The location is perfect. Close to everything. Grocery store, restaurants, fast food et.
It wasn’t clean enough. We saw hair strands on the bathroom floor. The sink was leaking and water getting all over the place. And they don’t clean your room daily.

We got the Deluxe Queen room for 2. It was a great value for money and at a great location, close to the old port and city centre with a metro station 3mins from it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The reception provided free capsule coffee which we liked. Rooms had a big fridge, kettle, microwave and air conditioning that we used happily. Overall we enjoyed our stay and were satisfied with our choice.
Even though there were a lot of cabinets in the kitchenette area there were no plates or cuttlery or even glasses in any of them which was strange. The walls towards the corridor were very thin being able to hear everyone going past. The room also didn't have the best ventillation. After warming some food in the microwave it tooks 2 days for the food smell to dissipate. Be weary that it is located near a square that attracted many homeless suffering from mental health issues that would roam the area screaming. Never caused any problem to us but families may want to have that in mind.

I've stayed at Hotel Saint-Andre multiple times over the last two decades. The price, the staff, facility and location have always been my best option when visiting Montreal. The recent renovations add an additional level of comfort and modernization to the facility. Having a staffed 24-hour front desk has always added a sense of security for me.
I missed the light breakfast being delivered to my room each morning. However, the lack of breakfast forced me to venture out each morning to try a new option in the neighborhood. (Note: Highly recommend Cafe Lulu which is just around the corner from the hotel.)

This was my second stay here, and I was as pleased as before. Khadija in the morning and Basol at night were pleasant and helpful. Everyone in the hospitality industry could learn from them how a smile can go a long way to make a guest feel they enjoy their jobs. My room and bathroom appeared to have been recently renovated and were spotless and contained all the amenities I needed: comfortable bed, microwave, fridge, lockbox and a great shower. The St Andre’ was an excellent choice for me. First, the location: a short walk to both the subway and the bus station, an excellent grocery store a block away, and the attractions of Ste Catherine Street at the corner. Second, the value: reserve in advance, fully refundable, and get a rate for most dates at under US $100.

Great location, great staff, comfortable bed and very good A/C unit. The room is spacious and they offer a daily breakfast in the lobby. You can tell that the building and the facilities are old, but newly renovated, however that is not anything that affected our stay at all.

The hotel overall is a great place. It was recently renovated a few years back. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. It is accessible to all that I want to get to while in Montreal.
They NEED to get coffee makers in the room. Every other hotel on this God's Earth has at least a Kuering in the room. I have to bring a mini coffeemaker with me when staying here. Not a big deal, really, but I would prefer to just bring k-cups with me instead of a coffeemaker.

Room was clean and modern. It was small (and the desk wasn't functional because it was too close to the bed) but it had everything we needed. There was a small refrigerator and microwave and AC but we didn't use any of those this time. We did use the safe in the closet. Bed was comfortable and towels were very nice. Shower had great water pressure and hot water. Location was great for visiting downtown and Old Town. We walked or rode Bixi bikes to Old Town, waterfront, and Biosphere.
Doors to rooms are metal and very loud when being closed. I tried to pull our door shut slowly but it still made a loud clunk. Most people just let their door shut on its own and it made a loud slam. We could hear people walking and talking in the halls very clearly. Hotel doesn't have carpeting which is good for being clean/less dust my opinion, but I think it made sounds louder. I would definitely stay again, but I would use foam ear plugs for sleeping. Also, bathroom did not have a place to hang large towels, only small hand towel rack. No shower curtain or rod either.

The place has greatly improved. The rooms are stellar. Clean, comfortable, and modernized facilities. Quiet, as I rarely heard the guests in the adjoining rooms. Great location, with easy access to parking and other amenities. An all around nice stay. Will be back for sure.
I was very disappointed that there was not coffee available in the lobby. That seems to be a simple enough accommodation for folks paying to stay there since there are no coffee makers in the rooms. Good thing I decided to bring one with me or I would have been very perturbed if I had to go out in the morning to get my coffee! The only qualm I have in an otherwise stellar review.

Joseph the front desk worker was EXCELLENT! He was very accommodating and personable. Very smart as well as he speaks English, French and Spanish Cleaning Staff was very good as well.
A lot of mental health issues, drug users and homelessness in the area around St Catherines St. but it is not the fault of the hotel. Despite the above, at no point did I feel unsafe.

Location was great. Staff were nice.
First of all, it’s been 10 days of my stay and my security deposit of $250 hasnt been returned to my card yet. Me and my son stayed for one night only, there was no damage or no reason to keep my deposit. I’ve called and message the hotel a dozen of times but nobody answers messages or calls. I need my $250 back. Room was very small but okay for a night only.
