⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Staying at Novotel Shanghai was nothing short of incredible. The location is absolutely amazing—perfect for exploring the city and soaking in everything Shanghai has to offer. The breakfast at the revolving restaurant? Simply stunning. Starting my day with a panoramic view of the city skyline while enjoying a delicious and varied breakfast was a highlight I’ll never forget. The service was flawless from start to finish. Every member of staff I encountered seemed genuinely eager to help and always ready to go the extra mile to make my stay perfect. That kind of hospitality really makes a difference. I was blown away by the room I was given—a spacious corner suite on the 35th floor with breathtaking views of both the river and the Bund. It honestly made my Shanghai experience unforgettable. The free laundry service for guests was such a thoughtful and practical touch, especially for travelers on longer trips. I also made time to relax at the spa and swimming pool, which were just as luxurious and well-kept as the rest of the hotel. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I’ll definitely be back!

If I had to nitpick, I’d say the TV image quality could use a little upgrade—it seemed a bit blurred, possibly due to a low-speed connection. But honestly, with Shanghai at your feet, who needs to spend time watching TV?

Location. Restaurant view and food also staff friendly and understanding. My flight was delayed and although I have book for 2days they charge me only for one day as I arrive by the second day

This hotel was a bit of a splurge for me, as a budget traveler, but definitely worth it and a good value for the area! The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, and the view of the Pudong side of the river with its iconic skyscrapers was incredible! (See night skyline photo taken from my room on the 36th floor.) In the not-currently-revolving restaurant on the 50th floor, I enjoyed both the evening "happy hour" (buffet & open bar for ~$12 USD, which was enough for dinner) and the plentiful breakfast buffet, included in the room rate. (See sunrise photo taken from restaurant.) The staff were friendly and helpful, spoke English well, and allowed me a late checkout at no extra charge. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

The hotel is located in the heart of Pudong Lujiazui, making it incredibly convenient for both business and leisure travelers. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities. One of the highlights of my stay was the 50th-floor revolving restaurant, which offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Shanghai. The breakfast buffet had a great mix of Western and Chinese options, ensuring there was something for everyone. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. Overall, the Novotel Atlantis Shanghai is a great place to stay.

Our favorite hotel stay in China. Excellent value, large luxurious rooms, decent gym and pool. Location close to subway station. Breakfast is AMAZING!!! The revolving restaurant and food selection in the morning is excellent.

Dinner options disappointing. Pools swimming cap policy is strange, although they let you use communal caps. Great revolving rooftop restaurant underutilised for dinner which is a shame, menu was very limited. Some food options nearby around the subway station with varying degrees of quality. Probably worth riding the metro into town for soup dumplings rather than eating locally.

I recently stayed at the Novotel Atlantis Shanghai, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel boasts an **excellent view**, especially from the upper floors, which was one of the highlights of my stay. The **rooms were comfortable** but are starting to show their age and could benefit from some refurbishment to match modern expectations. The **breakfast was decent**, with a good variety of options, though nothing particularly outstanding. I found the **pricing reasonable**, offering good value for the location and amenities. One area for improvement would be the **language support**—having more staff fluent in English would greatly enhance the experience for international guests.

Overall, I’d recommend the Novotel Atlantis Shanghai for its views and value, but a few updates and service enhancements would make it even better.

The room we booked had an incredible view of The Bund, exactly as advertised. Check-in was smooth and very quick. The staff even ordered a taxi for us, as we couldn’t register on the app where we could have ordered it ourselves. I’d like to highlight a personal experience to showcase the excellent attitude of the staff. We met John, the Assistant General Manager, on the shared balcony, and he asked about our satisfaction with the hotel. We told him everything was perfect and mentioned a building we could see from our room but couldn’t identify. He personally took the time to come up to our room and check it out for us. We had a great chat with him, and he shared many interesting insights about Shanghai, China, and other topics. Overall, the hotel is amazing—I can’t recommend it enough.

The hotel is located in a skyscraper in Pudong, a bit further away from all other skyscrapers, therefore the view from the hotel is wonderful. Other than the wonderful view, the room I stayed was big and had all comfort. Price is reasonable for such kind of hotel.

Not a real issue for me, but it is important to know that the hotel is not at walking distance from the centre where all attractions are, you need to take the metro. Fortunately there are two metro lines at 5 minutes walking distance. One of them is line 2 which goes directly to Pudong airport.

Great price-value, terrace has amazing skyline view, although only on 5th floor, we had breakfast and even dinner included, which is both on 50th floor in a slowly rotating Restaurant, really atmospheric! Our room also had a breathtaking view at the skyline including Shanghai tower, perfectly clean, nice rain shower and even heated toilet seats. Definetly recommend! Funfact: The building has an Aldi (german supermarket chain) at ground floor.

It is a bit to walk from the nearest metro, but also not too bad(~10min). However, you can also just bike in 15mins to Shanghai Oriental Tower along the river, really beautiful, especially at night!
