing. All relatively minor things, but makes it such that we cannot give it a 10/10.

I liked the charm of the hotel and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked really well.

The outside grounds needed to be attended to, shrubs were overgrown and needed trimming desperately as that was a bit of a turn off upon entering the property from the front. The bed mattress was okay but might need to be upgraded because if I had to stay more than 2 nights then my back would be hurting me. We paid the additional $8.00 for the egg /bacon breakfast but the over easy eggs we received were very dried out (yolk was not runny like it should have been) and it took a while for the eggs to arrive, so not sure if they were pre made and just sitting under a heat lamp in the kitchen, but would not order that again.

I loved the exterior of the Inn, and the lounge area was very nice too. I had a nicely decorated spacious room with a comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. My room was in the cottage attached to the main house and had a small balcony looking out to the garden. A nice choice of breakfast foods were on offer and fresh coffee available all day.

The door to my balcony needed some attention as I was unable to use it. The decor in the dining room was a bit regimented, not suiting the era of the house. Garden also needed a little TLC.

Everything was absolutely marvellous, the building itself obviously incredible but the staff was so friendly and professional, special thanks to Shavane (sorry if the spelling is wrong) who helped us out fixing a small problem in no time and giving us complementary bottle of bubbles. We both worked in hospitality and rarely came across this level of professionalism. I highly recommend

Lovely old inn in a quiet location walking distance to town centre. Friendly helpfully staff.

Had to park on street. Had issues with TV which they did sort but it was old style TV with no streaming services. Breakfast area didn't match the style of the Victorian building with plain tables, no table cloths & not much art work. I felt just a little more effort could make this inn outstanding.

We had a great relaxing stay here. The cottage house was so charming. The sitting area in the main building and the garden around it were lovely and well maintained. We loved that it's located in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood near downtown so getting around was convenient and our stay was peaceful.

The amenities and furniture in the room are quiet basic. But we did have everything we needed.
