Alan is very helpful, and he tries his best. I found the place very cute and pleasant. I adored my room. My bed was comfy. Location is perfect. Even if you do not have a car, you can walk to the places to eat. I liked the no-shoes policy. They put on new slippers for people to go upstairs. They put many water bottles, which made me very happy because it's hard to find water immediately. I stayed in the room with a separate bathroom. I really liked it. Because of the AC, I got sick, but they helped me and took care of my problem, and they blocked the AC in my room. They provide the ingredients for breakfast, which is very logical; each breakfast is $5.

Kitchen pans were too old and full of scratches, and it is not healthy to use old Teflon/aluminum pans. There were no sponges in the kitchen, so I could not clean my dishes properly.

It was good I enjoyed the stay and person was good he even ask me if I want to extend my stay i I told him that I have to move on to my next location he was also good as he said he would charge me a cheaper price then what Booking.com charges so he says just go on line at his website to book accommodations and he would let me know the price and for how many days night's

Nothing much to say he was a very helpful person and always keep it clean 💯 👌 and told me to rinse out the dishes and put in the dishwasher and they would wash also he would have a separate place for Guest dishes cups 🥤 😉 😀 😄

Clean, convenient, comfortable.

Had issues communicating with staff. Using messages wasn’t perfect and missed some until it was too late and tried to send one but it didn’t go through for some reason? We planned to buy the breakfasts but my message didn’t go through. I didn’t see that it didn’t go through until the next day and it was too late. Otherwise it’s a very good place to stay! I recommend 100%! The gentleman that was there was very nice but his English wasn’t great and we had a little trouble communicating but it all worked out!

The place was very cozy and clean. The host thoughtfully provided tea bags, water, and even earplugs for free, making the stay very comfortable and convenient. The host also did their best to keep the place quiet, creating a perfect environment for rest. The house is located by the river, safe in the night, and I walked to the train station at sunrise in the next morning. The riverside scenery was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. It’s an excellent place to stay if you’re traveling to the U.S. or returning to Canada. I will definitely come back next time!

Beautiful location and nice rooms. The host was nice and provided tea, coffee, and snacks. He was also very accommodating! The bathrooms were incredible and the view was great! This place also includes parking, which is a great plus!

I stayed in two different rooms a few days apart at the beginning and end of my bigger trip. The room with the balcony was a bit tight, but it did include it's own bathroom and of course the balcony. The door to that room was also difficult to open. Still nice and clean though with everything you would need. A room with a king bed facing the street with a shared bathroom was a bigger space. Unfortunately one of the window blinds was broken so I was not able to close it fully to keep out morning light. Besides that it was very nice. Although the bathroom was shared the shower was incredible. It was huge with a waterfall shower head! A few things need some fixing, but overall it is a great space.

The host was very responsive and answered all of our questions quickly. They also made sure that our car had a convenient parking spot after we arrived to our room for the night.

The blind in the room must be pulled down at night or you will be kept awake by the tapping as the AC vent is directly above the window and the blind constantly moves. We would have loved to have had the blind up so we could wake up with the sun. Perhaps some sort of padding on the corners of the blind could help to reduce the tapping sound of the blind against the wall when it is up.

This property is right on the waterfront. The view from the room with balcony is fantastic, you look directly at the Detroit skyline. The room was comfortable, the temperature was always pleasantly cool, and we appreciated the shared microwave, refrigerator just outside the room. The host was extremely accommodating.

The bed sank a little in the middle. That's the only negative!

The location was very convenient. The guest house was comfortable and cozy and the host, Alan, was welcoming and accommodating. He checked in with us to make sure everything was okay and offered to do a load of laundry for us. It was great that we were able to use bowls, cutlery, etc. in the kitchen and you can put items in the fridge and even cook meals in the kitchen! We really enjoyed our stay.

We wanted to come to Windsor to watch the Detroit River Fireworks, Buy I didn't want to spend a lot of money, I found Alans house on Booking.com, it is across the street from the river, we put our chairs on the front lawn and watched the show from there, Alan is very hospitable, I would definitely stay there again

There's a TV in the room but no local or live TV only movies, all the rooms are upstairs and a very steep stairway, when I looked at the picture it looked like ground level, my fault though I should have asked

What an absolute treat to stay in this lovely, clean, warm and loving home. I can't say enough about how cozy, comfortable and safe I felt there. Alan is an absolute gem of a man who clearly loves making guests feel welcome. Every detail was so lovingly thought out. It is really hard to describe the experience of staying here, but within minutes of arriving I felt as if all of my stresses had dissolved completely. I loved the little basket of treats in my room, and how Alan had the bedside lamp switched on and a video of a crackling fireplace playing on the t.v. screen. The amenities just outside of the rooms included a fridge, microwave, coffee and tea supplies. And the big beautiful common area and kitchen downstairs were amazing.

No complaints. Everything was perfect.
