Staff is very friendly and helpful. I really liked the length of the bed! I could really stretch out without sticking my feet out of the bed.

Not a lot of restaurants nearby, but the buses are frequent!

The Auberge is very clean and comfortable. Easy to access from the highway so getting anywhere else in Montreal and getting in and out of town is good - just depends on traffic! Lots of free parking too!

Better blackout curtains would help with the outdoor lights shining in at night. The vertical blinds are good, but not fully effective.

Everything was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Great value for money. Bonus points for the freezer and free parking. Special thanks to the staff — so friendly and attentive. We felt at home from day one. We’ll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay — everything was clean and cozy! One small suggestion: it would be great to have a kettle in the room to make tea. It would add even more comfort, especially after a long day of travel. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Travelling from the UK, I was unsure of location distances from the montreal Centre, but the cost was reasonable as we were spending a month travelling after our weeks stay. It was perfectly clean and comfortable. Once mastered, the buses were not a problem getting about. The staff were friendly and helpful when we asked for anything. I would recommend for anyone on a budget or the odd night stop over. There were plenty of shops and a very friendly boxing, martial arts studio nearby.

My preference with the mattress I found it hard for me to spend the week on , I bought an airpad as I was on a month long trip anyway. My son thought it was ok.

It's reasonably close to the nearest highway. The rooms have been clean and good AC every year that I've stayed here. Parking is also a bonus. And the nearest Metro station is Vendome which is about 20 minutes walk. There usually is a bus that stops in front, but that will be explained in the 'what I didn't like'. The room has a fridge and microwave, which is a plus. The pricing in Montreal is still really high in the summer, for all hotels/motels, but I was able to get this place for a decent price considering its location proximity to the Metro, and parking was free.

Not a fan of the small table and bar chairs. It's hard to use for eating or using a laptop, so I end up using one of the night tables as a desk. This year, the motel had road construction out front, which made it tricky getting in or out by car. The bus stop right outside the motel, that takes you to the Metro station, is not in use, but strangely, instead of making a temporary one nearby, you are forced to walk a block away to the next one. Coming from the Metro station isn't as bad, the bus stop on the other side of the street is still in service.

Super friendly staff, super clean (even outside), great tasting coffee from the reception (not only in the morning), bathroom newly renovated, big room with  new furniture. Many supermarkets, cafés and restaurants in walking distance.

Smart TV was not smart (no streaming). A freezer compartment in the fridge would have been nice. A little too expensive in comparison to other places and given that breakfast was not available.

The room was basic but immaculate. It had a fridge and microwave, ample clean towels, and hot water. A bus stop infront of the motel connects with the metro or will take you directly into Montreal. The free coffee provided at the front office was good and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Transit tickets are available at a nearby convenience store where they speak fluent English. Food wise, an Indian restaurant is a short walk away which I would recommend. If you don't mind walking, there is also a nearby large grocery store, and a bit further on a Tim Hortons and a MacDonalds. I just parked my car for my entire stay!

Excellent price for the accommodations. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the wifi worked great, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Katerina deserves to be recognized for her great customer service. I stayed here last summer. 8 weeks later, when I needed a place to stay for a couple of days in Montreal, I didn't even look for other accommodations, I went right back to Auberge St. Jacques. Understand that this is not a fancy motel, there is no pool or restaurant on site; it is basic, safe, clean accommodation with free parking. Downtown is only a few minutes away by car. If you don't have a car, no worries, it's on a bus route and minutes away from the best Metro (subway) system in the world.

The only thing missing is a restaurant or free continental breakfast. But at this price point, combined with the features this motel has, it's understandable that there is no restaurant or breakfast provided.

I got a standard Queen room. Although it was designated a non-smoking room I could still smell smoke. The room was clean, both the bathroom and bedroom were large. I loved that the bathtub was large and deep enough to soak in. There’s a mini fridge and space to hang clothing. The staff were pleasant and efficient.

I didn’t like the neighborhood, there were no restaurants or convenience stores within walking distance. The carpets in the room and throughout the property were worn and frayed.
