Charming historic building, with excellent service. Comfortable beds and breakfast was provided. The room and bathroom were clean, with everything we needed for an overnight stop. They are compact in size, and as an older building, you can hear the movement of other guests. It wasn't a problem for us, to be expected. We would stay there again!

Check-in was smooth & Rebecca was very welcoming. Our room was lovely & well-equipped with a couple of chairs & a table, somewhere to hang clothes plus a balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had a great shower in the bathroom too. The continental breakfast included in the price was good value for money. There were several good restaurants & cafes within walking distance. We had an amazing meal at Olivea.

The team at the Hochelaga Inn provided all the necessary information about parking beforehand & were very upfront about it. If parking at the hotel is essential, you'll need to get there as early as possible because it was a bit of a nuisance having to find a place on the relevant local street to park, as parking restrictions varied.

This place makes you feel right at home. It is a charming and well maintained Victorian house, comfortable and functional. Walkable distance to downtown Kingston's main attractions. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Excellent breakfast, all day tea and coffee, and zero waste spirit. Much better value for money that the nearby hotel chains, in terms of experience!

As this is an ancient house, wooden floors tend to creak and rooms next door can be heard. Although the overall environment is peaceful and the neighborhood very quiet!

Beautiful bed and breakfast in a beautiful part of Kingston. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast area is lovely as well. Good value relative to some of the surrounding accommodations.

Room and bath were fairly unremarkable which, though perfectly comfortable, were a little disappointing relative to the rest of the bed and breakfast itself. The art above the bed looked a bit like it was purchased in bulk from generichotelart.com. Large bathroom but limited space to place any thing. All relatively minor things, but makes it such that we cannot give it a 10/10.

I liked the charm of the hotel and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked really well.

The outside grounds needed to be attended to, shrubs were overgrown and needed trimming desperately as that was a bit of a turn off upon entering the property from the front. The bed mattress was okay but might need to be upgraded because if I had to stay more than 2 nights then my back would be hurting me. We paid the additional $8.00 for the egg /bacon breakfast but the over easy eggs we received were very dried out (yolk was not runny like it should have been) and it took a while for the eggs to arrive, so not sure if they were pre made and just sitting under a heat lamp in the kitchen, but would not order that again.

I loved the exterior of the Inn, and the lounge area was very nice too. I had a nicely decorated spacious room with a comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. My room was in the cottage attached to the main house and had a small balcony looking out to the garden. A nice choice of breakfast foods were on offer and fresh coffee available all day.

The door to my balcony needed some attention as I was unable to use it. The decor in the dining room was a bit regimented, not suiting the era of the house. Garden also needed a little TLC.

Comfortable, breakfast good, parking is hit and miss but we got a spot on the property. Location okay.

We stayed in a Premium Queen in the house (annex) at the rear of the main house. We had a ground floor room number 402 and was right next to the main entrance door and heard everybody coming and going as well as the noisy floorboards above our bed on the first floor who rose before 7am each morning. Good hotel overall withe great patios and gardens. Would stay there again but not in that room.

I like the hostel creates a welcoming environment like staying at someone's home- facilities are good and clean, and really loved the lounge area for working and studying outside of the bedroom. The breakfast is a bit under expectation - was expecting some hot food, or better qualities of the bakery items. Coffees and tea station is excellent, also loved many choices for bread spread. Love the text reminder for door code during the night hours.

Room was charming and spotless. Front desk staff were friendly, and very clear about the front door being locked (needing a code) in the late evening!. Having a coffee bar and bagel to start the day was great, and such a beautiful surrounding.....got our day off to a great start.

Nothing - we had a great 1 night stay. One thing: we never thought to check for plug ins for the car, given the age of the facility - that would have been helpful to know (just saw before we left).

We loved the feel of the property. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a nice touch, as was having access to the gardens to sit and relax after a hot day walking around.

Could’ve leaned more into the vibe of the place. The room we had (the spire room) was really sparsely decorated and didn’t really fit with the rest of the place. I think more work is needed on the rooms as the decor was also a bit tired
