This is a charming comfortable vintage inn located close enough to all the activity of Niagara Falls but just enough removed being on river road to be calm and relaxing after a day out. With a WEGO stop at the front door you have the option to leave the car to head downtown. The staff are friendly welcoming and attentive and the breakfast hot and tasty. The property provides wonderful spaces to relax and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Being decorated for the holidays it was wonderful to sit in the lounge and enjoy the lights the fireplace and the atmosphere. With free parking and access to a common kitchenette, the Chestnut Inn is a wonderful home away from home. Thank you Robin for making our stay so wonderful. We can't wait to return. 😊

Very good location to Niagara Falls. Robin was an excellent communicator and was kind enough to allow us to secure our bicycles inside. Good after hours check in system. Breakfast was huge! Our King room was very large with a balcony on the lower roof which we enjoyed! Free parking was also very much appreciated.

More flexibility around Breakfast timing since some guests wanted to depart a little earlier and the hot breakfast is at 9am though a breakfast bag was offered. Windows didn't close all the way which resulted in a chilly room (did not use the heating system). It would be nice to have instructions for the TV (eg what channels are available, what streaming services are available). Smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways...perhaps guests smoking in their rooms??

The room was very well appointed with several old-fashioned items such as lighting, window appearance and trim. But it had all the modern amenities like full internet TV, free WIFI, locally controlled A/C and a small walk-in closet. Yet with all these additions, it maintained the look and feel of the original house. One surprise was a full breakfast, not a continental breakfast as advertised.

On occasion there was a slight smell of cigarette smoke at the back door hallway but it was only intermittent.

The balconies were lovely. View of the river was pretty. Breakfast was amazing .

We didn’t get the room that I had booked. The blinds in the bathroom had some slats missing. Had to throw a blanket over it. In the morning, we could smell cigarette smoke from downstairs.

Very convenient the wego bus stopped right in front of property. Parking on site. Robin is amazing host.

The bathtub very uncomfortable curtain much too close for washing your body. Can be dangerous if not good balance getting in n out of tub nothing to hold onto. Bathroom also needs a table or counter to keep your toiletries.

Friendly helpful staff, easy check in. Coffee, water etc always available. Great location less than 100 meters from Niagra river. Close enough to the falls and to the Whirlpool river/gorge walk. Very clean. Bed was really comfortable and super bedsheets. Nice Shower and tasteful room decor. Breakfast was better than expected. Nice to chat with other guests from the room below over breakfast.

The larger aircon/heater had two plastic tubes at the back. A window was 10cm ajar to allow the tubes to exit the bedroom. Some effort had been made to cancel out night road noise, but not sufficiently. River road is not that busy after 11:00 pm, so it did not affect us.

Robin's intel on the area was very helpful. The breakfasts she prepared for us were wonderful, and served with lots of hot coffe. Your location along the river is in town, but away from the skyscrapers and casino, which is refreshing. We would come back.

The Inn obvously has some history. Would be good to know more about prevous ownership and when the place was built. You won't find many other places in Canada with as much history as this area has.

Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The WeGo bus stops right outside, I highly recommend this as parking is expensive at all the attractions. Big delicious breakfast kept us full until dinner.

The tv was hard to figure out and one night kept turning off by itself. Shower could have been better but overall comfortable, convienient, would stay again.

hostess was friendly and helpful. we had specific needs for food and she made a big effort to accommodate. rooms are very big and comfortable, comfortable beds.

Breakfast was great and the property was lovely. The hosts accommodated our late check-in. The bed/linens were very comfortable. WeGo stop was right outside, so it was convenient to get to and from the Falls without worrying about parking.

The shower was difficult to use - shower head was too low and the shower curtain hung inside the tub so that your body was effectively wrapped in it. The pilot light in the fireplace was on, making the room too hot in late September.
