The rooftop terrace facilites were great and the rooms were clean and spacious.

The rooms were lacking... There were no frying pans, roasting pans, water jug or hand soap provided. Parking was a little expensive, considering that the location almost requires a vehicle. One of the rooms, which my daughter with her family of 4 had, did not have a sofa bed as requested/promised and one other room had no table lamp. Also, although no cribs were available; it would have been great if they were! In my room the A/C - thermostat malfunctioned and the elevator near us, failed a few times during our stay.

Great Facilities and Rooftop Experience The rooftop area was spacious with plenty of different seating options, perfect for relaxing or socializing. There were two large hot tubs offering fantastic views. Inside, there was ample seating as well, along with well-equipped fitness rooms. Overall, a great space to unwind and stay active. The apartment was a good size and included a private balcony.

However, the blinds were quite thin, so the room wasn’t very dark at night—something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper. Also, the bathroom floor could have been cleaner.

Close to Little Italy and Chinatown. Close to 417. You can easily walk to Dows Lake. There is a lovely little restaurant on the main floor that makes grabbing a coffee or snack easy. We were in an upper unit this time and it was very quiet, except for the freeway, which really wasn’t a big issue for us. The staff are so friendly. I also like that there is no cleaning unless you ask for it. The full kitchen is nice.The views from the top are spectacular.

You are only given one key to the room and we sometimes go places separately. And the concierge was unable to get us another fob. So we had to do more planning than usual in a couple of instances. Our room was very warm (25C) even with the heat off and all the windows open (we don’t use air conditioning) so we’re not sure what was up with that. The bathroom is very small. First world problems, all of them.

Parking was very secure and felt safe. As a larger group (7), we really enjoyed the rooftop facilities and we ate 2 meals up there. A nice vibe on the rooftop.

We found having only 1 fob when there were 2 couples in the apartment quite inefficient. Especially when we had to lug our meal, utensils, plates, etc over to the other building to go to the rooftop. This created a lot of inconvenience, as we always needed a fob to go up the elevator. If there could have been 2 fobs per room, it would have made a huge difference.

We had a great time here. We booked two rooms, as our family of four travelled with another family of three. One room was on the third floor, the other was on the "penthouse 1" floor. Both rooms were compact, but comfortable and convenient. The penthouse room was not at all bigger, nor more luxurious, only higher up. We enjoyed the SKY lounge, both the indoor and outdoor space. The lounging areas were comfortable and plentiful. The rooftop hot tubs were busy over the long weekend, understandably, but we waited and got a turn to relax and enjoy.

Everything was beyond our expectations. The apartments were extremely clean, fully renovated, and had everything needed and more. The rooms are a good size, comfortable beds, very nice linen. We all loved having balconies and everyone was amazed by the sky top terrace and it's amenities. Parking was close by and very safe. We loved having filtered water always available in the theater room. We will definitely come back next year and will tell our friends that LIV is the best place to stay in Ottawa.

The pillows could have been a bit softer (but this is to my taste). Everything else was truly great and I literally have no more complaints whatsoever.

I liked the cute room and nice view. I loved how soundproof it seemed (I was at the end of the hall which helped). I could hear people in the hallway on occasion but never anyone in any other suites. I also appreciated that it was only about a block away to the bus stop which was easy to use, extremely affordable, and went directly downtown without transfers. I didn’t plan to use the bus but once I saw how easy it was, I was hooked and used a lot of transit.

There was no dish soap or tea towels or k-cups. So while you had dishes and a dish cloth, if you didn’t use the dishwasher (there were dishwasher tabs) then there was no way to wash or dry. And no coffee which is standard in most hotel rooms. Also the pressure in the shower was pretty poor and even budget hotels seems to do a better job at providing a shower head that can have pressure adjusted. So while there were some perks to this place, if you don’t need the kitchen, just find a hotel maybe. Oh and bathroom was tiny but that didn’t bother me too much other than having no counters.

Attractive foyer, there was a great atmosphere in the building and facilities were great. Pristine apartment, which was well equipped. Staff at the front desk were friendly. The cafe downstairs was a God send, delicious dishes created by Trevor... lovely guy. It was too far for us in the heat to walk downtown, Ubers were very reasonable.

Nothing not to like... There was an evacuation of the building, the fire brigade was called out as the alarm was set off. There wasn't a fire, but there was also no communication, about when it was safe to return to our rooms.

Very clean good location

4 people booked the room. Given 3 towels hand towels and wash cloths for 4 days had to keep going to the desk for towels and more than 3 keurigs in the room and enough soap and shampoo, Cafe was supposed to open at 9;00 for Brunch before we left by sign at the door. Got down at 9;15 chairs still on the table lights off and were told they would open in about half hr so she can get coffee made and prepare. When you have a sign stating what time you open everything should be done and up and running by the time you are supposed to open

The front desk staff were not very attentive. When we arrived no more one was at the desk and we waited for about 10 mins before someone showed up. When we were checking out at 7:30 am the person at the desk didn’t know how to deal with an issue we were having about taking the garbage out from our room so the check out was not very smooth
